In case you don't know what a Big Lipped Alligator Moment is, this video explains it pretty well.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJRBPlnBg24 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJRBPlnBg24)
It is basically a completely pointless scene that randomly popps up out of nowhere, has nothing to do with the plot, is completely pointless, and is never mentioned again once the scene is over.
The video above gives several great examples including:
The singing alligator from All Dogs Go to Heaven (for which Big Lipped Alligator Monents are names)
The creepy tunnel scene from Willy Wonka
The pink elephants from Dumbo
Other examples include:
The horrible rapping dog from that crappy Animated Titanic Musicle (Then again that entire movie was a Big Lipped Alligator Moment)
The scene in Spider-Man 3 where Emo Peter Parker is dancing down the street
(It meets all the qualifications: Over the top, completely random, adds nothing to the plot, and most importantly, is never mentioned again)
The scene in Return of the Jedi where the freaky dancers are dancing and singing at Jabba the Hutt's palace.
-
That one scene in Ferngully where that lizard like creature stars randomly singing.
-
There was also one in Rock A Doodle (very crappy movie).
The Batman and Robin movie had a few also.

:p I remember that. :lol
"If I'm gonna eat somebody, it might as well be you"...right! :p (or something like that..it's been awhile! :p)
The creepy tunnel scene from Willy Wonka
That messes with my head, even to this day. :p
(I'm thinking of the classic Willy Wonka film, not the newer one. I've never seen the new one.)
A lot of TV comedy shows seem to do this now, such as Family Guy and the random clips that come up in a lot of episodes that make absolutely no sense. :p
If we're talking about movies though, hmmm...
I guess I haven't watched enough movies lately. :p

The new one is full of Big Lipped Aligator Moments.
-
Toon town from who framed rodger rabbit.
-
the seen in jurassic park where nedry steals the embryos if you look you will see several dino names that did not appear in the first movie

I don't think that counts. Read the requirements.

Hehe, there's one memory I have of that movie that I find quite funny. It was, in my easily amused opinion, a funny punchline.:
*The villians are getting ready to feast on their hostages.*
Boss: "Uh, pass the pork."
*Minion passes pig to boss, receives chick in return :lol*
As for big-lipped moments, "The Lion King 1 1/2" was full of them .
-
Any scene withthe three gargoyles in The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
-
The Fire Gang in Labyrinth...although, for some reason, I thought that was interesting.
"Hey! Why won't your head come off?!"
(A lot listed, like Toon World, did have a bit of a point...the intro with the off-key singing might count though. The gargoyles don't count either. They weren't...blip in blip out once and NEVER mentioned again.)

My personal favorite B.L.A.M. is the one where this phrase got it's name from.
-
Ha, ha, ha, BLAM. You gotta love them.
Well, aside from the one's everyone mentioned, there are actually some BLAMs from video games.
In Sam & Max Season 1, the War Song. Pretty random.
Plus, most of the scenes from Felix the Cat: The Movie. I can't even describe all of them. XD
-
Here's one:
Neo and Trinity's "intimate" scene during the Xion Rave in Matrix Reloaded.
-
This page (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main.BigLippedAlligatorMoment) has a great many examples. Tv Tropes is the perfect website for stuff like this.
I can't think of any for LBT. Maybe our favorite franchise was saved from this trope, but again I've blanked LBT 13 from memory. :rolleyes
-
Land Before Time 13 had a B.L.A.M, it was Littlefoot dreaming about the Yellowbellies at the old tree, and they're having some trouble apparantly the stupidest bit is when two of them actually jump off the tree trunk, its the only Big Lipped Alligator Moment to appear in an LBT movie, let alone one that was so bad it was good, but for those who could actaully watch the film up to that point know that the scene came right out of nowhere and isn't mentioned again.
-
I find it ironic that despite the definition of a BLAM, the movie that named this meme (All Dogs go to Heaven) broke the definition the Nostagia Chick gave:
The big-lipped alligator did return later in the plot, and his liking of Charlie's voice had him show up for the final battle and help the good guys out. So, even though it did come right out of nowhere, it did have some relevance on the plot.
-
So it wasn't a non relevant scene but was important later. Interesting. I see I've forgotten a lot about the movie. Been to long since I have seen it I guess.
-
The Star Wars Holiday Special, which the Nostalgia Critic reviewed, was absolutely full of them.
-
I didn't know he had reviewed that. I recall watching that in the 70's, I think it was, and more recently watched it on youtube year or 2 back.
