Scalies I'd say. In oblivion I like Argonians best, the fact in might and magic 8 that you can get dragons to join your party.

The only ones that immediately pop into my head is Spyro and Fox McCloud.

I have a few but Mobius 1 is my absoulte favorite game character because he's the Ace combat world's equivlent of Chuck Norris.

My top Five:
5. Sonic the Hedgehog
He's fast! He's blue! He's in the very first video game I've ever played! (Sonic II-Genesis)
4. Gordan Freeman (Half Life 2)
This guy has a way with words, he never uses them! And plus, he's got the Gravity Gun; possibly the greatest gun ever made for gaming.
3. Big Daddies and Little Sisters (Bioshock)
I found the relationship between these two to (Ha! Three "T" words in a row!) be very important for the great story in this game. And the Big Daddies kick major rear! Giant drills FTW!
2. Sam Fisher (Splinter Cell series)
I loved the goggles.
1. TIE: Master Chief (Halo series) AND Haggard, Sweetwater, Redford, and Preston (Battlefield Bad Company)
I couldn't decide between these two (or five...). Master Chief is THE one man army. And I love the hilarious relationship between the boys from B Company.

Don't worry. I know exactly why Mario is sometimes credited as being a painter. There was a farily populer game for the SNES called Mario Painter. It's very fun by the way. But it is full of Mario content, like pictures and songs. It's called Mario Painter because the main function of the game is letting you paint pictures. Several colors, ways to place them, and many icons to add to your creations. I have never heard of Mario as a painter besides in this game, so I assume that this is where that comes from. I hope this helps.
My favorite video game character would have to be Luna from Lunar: Sliver Star Story for the Sega Saturn and PlayStation 1. Most of my favorite video game characters are healers and she is my favorite one. Like most healers, her powers are mostly related to restoring health or curing a status ailment, but healers do have a variety. She can increase a character's stats, put enemies to sleep, or scare all non boss enemies away to receive no experience at all. She's kind, thoughtful, and innocent. She has a unique way of dressing that fits her well, she is rather beautiful, and her smile really hits you. She looks like this:

I love singing and she is amazing at it. She is actually well-known in her home town of Burg for her extraordinary singing beauty. If you would like to see and hear her sing:

But where does her healing power come from that I mentioned her having? It's her voice. She can cast various healing or other spells by singing a certain combination of notes without any words. These notes are the same for every spell. She just has to concentrate on what power of hers she wants to use and those same notes will do whatever it is she wants. If you would like to see her using those notes in battle for various effects, you can see an example here of her single ally healing and her status boosting:

She has attitude that she uses toward Alex because she loves him and wants to keep him in check. She cares for everyone around her and would give her life to save everyone (literally). It is so sad why she can't be with someone fot the rest of her life, because of what she really is. Having to constantly see everyone around you eventually die would make someone miserable indeed, but she continues to be the loving and optimistic one she is despite that. All these things are why I like her more than any other game character I've come across so far. Later.

As a great fan as I am of Zelda, I'd say Link is currently the leader of my preference.
I mean, he's a swordsman, archer, you name it.

My favorites are:
3. Shadow the Hedgehog since he's a pretty cool anti-hero and is more serious than Sonic. He also helps people despite all the trouble he had with them in his past.
2. Miles 'Tails' Prower because he's really sort of just a normal kid and a little naive wihch I find somewhat interesting to see in a character for some reason.
1. Spyro and Cynder both get the number one slot since I can't decide which of the two I like better. They're both dragons and I've always loved dragons, not to mention both are pretty interesting characters.

Francis from Left 4 Dead
He's a great comic relief character. He hates everything. Stairs, hospitals, doctors, the water, boats, helocopters, planes, airports, lawyers...
The only thing he doesn't hate are vests.

Argonians from Oblivion-I hope in in the next Scrolls game they allow you to become a Count or Countess and actually get to run a city, get a wife or Husband, etc.. thats about the only thing Oblivion was missing, the ability to settle down and get married..sure you can buy houses, weapons, etd, but you can't get married.. <_<

Wow, once again a tough choice. Out of all the video game characters I know and love, my top three would have to be:
3. Sub-Zero (Mortal Kombat)
When I was five I first started playing Mortal Kombat. Back then, I was in the Power Ranger/Ninja phase, so it obviously appealed to me. Now that I am older, I've come to appreciate Mortal Kombat for all it's violence, blood, and over-the-top characters. Sub-Zero has always been my favorite of the series.
2. Shadow the Hedgehog
What can I say? Shadow is a badass handsdown! He may not be as fast as his blue counterpart, but he makes up for it with everything else. I have always preferred Shadow over Sonic and will continue to every day.
1. Isaac (Golden Sun)
Golden Sun is probably my all time favorite video game so far, which makes perfect sense that a character from it is my favorite. Isaac is cool because he's a kid like me except he can use Earth based magic to defeat his opponents. I don't know how else to explain it, but Isaac has that persona that screams out "awesome hero".
