Title: Call of Duty: World at War
Post by: Spartanguy88 on November 06, 2008, 12:24:23 PM
The next CoD game is gonna come out soon, and it's not being made by IW; but this game may still be a good one.

It's back to World War Two, and this time there are two different theatres: the US against the Japanese Empire; and the Russians as they march on Berlin.

What I'm most interested in is it's multiplayer capabilites. Running on the CoD 4 engine, this game looks great. And speaking of CoD 4, this game will have Perks and Create-A-Class mode!

3 Kills (w/o dying)-Recon Plane (Puts up location of enemies on map)
5 Kills (w/o dying)-Artillery
7 Kills (w/o dying)-Attack Dogs (AWSOME!!!!!)

One once you complete the game, you'll unlock a new co-op mode where you and up to three other guys have to fend off Nazi zombies!

Talk about the game here!

Good lord, it seems like CoD 4 just came out. But, not playing video games myself, I'm not exactly an impartial observer.

CoD: WaW hits UK shelves this coming Friday. I'm glad to hear that this one is coming out for Wii as well as 360 and PS3. I loved CoD4 and I'm sorta glad to hear that WaW is the same mechanics and engine as CoD4. Just with the WW2 theme (again). What format are people getting their WaW's for?

I've been looking for a new game, and this looks like something to pick up, I say - Maybe I can pick up a copy for my 360 on the way back down the hill after my appointment tomorrow (technically today, lol) ...In my experience, first-person shooters don't work that well with the Wii.

I'm a little skeptical on this one. I mean, Call of Duty 4 has only been out for less than a year, and now this one comes out. But then again, Call of Duty has always followed this pattern of releasing games close to one another.

It just seems that the producers of Call of Duty 1, 2, and 3 are just remaking Call of Duty 4 except with a WW2 theme. I know that may appeal to some people, but I just think it's a waste.

Then again this is my opinion, but I'd rather save my money for games like Gears of War 2 and Need for Speed Undercover.

I don't think Wii shooters are that bad. They are actually remarkable intuitive coz the most natural movement for aim is automatically integrated with pointing the Remote. So far, the Wii FPS's I've played aren't that taxing to get to grips with. Metroid Prime 3 did it very well and I can say that WaW does it just as well. Having acquired it for Wii on Friday, it is pretty much, as previously described,  COD4 in a WW2 scene. It's mechanics are the same and it works just as well. The online multiplayer is every bit as fun as COD4 and they've introduced a "Boot Camp" section for the first few levels so that newbies don't become walking meat sacks for those already played up to lvl 50. If anyone is getting it for Wii, let me know...would love to battle alongside ya ;)

I just got the game and it is pretty awesome.  I like the old bolt action rifles and the bayonets.  It's pretty graphic though.
