Getting nothing for an idea, I've decided to just put up all the LBT Movies that I can.
I've put up the original and two, and am now putting up the third one. At the rate I'm going, I'm guessing half a week before they are all up.
Due to the rules, I don't know if I'll be able to get them all up, but we'll see.
In the meantime, enjoy!
See ya later! :)

Good luck man! :yes
-
Are you allowed to do that?! I thought Youtube had pretty strict guidelines on placing full length feature films on their site  I.E. "not to do it!" I don't have a Youtube account personally so I might be wrong but from what I understand they've pretty much bumped off any thing like current running series episodes and feature length films coz it's technically a breach of copyright laws.
-
Well littlefoot90 already had some german/dutch movies of LBT on his youtube and nobody ever caught him on that.
Cool though :)
-
Just be aware John youtube can and may throw you off. I'm not saying it will happen (LBT 1 has been on youtube for a long time now) but you might hurt yourself in the long run since a lot of people like your music videos.
-
do you even respect the youtube copy-write laws and the fact that Amblin entertainment can sue you????

The only thing that is likely to happen on YouTube, if Universal decided to take down the movies, is..well just that. The movies will be taken down and Pokeplayer may lose his account, depending on how many are removed.
To be honest, I had mixed feelings about this idea myself, when I first found out he was uploading movies. If it was just the first movie, then perhaps I would have felt better. But uploading several movies is a huge risk.
I'm not saying it's going to happen, though. I'm just saying that one should not let their guard down and be prepared for the unexpected.

That's just the thing. They DON'T take it seriously. Not even a single LBT video should be on there, period. That's the rule Universal has. Yet, there they are.
And yet, I really don't think it's such a bad thing to put them up, especially considering LBT's condition. (The LBT office being closed and Universal not making any sales off of LBT.) Considering the way things are now, this is one of the few ways fans can enjoy them now.
Plus, the LBT fans of YouTube wanted this, so I'm happy to oblige.
Anyways, I'll be putting up the 4th later today. That's right! The one with Ali. And get this, a number of the LBT YouTube fans... DON'T EVEN KNOW HER!
-
Still, you probably should not let your guard down, because Universal could still start taking down the movies if they want to.

I really don't let my guard down on my videos really. I check them DAILY. Several times a day in fact.
Furthermore, I check to see if even the first part of the movie can be put up. If not, I remove it immediately and forget about putting the rest of it up. So far, with the first 3, that hasn't seemed to be necessary.
So yeah, I'm not letting my guard down here. Who knows when it will get removed? Only time will tell.
-
I agree. Definitely be careful with this. I tried doing this already, and for the longest time I had the first 11 movies up. But then the moment I tried to upload LBT XIII, they caught me and made me take down ALL of the movies, minus my music videos. Later because of the music copywrights, which are lame, they made me take some of the music videos i made down as well.
If all else fails, just find another video sharing website. Youtube has lost a lot of appeal from me :(
-
A lesser known site may work, at least for a time. The lesser known a site is, the longer the videos may go undetected by the copyright holders. It may mean less people see your videos, but it may be worth it if you want the videos to stay up a long time.
-
Well, the fourth is well on it's way now. However, it is taking a while for ANY part to be put up. Why? Well, there's a reason.
The truth is I figured, "Hey, if I'm going to do this, I'm going to give them the BEST quality I can offer.". I'm really not skimping out here. Nearly 10 minutes long for each part and being 160 MB on .avi codec. Yes, I know, I could compress it, and STILL get High Quality and everything, but I really don't want to. I want to give them the BEST I can. Nothing less.
So yes, the 8 parts will take a while, but it'll be worth it. :)
-
just don't get caught........
-
it would suck for the movies to be taken down........
-
I thought having something saying I dont own Land before Time or Universal owns the movie in the description will leave you be :o still new to youtube though

Here's their excuse after removing it:
"It's still copyrighted."
Getting around it is tougher with YouTube then you think.
-
The whole "it's still copyrighted" excuse is not exclusive to YouTube.
-
^^I know, but it just gets really annoying at YouTube.
I mean, you work hard at creating a video of your favorite couple on a show with some great song in the background, or even just try to put up an old show no ones seen in years, or possibly a number of things, and they remove it. Why? It's the same old excuse:
"It's copyrighted material."
And then it suddenly feels like all that hard work you put up with has gone to waste. It just... hurts.
I understand where they come from with this excuse. I get it! It belongs to someone, blah, blah, blah!
Yet, this does not make up for the hurt that I and many others have felt just because of this rule. Deep down, something just doesn't feel right about it.
Anyways, four is fully up now. Time to work on the fifth movie! Yep, the one where Chomper returns.
See ya later! :^.^:
-
Well, they won't let me put up LBT 6. So, it turned out to be a complete waste of time to split up the parts.
However, I wonder why the songs made it. I mean, I have all three up there, so I have NO idea why they're on there. However, I have a feeling they'll be gone soon now. :(
Oh well, time to do 7. :)
-
What was 6 about again? If it had a famous voice actor, it could be the reason its not allowed.
-
wow, u protected the videos well. I tried to test your claim that you protected the videos from being downloaded, and I couldn't do it. But than again, I'm not the greatest at these sort of things.
-
Dude I uploaded half of the LBT Movies made by Universal (not in order) and after 7 to 8 months of postages...GET KICKED RIGHT OFF!!!
But I strike back with my SpikethePorcupine23 account this time no more movie uploads for me since people are having a hard time after getting their fan Music Videos removed.
But my trick is this: I am and I will continue making LBT Music Videos, without using any WMG Music.
<_< Right Now I need a New Laptop.
Back to the topic... :( Just try now to make the movies to obvious to be seen by Universal Viewers.
-

Let's see, will this do?
Dana and Dinah appearing.
Doc appearing.
Bad luck descending upon the Valley.
Oh, and sharpteeth getting buried alive.
Okay, from those being the most memorable parts, now do you remember what it's about?
Anyways, I got the seventh one up and the eighth one is being put up as we speak.
Currently working on the 9th, but I KNOW I'll have problems with the end credits of that one, so I've made an alteration ready for it. :D
-
Also, the guy who played Whistler in the Blade movies voiced Doc, and I guess since the guy who voiced King Tritan from The Little Mermaid voices Grandpa Longneck I guess they count as two famous actors
-
This is just ridiculous. They're just going to make you take 'em all down. They're not going to allow you to keep them on there. But don't get any ideas. I will NOT allow full LBT movies to be uploaded to my server (regardless of quality). I don't care what Universal is doing. They still have the right to make sure their work isn't distributed for free.
-
I had a feeling you would say that, but don't worry, I wasn't planning to put them up on your server anyways. :)
Well, LBT 9 is officially being put up as we speak. Next is the one I hope will be accepted, but I doubt will be... LBT 10.
Wish me luck here. :D
Oh, and the real treat will come AFTER I'm done putting up all the movies I can. It will be a special treat for ALL LBT fans. :D
-
Gl on land before time 10. :)
-
*sighs* I should have known I wouldn't be able to put it up. :(
So, forget 10, on to 11. :)
-
So, 11 couldn't go up but 12 could, and now 13 is being put up as we speak.
Along with advertising the new blog, it's been busy for me. I'll enjoy a good rest after this. :)
-
So, 11 couldn't go up
Oh that Suck. But at least you tried.
-
I must ask did you get the movies off a DVD? I have watched LBT Movie 12 off your Youtube Channel, and I just noticing a little differences in the Key tone of the Background Music. How do I know this...I have LBT 12 of my own and I remember most of the key tones from the Songs and Background Music in it.
I'm Sorry I just can't help but observe these kind of things :smile

It is from the DVD itself. I'm not sure where the problem is on it. Maybe I'll solve it one day. :)
-
I'm not sure where the problem is on it.
There's no problem its just that the DVD Movies sound so much different from the VHS and TV Boardcast.
-
Okay, there has been a little problem that has happened now. Someone on YouTube pointed out that the audio was off for my upload videos of LBT 5: The Mysterious Island. I did some research and found the original file that I made the video from was off on the audio. As such, this messed up the whole movie.
So, with that in mind, I have to remove the ones from YouTube and redo it all from scratch. This is going to take quite some work.
Anyways, might as well get to work on it.
See ya later! :^.^:
-
Wait you're putting up LBT movies
Can you put up the 10th one? Everybody on Youtube really wants the 10th one up and so do I :D
-

Like I've discussed, YouTube isn't allowing it.
I am working on trying to change the audio just right and seeing if that works, but I can't guarantee if it'll work.
However, I do have another plan in mind. Let's just say YouTube won't be able to stop it. ;)

Lets all hope it works.
-
Great! Just great! YouTube has removed the first part of Land Before Time 8: The Big Freeze. No one's going to watch it without Part One. :(
Ugh! If what I'm about to do doesn't work, I'll have to remove it all. -_-
-
Why only part one.. haha
Can't you use one of your famous tricks to get it uploaded again?
-

I usually don't want to resort to them. After all, some of the fans of YouTube want it to be as in tact as possible. So no sound or video change. I just need to hope for the best.
However, a part of me wants to give up YouTube. I'm sick and tired of dealing with the removing of my videos. I've got an idea, but I'll wait until later to do so. For now, let's just get this over with.
See ya later! :)
-
Well, it's back up! :) All I did was increase the quality. It is now over 750 MB in size. I can get it over 1 GB, but with the limit, I had to make a sacrifice. :D
-

Just remember that if the original file was an AVI, increasing its size to 1gb or even 100gb won't increase the quality. It can only be as good as its original quality. If they're DVD rips, 700mb is the largest you can make them and the best quality they'll ever be in.
-
Well, YouTube has hit me yet again. Not only have they removed LBT 3, but they have blocked all reuploads of the content. So yeah, it's gone. Dang! And that was one of the better sequels.
It's sad to see it go, but it's gone now.
So yeah, just wanted to inform you all of this.
Good-bye LBT 3. We'll miss ya. :(
-
To be honest, I'm not at all surprised about this.
