See the title topic. I've been given instructions on other websites, but they don't seem to work. Am I doing anything wrong?

From what I understand, you cannot take screenshots with Windows Media Player, nor can you use Print Screen to do so (you will just get a black image where the video is supposed to be). However, you can use Print Screen to take screenshots of videos on websites and they should show up.
If you want a program to take screenshots with, here are some suggestions:
Windows Movie Maker
VLC Player
PowerDVD

VLC player from http://www.videolan.org (http://www.videolan.org) is the easiest way to do it.
-
There is a plugin you can use to make print screen work in WMP, but as Petrie and Darkhououmon said, it's easier to just use VLC.

To fill in, VLC. It doesn't get much easier.
(Considering the cutting and cr*p with the Printscreen option)

From what I've seen, the latest Windows Media Player doesn't allow that. The previous did, with Ctrl + I. I think it was Chomper4 who had asked that already.

What are you talking about?

I use a freeware program called media player classic for screenshots, plus it can play many media types.
