The latest rip off from the asylum http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pcd8f4nr9HY (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pcd8f4nr9HY)
Where do I start with this? :anger :anger :bang :bang

Yeah, I found this on the site. I was thinking saying, "What is the point of a sequel?! All the characters from the first are dead, even the survivors, who all died!"
Why would they bothering do a sequel, we already know its going to most likely end the same way as the first. All I know is, I won't watch it. Its probaly the same as the first, beginning, middle, plot points, deaths and the ending.

the whole plot with a tsunami causing the iceburg to hit the ship is a little far fetched. It's not really a sequal to the James Cameron one it's a mockbuster of it.

Then what's with the II in it? Why not just call it Titantic?
-
It has to due with the fact the ship itself is the second TITANIC. Kind of Like the Queen Mary II.

I don't why they did it. Perhaps they called it that to cause confusion? The James Cameron one is being re-released in 2012.

I knew this was coming sooner or later by the way.

From what I understand, the Asylum movies are not necessarily rip offs; they are mockbusters. They are made simply to cash in on the success of another movie. I've read some of the plots, such as Transmorphers, and they are distinguishable from the major release that they are based on.
From what I read, Titanic II is indeed not a sequel of James Cameron's Titanic. The name Titanic II is actually the name of the boat, SS Titanic II. I could be wrong but from what I read that's what the title is referring to.
Edit: Yep Titanic II is the name of the boat. The movie takes place in April 2012, 100 years after the Titanic disaster.

Don't they use the Queen Mary as a model for the Titanic? Great idea, using a ship with THREE funnels to pretend to be one with FOUR. Plus it looks nothing like the original ship.
(I'm a fan of Titanic (the ship itself, not the movie) and something like this I see as just ridiculous).
-
The boat in the Titanic II film is not supposed to be the original Titanic, however. It's a different boat.
-
I'm looking forward to this trash movie...eh... I meant, "mockbuster".
I've already seen 2 mockbusters, the first one is called "I Am Omega" ("I Am Legend") and the other one "Monster" ("Cloverfield"). I am going to watch "Princess Of Mars" ("Avatar").
As far as I can say, not all movies of Asylum are bad. I've watched "I Am Omega" and was completely satisfied with this film (maybe because I've never watched "I Am Legend").
But "Monster" is one of the worst films I've ever seen. Oh my god... I've wasted Ä10 for that piece of crap!!
I'll probably only download "Titanic II"...

No, I knew it's meant to be different, but with a legacy like the Titanic's, it seemed unlikely that you would name another ship that unless it was a reconstruction of the original.

Rules of the Sea #1 - Don't name your ship "Titanic" :p :rolleyes

Don't forget Poseidon either.

I think I like this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vD4OnHCRd_4) better. I mean, the other one looks completely retarded.

Okay, THAT I wish was real. I want THAT one over the one coming out.
-
It actually doesn't look that bad.. The Tsunami part with the ice berg kinda struck me. but it doesn't seem like it's that bad..
It's either this one or that cartoon version. :|

I agree as well. Titanic II looks laughable at best.
-
fail

I would rather watch Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus than this.
-
It's on youtube and I'm watching it. So far here are my feelings to the movie :bang :bang :anger :anger :slap :slap it's obvious where computer animation was used, and in the movie the ship is owned by some company I don't know the name of it and I don't really care.
-
On the flipside I'd love to see Film Brain tear this one a new one.
-
Well i've seen posts requesting that he review this in the comments box of his review of Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus.

Because Asylum likes to ride the coattails of far superior, much more successful movies. Think about it: Titanic (was) the highest grossing movie of all time. If they claimed to have done a sequel to it, many people would blindly rent it, thinking it to be an actual sequel. It's actually kind of ingenious, albeit dishonest but when has dishonesty ever stopped them before?
