Title: Most interesting thing learned from a commentary?
Post by: brekclub85 on December 23, 2009, 12:38:38 AM
I'm always interested in listening to a commentary from a show/movie's staff if the DVD contains a commentary, since I find out interesting things about the final product.

Like the topic title says, what's the most neat thing you found out thanks to a DVD commentary?

One thing I found out from my Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter DVD was that Jason's original death in the first draft of the script was much more elaborate, with the main 12-year old character Tommy used a gadget he invented (Some kind of converted microwave which was used as a sort of laser gun that could melt plastic figures on it's lowest setting) by jamming it into Jason's head, setting it to the full power setting, and either melting or blowing up Jason's head from the inside out (Which would've been awesome to see, but the producers ruled it "too sci-fi.")

What about you guys?
