I wonder how the movies are compared to the bbc versions.  Though the bbc version of the 2nd book was very short.  Not sure but it seems when most series are adapted to film or tv many do a very short version of the 2nd book.

I wonder if the new movie versions will get to where the bbc version stopped.  They got to the Silver Chair.

So they may do a horse and his boy, or will it be another one.  A horse and his boy happens, from what I recall from reading it back in the early 80's, during the reign of the 4 kids from the first book, actually during the latter part of the 1st book, but before they chase after the white stag or whatever it was they were chasing.  Must have been shocking for them to be older teens or adults then, poof you're back to your old age again.

One bit of narnia history that is pretty unknown is the 900 years that happens from the end of The Magician's Nephew and the white witch returning in the year 900 I think it was, when she returned.  Between the first & 2nd book some main events are known.

Actually saw the trailer during HP: Deathly Hallows....not sure if I'll be seeing it, might buy it on DVD instead however in regards to them making movies, I thought they were planning on making all the films whilst the main cast: Lucy, Edmund, Eustace are still young (not adults)?  If that is the case then the possible next movie will be The Silver Chair, due to the actor playing Eustace (and of course the actress playing Jill).  Then, possibly the next movie would be ''The Last Battle'' due to the Eustace and Jill actor ages.  Hopefully then they'll make ''The Magician's Nephew'' at least but it all depends on the public and the gross rates..

They may do that.  Though that would leave out A Horse & His Boy.  As I recall (not having read it since the early 80's I think it was) it takes place during the very end of The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe, before the kids return to their own world and while they are adults.  I don't recall how much they are in the book but the kid actors couldn't play their parts unless they waited till the actors were the right ages, or hired new actors.

The cast's ages wouldn't actually be much of an issue if they decide to produce the film.  The book is set near the end of the reign of the four kings and queens, so they could always use the actors and actresses who portrayed them for the single scene of the first movie.  The rest of the characters, except for Aslan, only appear in this book.
