Title: Chile's independence day!

Hello:
Today we celebrate 199 years of independent life... well, 199 years that we decided to rule by ourselves to be more exact. So today is a great day for all of us chileans, so we celebrate, eat lots and have wild parties :smile . And then to wait for tomorrow's exhibition of the military forces in a great parade, and then to wait for next year, in which we'll reach our aniversary number 200  :DD

Over here our national holiday would be October 3rd, but it does not compare to the national holiday of any other country I'm afraid. They even considered relocating our "national holiday" to the first sunday in October to make sure that no working day was lost because of it :rolleyes

Congrats! I was born too late for America's 1976 Bicentennial... but you are luckier than I am, at least, will be next year.  :lol
