Title: Why Such A Restraint on Video Hosting Sites?

I was checking out a ton of video hosting sites outside the normal recommendations, and I found one glaring problem on many that I must seriously question.

Why do SO many video hosting sites have a size limit of 100 MB?  Such a limit doesn't work for me. -_-

This helps limit using the service to upload commercial material (i.e. movies, tv episodes, etc.).  If you compress a 1 hour movie into 100mb, it will look like absolute crap.  Another reason is just size and bandwidth limitations of the smaller time video hosting websites.
