Or so he was the head editor of a newspaper. An elderly lady I befriended up at my town square had set me up to met with a man who was the editor of the Huntsville Times (a big paper around the Alabama and south Tennessee areas) so he may see my artwork and stuff.
we're to meet at a snazzy restaurant for the meeting, and chances are he'll be able to help me to get a job working for some newspaper as a cartoonist or an artist for adds and what not.
Though I am concerned about my posture (sit up straight, eat slowly and in small bites, etc) I'm not too nervous about the meeting. I just hope it'll be a very productive meeting and that I may can get out of the dreadful poor man's game (working at a Mc Donalds) and get into a nice high paying job using my talents for some agency or studio. (Today, the local papers, tomorrow, DISNEY!)
This meeting is this evening, so I'll be of getting ready as soon as I finish typing this message.
in other news:
I'm temporarily leaving the forum life. I'll stop by to update everyone on everything, but I need to avoid getting into a posting spree, at least until I'm on my feet again and life is going good.
also, Tim (Action) will be taking over the Treestar community for me. I've officially retired my admin status there and handed the keys down to the most likely candidate. Tim was there with me from the very birth of that community, and though it may seem dead now, I trust hat he may can revive it again.
this does not mean I'm leaving these communities, this just means that I'm setting a limit for myself. so that I can prioritize.
when I return, I'll be the good ol Fox everybody knew me as when I first stepped foot in here. RP's will be revived, and I'll post my random humor in various threads.
Watch for the dawning light for my return *salutes and goes about his business*

Just remember at the meeting, or business dinner it may be called to not to eat with your hands, call any adult females you see hot broads or chicks, or wear clothes with holes, patches are that have not been washed in a few weeks. :p

well, the meting went alright, the guy said he'll gladly help me in my job search in the paper industry.
he suggested I put together an online portfolio (which I spent the whole night and this whole morning coding html, making graphics and stringing together all the best work I've done over the years) here's the results (and I know, Geocities sucks. but I cant afford a real site, so meh...)

Just a little sugestion. Maybe you can add some function so that you can go from one to another picture, than the one watching wont lose track of where he was again :D :p (I dont know how.. ) :p

I'm sure we all hope this leads to better things. I guess at worst you can use geocities as a backup site, or an archive site or something.

Sometimes you have to take what you can get, even unpleasant as it can be, never forget your dream though & keep the look out for options and alternatives since you never know when one or more may appear.

Plus it would be easier on your car overall and would give you a dependable reliable amount per paycheck instead of the delivery one which you may make more one day, less another, ect.

Things will a bit less hairpulling once you have a job and less so with your first paycheck. Good luck. Though some stress will likely remain, since I Imagine everybody has stress, even the extremely rich.
