Anyone think what the second movie of it should be like? I have one suggestion, Olivia and Fidget are partners.
-
Anything wrong?
-
Fidget died at the end of the first film, so he can't be in the second film. Oilivia is a little kid too so that wouldn't work.
-
I only saw the movie once a long time ago so I can say little on it (other that from what I remember it sounds very unlikely that they would get together). It seems however, that others have had that idea you are suggesting before. At least according to the Wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Great_Mouse_Detective) on it there seems to have been a comic with the idea already.
-
I never read that comic, so I'll have to take it with a grain of salt. I liked the film, not one of the best Disney films ever, by a long shot, but it was a decent film..
-
Meaning it does work.
-
well, i'm sure whether that comic is official canon, in other words whether it is accepted part of the story.
-
I've only seen the trailer but it did look like an interesting movie.
-
well, if you ever get the chance Kor, you should see it..
-
Was it a new trailer?
-
no, it was back when it originally was released in theathers..
-
What do you think the plot of the second movie(if possible) will be?
-
I doubt there will be a second movie, Chomper. its been 23 years since the first story and while there were several stories about basil (i've read a few of them) i dont see them making another film about him.
-
It doesn't have to be about him.
-
if theres a sequel then he has to be in it..
-
I'm watching it on youtube right now. :)
I never read Sherlock Holmes or any of that, but I did like it. It had a certain charm and it was just different then other disney films. I don't own it, nor do I ever plan to, but it's one of those movies where I'll go, "Hey, I feel like watching this one."
My favorite characters were Dawson, Basil, and Olivia. Dawson was that "jolly good fellow". Basil was that quirky, eccentric, yet kind detective. And Olivia was a spirited, sweet girl.
I really like the interaction between these characters. :) And the movie is different because it seems as though no one in this movie is paired up with ANYONE. And that's rare in Disney and other movies. It's like, the plot can be deep without anyone pairing up anyone.
Unless you count Miss Kitty the showgirl mouse paired up with Dawson, okay...but I'm talking about actual romantic relationships people see in films that last for more then five seconds. xD
Okay, so those are my thoughts about it.

Holmes was a bachelor, and while in the books Watson did have a wife she isn't mentioned much at all.. Basil doesn't show much interest in women..
-
^ It's probably because to him there are more important things in life then finding a girlfriend. :p He's doing what he loves anyway, being a detective. Besides I think if he ever found someone, she would probably have to be as quirky as he is and accepting of his love for his detective work and all those other things. :p
*brain storms an idea for a fanfiction* :idea

There was only 1 woman that Holmes had in a high opinion. Some say Watson may have had 2 wives since I think he moved back in with Holmes at some point to share rooms with him. Though one could say there were other reasons, including maybe all the stories were not told in order that they came out in the strand magazine.

That was Irene Adler..she was one of the few people who ever outwitted Holmes
