You know, I love horror movies. I really do. I have seen all kinds of horror. Psychological horror, sci-fi horror, slasher films, you name it I seen it. And yet most of these have not had much of an affect on me as one The Human Centipede has. When I first saw the trailer for this film, I thought "There's no way this thing is real. It's gotta be fake." But then I googled the name of the movie and to my surprise, IT WAS A REAL FILM! It was then that I was officially freaked out. I'm surprised I didn't have nightmares afterward.
This movie...no, this THING is so disgusting. There are lines in film that are not meant to be crossed. This movie didn't cross those lines, oh no no no. It ran over the lines, shot them in the head, tore out their intestines and then played jump rope with the intestines. THAT'S what this film did. The idea is that these two girls are on a trip in Germany, their tire gets a flat(Y'know like any horror film out there) so they find this house owned by this crazy surgeon who has also kidnapped a Japanese guy for his crazy (and really screwed up) experiment. So how he does he turn them into a centipede? He STITCHES them ass to mouth. Honestly I wish I was joking. You have no idea how much I wish I was joking.
Apparently the director consulted a real life surgeon(who ironically plays the psycho doctor in this) to see if it was possible to make a human centipede and apparently it is! Maybe that's why I feel so sick thinking about this movie. Either way the director is a sick **** and needs serious help. Especially for asking a real surgeon "Hey, is it possible to make a human centipede?" I just want to know who would enjoy this? I can't see anyone paying to see something like this in the theatre.
If you guys want to see the trailer, then type in human centipede on Youtube. I just...I just can't bring myself to watch even a second of this trailer again. I need to play some Grand Theft Auto to forget about this.

Many horror movies are disgusting in general, in my opinion. The Human Centipede isn't much different.

Pornos are disgusting too and yet look at peoples' reactions to 2 Girls 1 Cup.
That's all I see this movie becoming is horror's answer to 2 Girls. And you know, horror films don't always have to be extreme gross outs. Ever see Psycho? It didn't rely on grossing the audience out. It relied on a creepy soundtrack, an unsettling environment, and a genuinely disturbing titular character. And on top of that, it didn't even have immense amounts of blood. I only remember there being one scene with blood and there wasn't even a lot of it.
Psycho is a million times the horror film this will ever be. At least Psycho didn't have a crap consuming scene(Yes, this movie DOES have such a scene, which is why I referenced 2 Girls).

I never saw Psycho but I heard of it. I think it's one of the highest rated horror movies of all time; could be wrong. I know not all horror stuff is disgusting; I was mainly referring to the ones that use excessive amounts of gore, and I'm mostly focusing on the movies there. I tend to have higher tolerance of horror stuff in video games and animation than I do in live action movies, probably because it looks less real.

This is why I only watch horror films from the 1930s-early 1990s. I think the last good horror film in my view was The Blair Witch Project

I miss the days when horror was actually about scaring the audience, not making them want to throw up. I can't stand movies like Human Centipede. I want to be scared, not disgusted. I don't want to see people being tortured or having their lips sewn to each other's asses.
I wasn't too keen on Blair Witch. But at least that had an interesting concept and didn't rely on excessive amounts of blood.
@DarkHououmon, if you want a good animated horror, I suggest checking out Paranoia Agent. That was an incredible anime!

This is why I've officially given up on horror a long, long time ago, along with American comedy. Horror films don't make me scared, they make me sickthese days, and comedy films have a similar effect on me most of the time.

You know what I think is sad is people are treating this movie as if it's some incredible work of art. Yet these are the same people that bash Saw and Hostel for being torture porn. Which is exactly what this film is! This isn't an art flick, it's not some Oscar winner, it's TORTURE PORN!
I'm sorry if I sound like some crazy old guy but this movie bothers me to my core. Everything about it just looks and sounds so...wrong... Maybe if it was intended to be a comedy then sure, no biggie but still...just no...

I really like sick horror and splatter movies, especially these amateur productions from Japan, like "Guinea Pig" (the first movie is banned in Germany).

I've never had any nightmares after watching such movies, because I know it's just a movie, with fake blood, fake body parts etc.
But I'll never watch so-called "Snuff Movies", where persons are REALLY killed in front of the camera. Is "The Human Centipede" such a snuff movie where people are killed?

Well, Waluigifan, the Japanese guy commits suicide(I think he slit his throat with some glass), one of the girls dies from blood poison, two cops bust in to Dr. Psycho's house, Dr. Psycho kills one of the cops then the other cop shoots Psycho but gets shot himself. Thus the only survivior is the girl who's in the middle of the centipede. Yeah. Isn't that a wonderful ending?

No. Such "snuff movies" have never been proven to exist. Usually they are just incidental video recordings of deaths or what not.

I just watched the trailer to this, and while I did not actually hurl up my Chex Mix, this is one "movie" I will definitely pass up, thanks.
You're freakin' kidding me, right? Has humanity really run out of film ideas so badly that it has to resort to trash like this :crazy? I think my faith in humanity has been knocked down a couple of notches :rolleyes.

It's not that we have run out of ideas, but that Hollywood tends to hire some guy off the street for the writer, rather than looking for talent!
Do you know what I watch when I'm in the mood for horror? Stephen King Films! That guy is a true artist in horror. :)

Oh, yeah! Stephen King is indeed a master of horror :yes. I have a lot of admiration for him :wow. Anybody who is lucky enough to have him as an instructor is lucky alright.

Somehow this trailer makes me less terrified of Human Centipede and yet it also makes me more terrified. I think if I ever watch this movie, I'll just have that song playing on my computer.
