Title: Nintendo Trouble
Post by: DarkHououmon on August 31, 2008, 10:35:37 AM
Hey, has anyone heard about this? I found it on Yahoo News. Apparently, some company has sued Nintendo for stealing their technology for the Wiimote and is trying to stop Wii consoles from being imported into the USA.

Yeah. Nintendo is a very powerful company the last time I checked. I think things will turn out well in their favor.

Are these one of those noname companies who tries to sue Nintendo because of the Wiimote?
I have seen many news like that only with other companies.
They just try to get money because the Wii is successfull. <_<

It's Nintendo. They can handle them.  B)

They may be doing this to try to get some publicly for themselves & perhaps hoping Nintendo will settle out of court.  Suing seems to be the national pastime in this country, not sports games.

Like Person 1: "I'm bored, what do you wanna do?"

2: "I'm not sure, let's pick someone or some large company and sue them, that shoudl pass the time."

I guess the company's owners have been living under a rock for the past two years while Nintendo sells millions of Wiis.

Yeah.  Whatever.

Tch...anything to get a quick buck. And the bigger the company the better it seems. Jokers! Like the people who tried to sue Dan Brown (The author of the book The Da Vinci Code) coz they claimed to have done it first. It was only after about a year when Dan Brown raked in his millions that they decided to file lawsuit...some people eh?  :lol

hey're on the market of videogames almost since it started. Now they stop because a company out of nowhere decides to sue it? Don't think so.

I wonder how long it'll take to be resolved.  Guess only time will tell.

...I'm not as big into consoles as I once was, but, Nintendo?  ...I don't see them being stopped by such a small company...  Especially given the popularity of the Wii here in the US...  However, popularity alone won't stop it...  But, Nintendo's got what it takes to settle this...  So, in time, things should pan out... :p

I guarantee that even if they did get Nintendo to stop production of the Wii that gamers everywhere would personally make sure that company is destroyed, and then Nintendo would go right back to production. Either way, its a lose-lose situation for them.

And if they even manage to get some of Nintendo's money, any loyal gamers will just boycott the company and it'll still end up being a kick to the balls for its finances.

Either way, these idiots are only screwing themselves.
