Well, the next entry in the Castlevania series,Castlevania:Lords Of Shadow, comes out tomorrow on the PS3 and Xbox 360. As a huge fan of the CV series, I can't wait, here's the most recent trailers:

I played the demo from the PSN. I've never really been heavily into the Castlevania series (my only other experience was Bloodlines for the Megadrive back in the 90s). As for the demo, it played pretty well. In similar vein to God of War in terms of combat mechanics which felt easy to get to grips with. Fighting is stylish and the visuals (even for a demo) look pretty impressive. It's not as close a clone to GoW as say Dante's Inferno but you can see the similarities in the way it plays. I guess that's why I clicked with it so well despite not really knowing much about the Castlevania timeline. Dunno if I'd leap at this as soon as it comes out but might be worth a look at least.
