Thought since 1 other person and 1 admin seemed to think the thread idea was ok I'd do this. Maybe sharing some favorite openings or clips of your favorite shows, including or especially ones watched as a kid or not seen for years, nostalgic, happy memories ect. Though maybe it's a bad idea or spammy and other admin may not like it. Maybe also posting them in your preferred language for nostalgic reasons as well. I may post some others later, rather then posting 20 or 50 introductions at once.
Though some or the majority of admin may not like this thread idea, if so feel free to lock or delete it.
Scooby Doo Where Are You, original Intro from 1969 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pgcadrlp6ZA (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pgcadrlp6ZA)
i do have a vague memory of seeing this introduction, rather then the more famous other intro which I remember far better since it's the one that's been used over the years.
Season 1 of Wonder Woman (this was set in ww2 and didn't take itself to seriously, unlike seasons 2 and 3 which took themselves totally seriously): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_blOQEu9ws (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_blOQEu9ws)

2 more from the 70's that no one's heard of.
Original (1979's) Ghostbusters Intro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4-Io8xMHL4&feature=related (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4-Io8xMHL4&feature=related)
1970's Monster Squad (starring someone who went on to a more well known tv series and then politics (it has the intro, a bit of an end of episode teaser and outro, but it's better quality of the other one I found of just the opening: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuFO5QzT9fw# (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuFO5QzT9fw#)

I like a couple of older TV show like Hogans Heroes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTFkqCEYON8 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTFkqCEYON8) and M*A*S*H I also like DOGFIGHTS! and Battle360 from the History channel and Mythbusters.
-
I remember watching Hogan's Heroes & Mash. I enjoyed both of them a lot.
The clips of Mythbusters I've seen I have liked.
-
The Animaniacs is one of my favorite shows. It's from the 90's, so maybe some of you have heard of it.

I use to watch that show, and the other cartoons they had within that show, & the various characters. Very funny. I'd mainly forgotten the show & some details till I saw that opening again, thanks.
-
I remember that intro as well, the one with the shark eating away at the skis.. I've watched nearly every Scooby doo episode ever made, and thats saying something.. They'll probably come out with another series soon..

I love the Animaniacs they were so Awesome.

Yakko Wakko and Dot- "call me Dotty and you die!"
-
I'm a fan of the older Scooby Doo cartoons, but haven't kept up with the newer stuff aside from the movies.
The only nostalgic tv show I'm still interested in is Freakazoid!
Freakazoid! Intro (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uj9gherhoPw)
My nostalga-free interests are Kamen Rider, Super Senta, M*A*S*H*, Spin City, and Get Smart. (The last three are shows my parents got me into.
-
Freakzoid! Is funny, especially when he 'flies' around..
-
I remember that one, and some of the funny scenes like going to tell a monk way off that he's making to much noise, and going to apologize later. and liking to wrastle with the char's older brother. "lets wrastle." I think he'd say or something like that.
-
another one is where he and the chief are drinking cofee, and and cghief is a doofus who doesn't really know who Freakazoid really is..
-
Wasn't Norm abrum, (not sure of his last name) in an episode?
And there was one with pooh gas as they called it I think. :DD
-
One of my favorite episodes/segments was the one that featured Candle Jack. The jokes surrounding Candle Jack and his mode of kidnapping was funny. Candle Jack himself also had some pretty funny lines.
"I'm going to need more rope."
"I got to go charter a bus. Believe it, or not."
Too bad, the narrator guy spoiled the end of that episode. :lol
-
Another one is where they showed a 'credits run' like you see at the end of films, I'm not sure if Freakzoid was watching something or not, oh now I remember he was traveling to some remore sceintists headquarters..
-
Very funny show.
Wasn't there one where Brain did a cameo or something?
-
Probably.. there was another one where Freakazoid actually was stupid enough to tell a vilian his weakness..
-
Krypto the Superdog
Beethoven
Dinosaurs
Timon & Pumbaa
Cro
Denver the Last Dinosaur
My Little Pony

My favorite TV Show? I'd have to say Naruto. I haven't seen many animes, but Naruto has stuck with me for nearly 300 episodes. It's an absolutely amazing series, and I suggest anybody who's into anime and hasn't already seen it to go and start watching it.
-
The Gundam Animated Saga
Mainly Gundam 0083 G Gundam, Gundam W, and Gundam Seed/Seed Destiny
-
Lets see, I have to agree with the Naruto, although I've quit it with the fillers. I'm waiting for the anime to pick up with the manga plot again.
As for the Gundam metaseries, I've been searching for them online. I like the Gundam series, but Gundam SEED/Destiny are awesome.
D.Gray-Man, another anime I watch, was awesome. They haven't made any new episodes because the manga artist was out of commission for about 4 months, but the manga has started up again. That means that in the relatively near future, the anime will continue!
My favorite stuff, though, is Doctor Who. And MST3K.
-
Quite a selection there among the last few posters.
For Dr Who I only really like the classic series. I do like MST3k also, not seen most of the other series mentioned. Some I have and I've liked some of them.
-
Anyone else like Furturama? There's talk of new episodes coming out next year..
-
I thought it had been canceled.
-
It was ended, but its its proven very popular in re-runs and Groening has indicated he's open to doing more Futurama episodes..
-
like what I heard happened to family guy?
-
Family Guy proved to be so popular in re-runs that they brought the show back, and its still going strong..
-
On tv and the unlimited clips on youtube.
-
Yep.. and on Hulu which is kinda like youtube..
-
I've not heard of it except for it being mentioned once in an add at the start of a youtube video.
-
Well its a place where can find clips from all sorts of shows. I usually use it to watch old Saturday Night Live skits :D
-
& have to watch commercials first?
-
the commercials usually last 30 seconds, but after that you can watch the whole skit uninterupted...and you only have to endure 1 commercial per skit..
-
That isn't to bad, though I guess the commercials are the type with nearly naked folks posing, heads exploding and the typical commercial stuff they show nowadays.
-
no,, its usually car commercials or insurance commercials stuff like that..
-
I thought those had nearly naked woman posing around on the car and such like that.
-
no, usually its just advertising about how Car A gets great gas mileage and costs less than car B..
