Now, I'm not sure what icon you guys see in the quote box, but it's supposed to be a quotation mark. Recently, my computer has started seeing them as a white question mark surrounded by a black diamond whenever I or somebody else pastes text from a word processing document. Even stories that used to render perfectly, like my Darwin's Soldiers stories, have filled with black-diamond question marks that make things ridiculously hard to read.

Is there a way to fix this?

I see it as a quotation mark.

As for what's wrong, I dunno. Maybe a keyboard issue?

My computer has this problem with some webpages. I believe the error is code-based.

I see a quotation mark.

Try switching the character encoding until the problem vanishes.

Also, your latest update to Pavlov's Checkmate gave me this weird symbol:

Ôø?

Definitely a character encoding issue.  Does it happen in Notepad and other applications too, or just online?

Just online. and then only in text that was pasted into a web browser from a word processing document.

See if you can change the encoding in your browser.

I use ISO-8859-1 (Western) in Firefox.

For me it shows up as a quotation mark, no idea what to do about it though.

Turns up fine for me, have you recently changed any settings?
