Title: SuperAntiSpyware
Post by: pokeplayer984 on February 05, 2009, 03:29:58 AM
I recently tried this program.  Yes, I know, the name looks like something we've seen before that is fake.  However, it is real, I promise you that.  In fact, here's the link so you can check it out yourself:

http://www.superantispyware.com/ (http://www.superantispyware.com/)

Spyware, Malware, Adware, Rootkits, Trojans, Worms... you got it, this thing can kill those problems.  All completely free and only taking up as much space as AVG, Avast and Malwarebytes does.

It recently helped me because it detected some Adware I have that I was totally unaware of.

It even goes one step further by asking to protect you from any threats that may pop-up on your home page.

I've even read OFFICIAL reviews on it. (Download.com and YouTube being only a few of many.) Apparently, it's gotten rid of some tough stuff out there. (Killing Anti-Virus XP anyone?)

Wow!  So small and yet so very powerful.  Just the kind of thing we need today. :)

I'll give it a try.  I don't think it will find much of anything--I'm a safe webbrowser as it is, but you never know.

Ag, yes! I'm killing AntiVirusXP!
I think I've mostly gotten rid of it, but I'll give it a shot :)

This computer was offline for the longest time, and when I brought it back on... Well, let's just say I had become complacent, haha.

I've heard of this program, but never used it. As for killing Antivirus XP (as well as Antivirus 2008), Malwarebytes does the job as well. It's nice to hear that other programs can also take care of pesky rogue antiviruses as well. The more programs that can do this, the better, in my opinion.

Sure, I'll give it a try.  As soon as I can find a suitable text machine that is.  I'm not installing this on my master or school laptop. :p

Found some minor Adware on mine... I'm pretty sure Malwarebytes stomped AntivirusXP, but it's always good to double check  :yes

Oh THAT ONE.  I just took a look at the website.  Yeah, I've used it before and I wouldn't recommend it.  It really slows down the startup time of your computer and it's quite frankly not very efficient when scanning.  Spybot and AVG work a million times better.  That's why I switched to them.

I just switch any scanning program to manual.  I'll decide when its a good time to scan.
