This is from a deleted, alternate ending to the film where Chomper's parents gave in to their ravenous instincts after all...

What you are witnessing here folks is an unnatural adoption about to take place where the predators are actually nice enough to give these unfortunate souls a place to stay after being disowned by their own parents shortly after the Gang left them once again to face the cruel world all by themselves. Of course, this was only a natural decision on their part considering all the trouble their folks have to go through every time the kids decide to venture out into the wilderness alone.
