Title: Futurama
Post by: Tails_155 on September 11, 2008, 11:52:10 PM
This is a great show :p I love it, the goofy jokes, the interesting plot, the overall continuity.... it's spectacular... and their music (by Christopher Tyng) is so good that I actually downloaded the opening theme XD

*vague spoiler* The continuity is spectacular... a character (http://futurama.wikia.com/wiki/Image:NibblerSpacePilot3000.png) who doesn't show up until a later episode... though not much later... has cues about his existence in the first episode... as well as any major plot holes you can point out, are often summed up, explained, and fully covered... it's spectacular... *vague spoiler*

They are no longer airing the show... at least not new episodes, though Comedy Central plays reruns...

They were signed once more by Fox for 4 movies... and I have the first two... and they're great! The special features are even worth checking out! I rarely say that about DVDs, and even more stunning to me, is how the commentary is so great! The cast seems like a lot of fun... and Tress MacNeille (Petrie's Mom) voices no less than 50 characters over the course of the show...

The detail that the team puts into it is astounding... so much real math and physics goes into making things unnecessarily precise, and all the more amazing... the team has several PHDs in math and science between the editors, directors, artists, etc. and they make some jokes so subtle that it's amazing, math jokes that nearly no one would get (I didn't get them until I did even geekier research to actually explain what I missed...

In all this series is amazing, funny, and all around great :) What do you think?

I used to see it on the episodes on Fox, but then it stoped broadcasting it, but now its broadcasting it again, 2 times a week I think.

Also saw the episodes, before in a portuguese channel, but it stopped broadcasting a few months ago, I guess.
It was worth viewing, it was really funny.

I also love this show. Fox had a real goldmine with this, but they dropped ball.

Too bad, because its head and shoulders over the Simpsons, especially as that show is now.

Groening and Cohen are really banking on the 4 DVDs sparking a re-signing, or perhaps a signing with Viacom through Comedy Central

I don't like the show or dislike it.  I used to watch it when there was nothing else on, but other than that it wasn't something I chose to see over anything else I liked to watch.

Futurama is hilarious, and hopefully Futurama will get the Family Guy treatment and be brought back.
