(Here we go guys, and though we haven't added all the characters yet, we can take more roles as we go on.)
It was another beautiful morning in China as the sun was rising in the sky. The Miao family, the royal pet cats of the Village's Magistrate were sleeping.
Sheefwa, the youngest kitten was the first to awaken. "Hey guys..." she started to say to her siblings, when she saw they were still dozing.
-
Baba awoke, slowly starting to stretch as he awoke, in a more typical cat manner. He was still not fully wake yet but was pretty awoke by the time his stretching was over. Once this was done he went over to get a look out of the nearest window to get a view of the outside.
-
Sagwa felt the soft rising and falling of her siblings' chests in a steady rythem. She got up, and arched her back, and yawned vigerously, then got into an upright position and meowed. "Morning guys," she greeted cheerfully, but when she saw they were still asleep, she gave a playful roll of her eyes.
-
Sheegwa hadn't had the chance to fall back asleep when she heard her sister's voice.
"Morning Sagwa," the youngest kitten smiled, climbing out of her bed. She stretched a bit and yawned, still tired, but eager to start the day.
-
"Morning, Sheegwa, say, is Dongwa up yet?" she asked.
-
"Let me check," Sheegwa replied, gently tapping Dongwa with her front paws.
"Nope," she shook her head.
-
"Well, the sun's already up," she styated looking up at the bright yellow circle. "He sould be up and about now. Dongwa! Wake up!" she said to her dozing brother.
-
The Magistrate strode through the room, holding a warm cup of tea in his hands "Morning my pretties " he yawned as he looked out the window at the slowly rising sun " It appears it will be a marvelous day" He said more to himself than to the cats, but the cats heard him as well. " Let us just hope things don't conspire against me. Taio Tai has not been happy with me as of late.
Dongwa slowly stretched and shook his ears he felt no warmth beside him , that meant his siblings were already.
-
"Ah, Dongwa, you're up!" Sheegwa smiled, seeing her brother make motions.
She jumped up and patted him on the head to speed up the waking process.
Outside the village, in a cave up in the mountains, a bat awoke.
"No rain, great," Fu-Fu grinned to himself.
-
"You're finally up! Great, now we can go have some fun," Sagwa smiled to her brother and sister.
-
Baba meowed a quiet greeting to the Magistrate, really saying good morning, but to humans it would likely sound like a meow. He wondered how much writing they'd be wanted to do today, and what sorts of wonders and things he would see today, and the sorts of adventures Sagwa and the others may get themselves into.
-
Mama slowly woke up stretching her limbs while doing so. Giving out a yawn, but known to many humans as a simple 'meow'. Opening her eyes, she looked around to see everyone else had already awoken. Giving off a radiant smile, today was going to be wonderful indeed...
(Eep! My post is so short! DX)
-
"Morning mama, morning baba," Sheegwa smiled cutely. Like all her family and other cats in general, her words we heard as mews.
Though, her family could perfectly understand the humans. Sheegwa never quite understood how that worked.
-
"Oh! Good morning Mama, good morning Baba," Sagwa greeted cheerfully and flashed a warm smile at her mother and father.
-
Baba turned to smile at those who were awake, "Good morning. The weather outside seems to show it may be a beautiful day today." He said as he walked over to where they were. "how do the rest of you feel? Ready to go for breakfast?" He asked them.
-
Fu-fu flew out of the cave in the mountains and got a good look at the ground below, the village and valley being quite a spectacular sight.
"I love the feeling of the sir in the morning," he grinned.
~~~~~~~~~~
"I am Baba," Sheegwa nodded.
-
"I am too, Baba," Sagwa agreed.
-
"Shall we all go to see if the cook has anything ready for us?" Baba said looking briefly in the direction of the kitchen and giving a quick sniff to see if there was any cooking going on.
-
"Okay, how about you, Sheegwa? Wanna go in the kitchen?" Sagwa asked her sister.
-
"Sure Sagwa," Sheegwa smiled.
"What about you Dongwa?"
-
"Come on, Dongwa, wake up or you'll miss breakfest," Sagwa warned her brother, who was still dozing lazily.
-
"Come on Dongwa," Sheegwa tried to coax.
-
Dongwa stirred after being prodded. ' fine fine i',m up..' Stretching and heading out of the room. " whats for breakfast?' He asked his siblings
-
"Finally, we don't know yet, Dongwa, Baba was just taking us to the kitchen to see if they're cooking anything," Sagwa replied.
-
"ah, finally awake. Better late then never as some say." Baba said smiling. "Are you ready for some breakfast?" He asked Dongwa.
-
Sheegwa thought of all the food that could potentially be for breakfast.
~~~~~~~~~
Fu Fu flew from the mountain caves all the way down into the village.
"Sagwa's still at the palace," he realized.
-
Well I was trying to get a good sleep, but you guys kept poking me " dongwa said.. " The Magistrate should be in soon with our food..."
-
"So what, you were already late so we thought we'd do you a favor," Sagwa said. "Where is the Magistrate anyways?" She looked around for the ruler.
-
"Perhaps he was detained for some reason or other." Baba said, not sure of the reason but he could think of many reasons. He looked around to see if he could see any sign of him.
-
the magisrate was currently reading some of the rules he was going to pass and enforce today ' everyday a new law... why don't my people use common sense?
-
"Race you to the kitchen," Sheegwa grinned to her siblings, getting a head start.
-
"Hey! No fair, Sheegwa!" Sagwa laughed and raced after her sister.
-
Yeah , you're supposed to play Faoiir Dongwa said as he ran after his younger Siblings "There had better be food left for me..
-
"Don't worry Dongwa, we'll give you what's left!" Sheegwa called.
-
You said that yestrerday.. and I barely got anything " dongwa retorted as he sped up " So forgive me little sis if I can't exactly take what you say at face value..
-
"So what? You still got some," Sagwa said to her brother, picking up the pace to keep up with her brother and sister.
-
Baba laughed quietly briefly to himself, partially at the actions of the 3 and his memories of when he was younger and did much the same.
He walked to the kitchen at his usual normal pace, seeing no reason to run or hurry along.
-
"Hey, we'll leave some food for you this time, right Sheegwa?" Sagwa gave her sister an inviting yet dangerous look.
-
"We will," Sheegwa nodded.
"see you at the kitchen brother!"
-
"I do wonder what cook will have today." Baba wondered aloud as he walked along to the kitchen. "Hopefully it'll be another nice day." he said.
-
"Yeah, see ya, Dongwa!" Sagwa laughed, speeding up.
-
Fu-Fu flew his way across the village, towards the palace.
Sheegwa did her best to keep her lead.
-
When Sagwa saw her younger sister speeding up, she narrowed her eyes competitively and raced forward to keep up, leaving Dongwa behind in the dust of the palace halls.
-
Baba smiled as he saw the actions of his children as he walked on his way to the kitchen, not in any hurry.
-
Come on guys, wqait up!" Dongwa complained as he tried to catchup to them
-
Sheegwa, deciding to give her older brother a fighting chance, slowed down some, but not enough to lose her lead.
~~~~~~
As Fu-fu flew through (try saying that 5 times fast! :DD ) the village, he noticed some cats in the alleys. Not that that was an unusual sight, but these alleycats he'd never seen before, they must have been new to the area.
-
Sagwa saw her brother trying to keep up with them and saw Sheegwa slow down a bit, Sagwa thought she could give her brother a chance and slowed down to let him catch up.
-
Fu-Fu soon reached the palace, the bat wanting to infrom his cat friends about what he had just seen in the village. He noticed Sagwa coming towards in his direction, so he swooped down.
"hi Sagwa, how are..." he began, when he realized he and Sagwa were about to have a head-on collision!
-
"Fu-Fu! What are you-" She was cut off when her head smashed into the bats head. She fell to the ground dazed for a little bit, but regained her focus and looked in concern at her batty friend. "Are you all right, Fu-fu?" she asked and completely forgot about the race to the kitchen.
-
thats what you get from running too fast Dongwa said coming up to them.. ' Next time, sis, go slower..
-
"Yeahhhh...." Fu-fo nodded dizzily, shaking his head so he'd stop seeing stars.
"Sorry about dropping in," the bat apologized. "I just wanted to stop in and say hi, how are you?"
-
Before Sagwa answered she stuck her tongue out at her brother.
"I'm fine, a dit dizzy right now, but still fine," she answered. "How about you, Fu-Fu?"
-
"About the same," the bat replied, adjusting his glasses. "anyways, when I was flying here, I saw some new alley cats. They looked more serious than all the other alley cats I've seen before."
-
"New Alley Cats?" Sagwa gasped.
-
"Wow..." Sheegwa said, stopping in surprise.
"They looked...rather mean, from what I saw," Fu-fu explained, "Even Jet Jet seems nice sometimes...."
-
"I wonder if there may be a reason behind the way they act or seem to be." Baba said as he came up to where the others were at his usual non hurried pace that he usually walked in, unless there was need otherwise, or other reason.
-
"What do you mean, Baba?" Sagwa asked, not quite understanding what her father was getting at.
-
"Yeah, what do you mean by that baba?" sheegwa also asked her father.
-
"Just that the way they are acting may be due to many factors. Not wanting others to find out about them or their plans, their background, or other factors." Baba said to the others.
-
"Oh!" Sagwa exclaimed, understanding what her father was saying, or at least trying to. "So, you mean that they're acting that way to kind of hide themselves? Thaqt does sound pretty suspicious..." Sagwa remarked.
-
"But why would they do that?" Sheegwa asked puzzled.
(OOC: Does anyone know a website where we could get english-to-chinese translations so I could think up names for the bad guys?)
-
((OOC: Not really, sorry.)
Sagwa shrugged, not able to answer her sister's question.
-
"I don't know if they're in the same spot," Fu-fu admitted, "So I don't know if you could meet them, even if you guys wanted to."
-
"It may be suspicious." Baba said nodding to what Sagwa said. "Unfortunately there are some people who are less then honest." He said.
"What do you think. Would you like to meet them or at least get a look at them after breakfast? Or would you rather play or whatever your plans were?" baba asked them.
-
"Uh...well...I'll go along with whatever you guy's wanna do," she said, nodding to her brother and sister.
-
"I want breakfast first," Sheegwa smiled cutely.
-
"Now that you mention it, Sheegwa, I am a bit hungry. What about you Dongwa?" Sagwa asked.
-
"Breakfast is a very important meal." Baba said. "Shall we go and see what cook has ready for us?" He asked looking at them as he smiled a bit.
-
(Dang sorry for the tardy-ness!)
"Yes remember children what your father says is correct. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!" Mama said looking at the younger felines.
(Umm.. I'm not entirly sure what to post is it alright I put a one-liner for now?)
-
(It's ok CM.)
"Glad to see you awake mama," Sheegwa smiled, as the cat family made their way to the kitchen.
Fu-fu decided to follow his friends.
-
"Okay!" Sagwa agreed as she storlled with her family to the kitchen, but saw that Dongwa was being left behimd. It looked like he was in his own little world for whatever reason.
"Hey, Dongwa! You coming?" she called.
-
"Thank you Sheegwa. Strange it would be me who would be saying that to you. So what do you want to eat?" The older female feline asked giving a smiling that only cats or another animal can see.
-
"Dongwa, what's slowing you down?" Sheegwa called.
-
Dongwa hurrid to catch up.. sorry guys i went down the wrong path" He admitted " but i'm caught up now. so what are we doing?
-
"Getting breakfast, didn't you hear Baba and Mama?" Sagwa answered.
-
"It smells like fish," Sheegwa grinned.
-
Baba sniffed, "ah, yes, " he said, "Well I'm sure everyone here likes fish." He said smiling, liking fish himself as he walked along with the others. He looked around at what he could see as they walked around enjoying the sights as much as the smells.
-
Indeed, fish was waiting for the cat family at the kitchen.
"Yummy," Sheegwa smiled.
-
Dongwa helped himself to fish and a pair of chopsticks. " yummy' He smirked as he took his seat..
-
Sagwa smiled as she took her seat and took a bite of the succulent fish. "Mmm," she smiled as she licked her lips.
-
Sheegwa nibbled into her fish.
"This is tasty..." the youngest kitten grinned.
-
Baba ate some of his fish, taking a few bites. "it does taste like cook has outdone himself once more." He said as he paused his eating before he went back to eating at his steady pace, not in a hurry. He savored the smell and taste of his breakfast instead of eating it fast as he did sometimes when he was younger.
-
Meanwhile, out in the village, most of the regular alley cats were hanging out when Han-Han (the girl alley cat) noticed Jet-jet was missing.
"Have you guys seen him? Han-han asked, when they soon got their answer.
"Ow. Ouch..." Jet-jet grumbled, walking towards his friends. "What happened to you?" Han-Han asked.
"Some cat I never saw before bit me..." Jet Jet grumbled.
~~~~~~~~~~~
"I'm stuffed," Sheegwa laughed after she finished her fish.
-
"Let's head into the village," Fu-fu encouraged.
-
"Since I'm full," Sagwa remarked, "sounds like a good idea to me, Fu-fu!"
-
Fu-fu waited for Dongwa to finish before the 4 friends left.
-
Sagwa was getting a little annoyed that her brother was taking so long to finish his meal.
"Why are you so slow today, Dongwa?" she muttered.
-
"We don't have to rush him," Sheegwa said.
-
"You're right, Sheegwa," Sagwa agreed. "I guess I'm just a little excited about these new cats. Sorry Dongwa," she apoligized and curled her tail around her front paws ands waited for her brother to finish.
-
"i'm gonna make that guy pay..." Jet-jet vowed in the alleyway.
~~~~~~~~~~
Soon, all the kittens and Fu-Fu were ready to leave the palace.
-
Jet Jet placed his paw in a small puddle of cold water to help with the pain.
"Seriously, what was their problem?" the alley cat grumbled.
-
"Have fun, and be safe." Baba said smiling, having been listening as he focused on eating his breakfast.
-
"Thanks, Baba," Sagwa said as she waited for her brother.
-
"I wonder what the alley cats are up to," Sheegwa said as the siblings went off into the village.
-
might as well find out by finding them " Dongwa said as he waked alongside his siblings..
-
"Hey guys," Han-han waved to the royal siblings after they caught up with each other.
"What happened to Jet jet?" Sheegwa asked, seeing him look like he was in pain.
"Someone bit his paw..." the girl alleycat replied.
-
"Hi, so an alleycat really bit his paw?" Sagwa asked, look at him. "Wow..."
-
"He's gonna pay.." Jet-jet vowed.
-
"You shouldn't think about payback Jet-Jet," Sheegwa said, "My Mama says payback only makes things worse."
-
"Uh-huh," Sagwa agreed.
-
"Right Dongwa?" Sheegwa asked.
-
Right Shegwa. Trying to get even doesn't make anything better.
-
One of those new cats, Hee Wa, the father of two kittens, was thinking about what his son had just did to Jet Jet.
"Foolish brat," he said about the other alley cat. "Good job son," he complimented.
~~~~~~~~~~
"Well, I don't wanna see them anytime soon," Jet Jet replied.
"How have you been Dongwa?" Han Han asked, the girl alleycat kinda liked the oldest Miao sibling.
-
i'm pretty good Han Han " Dongwa said sheepishly, He liked Han Han. " How have you been?"
-
"Just fine, getting around," she replied.
"What have you been up to?"
-
Han Han herself had been practicing the equivalent of skateboarding for cats that Jet Jet had invented.
-
not much, just dea;ling with my younger siblings Dongwa said..
-
"That's nice," Han-Han said, grabbing her makeshift "skateboard" (and the alley cats just called it a board).
Sheegwa saw a butterfly flutter nearby and was fascinated.
-
so what are you going to do today ?' dongwa asked her as she began to board away..
-
"Chase some mice, practice my moves," Han Han explained
-
Dada decided to take a stroll around the garden areas and were the pond was. For the pleasant smells, views, sights and since walking could be fun at times also.
-
Hee Wa and his family were standing on a nearby rooftop, looking down at the alley cats and the royal kittens.
"If they only knew..." he laughed silently to himself.
-
Dongwa followed Han Han as best he could, she was very fast on her skateboard..
-
"Wanna try Dongwa?" Han Han asked, skidding to a stop.
"i'm sure you're tough enough with your kung fu to try this."
-
sure i'll try it.. whatever it is' dongwa replied as he continued chasing her.
Yin Yin watched the two cats from a nearby roof and scowled
There goes that goddy-goody Dongwa..' she muttered.
-
"In due time," Hee Wa said to his daughter, "They probably won't be acting so goody-goody," he smirked sinisterly.
Truth be told, Hee Wa had a grudge against royal cat families as a whole.
-
As Sagwa stayed silent through the conversation, she finally noticed her brother's snarky comment about them. She was about to snarl at him, but noticed he was having a good time and decided not to ruin it and kept quiet until she was call upon or had a good reason to say something.
-
"What do you want to do Sagwa?" Sheegwa asked her older sister politely.
-
"Hm...I'm not sure, Sheegwa. Do you want to follow them? Or do you want to do something else?" she asked, since there was really nothing else to do except follow their older brother, but, she decided to let the younger cat decide.
-
"I think we should stick together," Sheegwa said, "If what they said about the mean cats is true...."
-
Sagwa smiled and nodded. "Me too. And if someone's bitten Jet Jet's tail, they can't be very friendly," she answered and started to walk in the direction her brother went.
-
"Do you have any ideas of how to get the royal cats out of the way?" Hee Wa asked his daughter.
The mysterious new alleycats eyes were all set on the Magistrate's palace.
~~~~~~~
"Try to balance on the board," Han Han said, giving Dongwa her "skateboard."
-
Yin yin frowned " thatsa a very good question. the trick is how to do it without attracting notice
_ Dongwa uneasily stepped onto the board.
-
"We could always do a frame up job," Mei Ling, Hee Wa's wife suggested. "Get the magistrate upset at his precious pets."
~~~~~~~~~
"Always keep one paw on the ground, to give a kick start," Han Han instructed.
-
"it's nice to see our children hanging out with cats of all classes," Shao Fung smiled to Win Bao. Indeed, the Miao family were anything but snobs despite being royal.
-
"Any ideas yin yin?" Hee wa asked his daughter.
~~~~~~~~~~
"You can do it Dongwa," Han Han encouraged with a smile.
-
I'd go one better father " Yin Yoin replied
havethe magistrate kick out the family entirely! frame they for aomething so bad, that they will be thrown out!
-
"But the number one question...frame them for what?" Hee Wa commented.
"is it getting easier Dongwa? Han Han asked.
-
Win Bao nodded, "It is indeed. They are not one of those who see themselves as better or more important then others." He said to Shao Fung glad to see that their children were indeed willing to associate or play with others regardless of their class.
-
not really' Dongwa admitted as the board kept flipping up on him...
-
"Just have some more practice," Han Han smile,d putting her paw on his back.
-
So how should I tackle this. should I put my left paw first or my right?
-
"Whichever one you are more comfortable with," Han-Han said,
"You can do it Dongwa," encouraged Sheegwa.
-
Dongwa climbed into the board then was surprised when Hsanhan climbed on behind him " you're to help me steer huh.. thats fine..
-
"Do you have any plans for today, other then our usual writing duties?" Win Bao asked Shao Fung.
-
"You can count on me," Han-Han grinned. "Now, slowly push us forward....."
-
the usual will do.. saho fung replied ' and try and find some different paper the last batch was rather runny..
-
"Yes, I wonder if they had to get a lower grade of paper or the manufacturer had a reason for making that. Being rushed, or some other reason." Win Bao said.
-
"You're getting it, you're getting it," Han Han nodded to Dongwa
