well if Lbt ever came back with completely different characters would you still watch it?
I think i'd watch it just for the fact it's LBT and try to get used to the new gang.
-
Do you mean like it happening twenty or thirty years later only with Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Ruby, Petrie, Spike and Chomper's kids? Sound's like a good idea for a remake. To bad it wouldn't happen.
-
I wouldn't watch it. Simply for the fact that the Gang have been with me my whole life. They've been part of my life ever since I was a baby. It just wouldn't be the same.

I think that they would still be in it, that is if I read Jason's (nintendoofah64) post right. I am a quick reader sometimes.
-
If it was relaunched with different characters then it wouldn't be LBT. And no I wouldn't watch it.
-
So you mean kinda like Land Before Time:The Next Generation? I'd watch it. Loads of shows have redone the premise with a host of new characters, Star Trek most notably. It could work.
-
It could work... but personally I'd have to see how they'd pull off the pilot episode first.
-
I don't know...I mean, growing up as a kid, I alway's LOVED the gang and watched their adventures over and over again. I justdon't know how it would work with new characters...but I would give it a shot.
-
My answer is Yes. As I said before, there's no such thing as "Too much LBT". If the world is going to be the same, why not?
-
I would watch it of course :yes Whether I like it or not... who knows ;)
-
I don't think I'd watch it. You see, unlike Star Trek, what makes LBT actually LBT is the characters, not the universe (or in other words environment or setting). That's true with most children's shows. The focus is always the characters rather than the setting or story (at least with GOOD children's shows).
-
Probably? I mean, if they (the studio) would make a high quality movie but with different characters in the same setting I would definitely watch it, but if it were not, then no.

While LBT has put most of the focus on the characters I thought the setting was a main part of it too. At least with the original, but in most of the sequels as well.
-
I'd give it a shot I mean why not it's still Land Before Time just with different characters I mean the new characters won't be the same but it will be a whole new Land Before Time with a new twist. So I'd give any new show a one episode test. If I liked it I will watch episode two.
-
I'd wait to see what others say about it. If it got mainly good reviews and reactions I'd give it a try. I may give it a try anyway to see what I'd think about it. I wonder if they would do different species or a mix of some of the same species and some different ones.
-
I'd probably watch it, but I think there is just NO WAY they could even attempt it. The LBT characters were made in a different era, and originally based off a movie. An old movie now, let's face it. It was just so innocent and different back then. If they tried doing characters now, they'd focus way too much on what's 'supposed' to make a good character, and have it cater even more to young children, and give them no personalities
-
I would watch something like "Land Before Time: The Next Generation", which still had the Gang of Five, but starred their children.
-
Yeah I'd watch that as well. That sounds like a interesting idea of a show. I'd check out once. And that is true with today's kids they'd do just that. But maybe someday they could make a new series to the old show but doubt it.
-
I would probably watch it. Whether I liked it or not would remain to be seen. And if I did like it, I still wouldn't consider it LBT, just a spin-off, as it doesn't have the same characters. Still, I love anthropomorphic dinosaurs, so it shouldn't be too big a problem. :lol
-
Who knows if they ever did do this the new characters could have some very good personalities. And maybe they would be a bit better the the original characters.
-
It provokes a lot of though doesn't it. Now, if it were to be relaunched with different characters, or they were to make a new LBT film at all, I would still watch it - you really should bash anything unless you've tried it.
The idea of a next generation with the children of the current characters is a nice idea actually...
Now, if they do make anything new or any re-releases, PLEASE DON'T MAKE EVERYTHING 3D CGI!!! :bang
