Rick Astley actually did the move at a Thanksgiving Parade because of this internet phenominia. :p  It's pretty annoying sometimes though to get Rick-Rolled.

Pretty much the whole idea is nobody likes him or the song "Never Gonna Give" or whatever it's called. So to make an annoyance out of him, people post videos on Youtube with highliy anticipated titles like "Harry Potter 7 Trailer" or stuff like that. People click on the video and then they find out it's just this guy singing the same song.

It's a stupid prank to get views, because a lot of these videos with "Rick Rolls" have thousands of viewers. It's very stupid.

To be honest, I didn't understand what that was about. Clicking a link just to have "Never Gonna Give You Up" play. Never fully got what the point of that was. I didn't realise it was actually an online prank...I just don't get online humour  :p  :lol
