Does anyone wish to help me with the sound track for Twilight Valley?
All I need are suggestions and a review of the pieces I chose.
The criteria for the music suggestions:
Lyrics are fine
ABSOLUTELY NO RAP OR HIP-HOP
Try to avoid electronic (I can't seem to find a piece of electronic music that fits well in LBT and I have about 10+ CDs of electronic music and about 45% of the music on my computer is electronic music.)

If it's okay with you, maybe you could add two more character battle themes? In fact here's one that would be perfect for one of the fights.

Your suggestion for Littlefoot's Theme is perfect and definately a keeper.
Your suggestions for Sierra's Theme and Pterano's Themes are quite good.
Your suggestions for Petrie's Theme and Ducky's Theme are not quite right.
As for the Ending Theme, I have considered your suggestion but I have also considered the characters in the fan fic actually singing Peaceful Valley (LBT song that plays at the credits of LBT 2)
Also I have considered Dalai Lama (Rammstein) for Sierra's Theme. The track in question is a harsh metal piece with a strong element of terror and a supernatural feel.

I have considered adding military music (as in actual military marches) into this soundtrack. I did mention I am aiming for a militaristic slant in Twilight Valley (response to Chiletrek's suggestion to call the squadrons "flight groups" instead) but I'm debating if including military marches (or a similar type of music) is taking things too far.
I have even tossed around the idea of a platoon of dinosaurs marching or training to a Marine-style cadence. But, I think that's best reserved for "true" furry literature. Sorry, you won't see Deimos, Littlefoot or Ducky running or sparring to Marine-style cadences (though that would be pretty funny :lol)
Although Fighting 17th (Theme of the Great Valley Air Corps) does sound kinda militaristic (It's from the movie Backdraft).
Spoiler: You will later see Ducky sparring with Hyp, and other dinos sparring with each other and engaged in military style training. (Thanks to FF.net author Falcon88 for that idea!)

Well, I am happy to see that you liked my suggestion, I think it sounds not too much militaristic but still keeping some organization in how the groups are formed.
About the music, well, military marchs are too very human and I don't think it matches the LBT universe at all, but you may still find good music you may use somewhere.

Actually, Chiletrek, I decided to use the term "squadron" for the fliers and I am actually aiming for a militaristic slant in my fan fiction because the Great Valley is at war.

Will Guido, Ruby, Screech, Red Claw and Thug be in your Twilight Valley story with or without theme's of their own as well. And I was also thinking that maybe the Touch from the (1986 verson) Transformers movie would work for the Sierra vs Pterano as a battle theme? This was the same theme used for the final fight between Optimus Prime and Megatron before Optimus Prime's death in the movie!

Serris I hate to tell you this but the two Matrix songs that you have for Littlefoot vs Excidium and Phobos vs Deimos, they kind of sound the like the same song?
I think it would be better if you changed the Littlefoot vs Excidium to Duel of Fates (Star Wars: Episode I) Not only that, but you could use for the Final battle Theme!

Navras is more "fluid" and not quite as aggressive as Neodammerung.
I chose Navras because of the Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer that synched Raiden and Vamp fighting. The "fluid" nature of Navras fits well with the very acrobatic fight between Phobos and Deimos.

The only problem is Driving With the Top Down vs. Ride of the Valkyries . Both are fast and energetic tracks. But I just realized that I want to add a VERY famous war movie reference to the chapter that features the assault on Cloud Island. And I'm not sure if Driving With the Top Down, a fast piece that is pretty heavy on the electric guitars, is really appropriate for an air battle.
I'll keep it for now and see what the others have to say.

Retaking of the Great Valley is now Primo Victoria (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZm4zseMok0) by Sabaton.
The music of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton seems to fit EXTREMELY well with Twilight Valley, mainly because most of their music is so martial and aggressive sounding and Twilight valley is a war story.
Now the only problem is that their lyrics specifically reference historical events and there's a bit of a "Lyrical Dissonance". Yeah, Primo Victoria is specifically about D-Day. Granted, the Retaking of the Great Valley is somewhat analogous to D-Day but still...

I still think "Save Me" by Remy Zero (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lelsZiuVf4w) would be a good song, maybe for a part when a character is trapped or being held prisoner somewhere.

And yes, "Primo Victoria" is still amazing without the lyrics but the problem is that part of the lyrics make perfect sense in context. And no instrumental version exists.

From the heart by X ray dog(believe me,this group dosen't do rap,because they are way too good for it) could be used for the ending theme the song is just nice, sad,soothing and calm. but it also makes you feel like justice has prevail and evil is no more.

I think that depends on the person and their preference in music. For me, if I were making up a soundtrack for one of my fanfics, I couldn't turn to instrumentals because I am unable to "get enough information" from an instrumental to know which theme it would suit best as, so I'd turn to lyrical songs instead.

I "hybridize" my soundtracks.
Sometimes I prefer instrumental but instrumental versions sometimes do not exist. I would prefer an instrumental version of Primo Victoria but that does not exist.
Also, the lyrics are sometimes very appropriate. Fly has the refrain, "I will fly right to the paradise." This fits perfectly with how Ducky and Chomper will leave Cloud Island for paradise.
