Not sure about ratings.  I've not seen the 3rd one, but I did like the 1st one better then the 2nd one.  The cat was funny for a bit, but to me got annoying towards the end.

I loved the third most!

Now I can't wait for Shrek 4 and Puss in Boots!

The first Shrek was comedy gold. The second one was okay. The third was more painful than bleeding hemorrhoids.
I am not looking forward to the fourth Shrek and I am not looking forward Puss in Boots, because the latter was only just serviceable as a supporting character because Antonio Whathissurname has the personality of a Post-It Note.
