General Land Before Time / LBT cirriculum
« on: July 13, 2013, 12:14:17 PM »
So, I was out earlier and was in one of those semi-bored states where strange ideas like this one come into your mind.

Basically, this was my idea  :idea  - imagine that the gang of seven where to go into the modern world (well, in the case of dinosaurs, pseudo-modern) and try to get themselves into decent jobs. What professions do they choose? Why, teaching!!    :lol

OK, its a little bit quirky (product of my mind) but here I shall analyse what the main characters would teach if they had the opportunity - it would certainly be interesting to have these subjects/classes taught by them. Feel free to add your own ideas and thoughts if you have the same weird frame of mind I do.  :lol

Littlefoot - History. He's a longneck, and, let's face it - even though its more in the realms of myths and legends, the longneck's alleged history of saving the Bright Circle and the LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE dinosaur is rather well-covered in the series. There's no limit to what Littlefoot could teach eager young minds - you saw he was like at the end of the sixth film...

Cera - Physical Education. Cera would refuse to teach anything generic, and, in her eyes, dull. She has a typical tough-girl approach to anything, and you can imagine her slave-driving people or dinosaurs to do all sorts of things...I mean, who hasn't though Cera would look complete in a sports jacket with a whistle round her neck? Er, probably most people actually... :oops

Ducky - Drama. Ducky's one of those eager and playful types, especially in pretend play - teaching professional Drama isn't that much of a stretch, right? Says the former GCSE Drama student... :slap
Ah, well, be honest, she would do well in Drama, yep yep yep...and due to her love for singing, she could probably do Music as well.

Petrie - Geography. I was originally going to put him down for English as an intended joke, but I think I need to give him his due.  :lol Why geography? Well, Petrie himself explained a useful tool of the anatomy of flyers back in the seventh movie - fly up high and see things others could not see. He could probably draw us a map of the Great Valley if he wanted to, and he certainly knows his way around places.

Spike - Product Design. Spike is the silent strongman of the group. Whenever something needs moving or pushing, he's always called up to the job. Its certainly a profession he could pass onto the next generation - non-verbally of course. Alternatively, Spike could do Food Technology. He could introduce his students to a whole array of Great Valley flora and how best to eat it, which he'd then do all himself. Or maybe Art - the drawing in the dirt he did of Ducky in the seventh movie was better than I could of done. He's a dinosaur of many talents... :exactly

Chomper - Modern Foreign Languages. Well, its obvious isn't it? This lad's bilingual, being fluent in both sharptooth or leaf-eater. He could just as easily teach sharpteeth leaf-eater and leaf-eaters sharptooth. It might help humans to understand what dinosaurs are saying too. Chomper could possibly also teach Food Technology - this time slightly more meaty...

Ruby - Philosophy. "Hello, my students, my students, hello!" It could have come straight from Socrates...seriously, having her as a philosophy teacher would be brilliant - you can learn things from her perspective and you end up with a new school of thought. Possibly like the strange one that possessed me to do this in the first place.

General Land Before Time / How long do you think...?
« on: July 10, 2013, 02:39:55 PM »
Its obvious that Chomper got lucky with the gang in terms of making leaf eater friends. If it wasn't for our dear egg-stealer friends, Chomper wouldn't know them.

That begs the question, how did Chomper manage to meet Ruby, and moreover, Ruby's family? Speaking the herbivorous language might help, but I saw raised on another topic the possibility that it was Ruby herself who taught him to speak this language, meaning that Chomper met her before the events of LBT 5. If that's the case, how, when, and why was she not with him in said movie?
Talk about behind the scenes...
Any thoughts?

The Fridge / Theatrical Stress.
« on: May 16, 2013, 04:00:45 PM »
Just finished a Drama showcase performance. I've never done that sort of thing before, but it has completely drained me. I have no energy, and barely a lot of anything...even the ability to construct sentences...

Still, it could have been worse. At least the majority of our performance went fine and dandy, and she didn't kiss him...

Silver Screen / Jurassic Park IV
« on: April 27, 2013, 04:54:02 PM »
OK, OK, so we've all heard it. Jurassic Park IV, having been stuck in development hell for years, has frequently fallen victim to many release rumours, each more ridiculous than the last.

But, this time, I think its genuine!!!!
According to various sources, Jurassic Park IV will be released in June 2014. Although a cast and plot is still under development, a director has been confirmed: Colin Trevorrow.

In addition, paleontological adviser Jack Horner has stated that, along with the T.rex and Velociraptors, a new sinister extinct foe will be introduced, confirmed to terrorised, one that will apparently make you want to sleep with the light on.
But he hasn't told us what...

So, I'm going to offer my thoughts and hope you'll do the same!
Deinocheirus is what I really want to see. A mysterious, possibly horrifying dinosaur with enormous arms and claws. And of course, with little known about it, the film makers can do whatever they want with it! For more on Deinocheirus click here.

Give me your thoughts people!!  :smile

The Fridge / Family
« on: April 17, 2013, 11:50:15 AM »
I don't know whether this is an appropriate thing to post, so apologies if necessary in advance.

But I got home from school today feeling, well, quite unhappy. The reason being?  :(
I don't know if I was just being my paranoid self as usual, but I felt as though I was being made an example of my some unruly classmates because of my Asperger's Syndrome. It wouldn't be the first time. For the past few days, I have been thinking rather a lot about it, and people do seem to find their own ways in expressing their views about it. Whether deliberately spelling things out, or just giving me the cold shoulder, it has hit home hard.  :(

Then I came onto here, saw some replies I got on things I had posted and...it made me feel good. The people on here never let me down.  :D

So, to be truthful, this is what this is all about - a thank-you note, thanking everyone on here for being as friendly and as caring as you are. In a sense, you're like a family, and you always make me smile. So, thank you.

This is also a shout-out to anyone new on here. If you're looking for friends, you won't be disappointed.  :smile

Recently, I've discovered I have hit 100 posts on this site (took me long enough) and I'm just wondering if there's like a norm of celebration or something for that landmark?

General Land Before Time / Mammals
« on: March 23, 2013, 11:46:29 AM »
The animals on the LBT world are emphatically divided into mere untalking animals into sapient anthropomorphic species who act like humans. Most types of animals in the LBT world fit neatly into one or the other category.

Mammals are a slightly trickier one though - some of the first mammals to appear on the series - Tickles and his fellows on 4 - seemed unable to speak like the main characters, but did, nevertheless, understand what they were saying.

This changed on the TV series. In the episode 'Stranger From the Mysterious Above,' the roles seemed to have changed. The mammals on this episode could speak, whereas Spike couldn't (or rather, didn't) suggesting that they may have a language unbeknownst to leaf-eating dinosaurs, rather like sharpteeth do.

However, then there was Skip from 'Return to Hanging Rock,' who could speak fluent leaf-eater language. Whether this is a general thing for mammals of his kind, or whether he just learnt it from being a nomad for so long, it still isn't clear.

So, over to you, what do you think? Mammals seem sapient like the dinosaurs, and if so, what is their view on them? Considering how they're quite often overshadowed, there may be a bit of displeasure here...

I for one find the idea of mammals being antagonists of LBT quite appealing. Though they lack the brawn to be obvious threats like powerful sharpteeth, they do have their resourcefulness and intelligence on their sides, proving a problem for our heroes in much darker ways.

General Land Before Time / Great Longneck Migration's 10th anniversary
« on: February 11, 2013, 01:27:05 PM »
In light of this year being the 10th anniversary of The Land Before Time X: The Great Longneck Migration, I feel we should take some time to commemorate it.

But its going to be very embarrassing if someone else has already made such a page... :oops

Anyway, let us discuss it like so:

Favourite parts

- The song, 'Bestest Friends.' Whatever your opinion on including musical tracks within the movies are, this is undeniable one of the better choices. I have yet to meet an LBT fan who doesn't like this. The original clip isn't available on YT, which is a bit annoying,  <_< but hey, who says that won't change?

- The character of Bron. His story may have a few holes, but on the whole (no pun intended) he is a good choice for a character. Littlefoot's father was going to have to be approached at one point, and I also like how Littlefoot's reaction was not cliche and he trusted him immediatley.

- The character of Sue. A minor character, but none-the-less one I took to instantly. Her voice and personality is sorta cute/likeable/etc and she is one of the first non-parent characters to play a sort of guardian role. Not to mention she is one of the only characters (besides Topsy and Tria) to actually have a proper love-story. I like the idea of her being miffed at being tall, as supposed to being small. XD.

- The character of Shorty. Honestly, Shorty is one of my favourite characters in the entire series, on the basis of this one film. I didn't like his personality in the TV series, and having Rhett's voice actress made him irritating...
The possibilities of Shorty's past are a fanfic writer's dream. Why did he lose his family? Why did he take to looking after those Camarasaurus hatchlings? I also like those hintings of lonliness and inferiority complex that has dotted his life up until now. As he said to Littlefoot: 'Now that he (Bron)'s found you, he'll ignore me, just like everybody else.' I swear, I've gotta write a Shorty fanfic one day...or just stop being lazy and read one.

- The battle scene. The battle sequence between the various longnecks and those three sharpteeth on the crater was, I think, the first fast-moving true battle scene since the first movie. Not to mention, it was quite large scale, had some awesome music in the background. It was generally just awesome. My other favourite battle scenes include the one between the original sharptooth and Littlefoot's mother (you can't beat the classics) and the one in the fifth movie, simply because it was sharptooth vs. sharptooth.

- The Sarcosuchus. I don't think I need to say more...

Least favourite parts

- The song, 'Me and My Dad.' I don't know why...it just irks me somewhat. Maybe it seemed to me Littlefoot had developed an arrogant streak. That was certainly my first impression when I watched it, but perhaps I just don't like the tune...I dunno!!!!!!!

- How they treated the sharpteeth. Bron calling sharpteeth 'cowards' is still one issue I have with his character. Whether that's me just being over-protective of the sharptooth cause or not, it certainly seemed to me that there was something darker in the character of Bron at that moment. In any case, Littlefoot should have corrected him! He has seen first-hand that sharpteeth are indeed sentient like other dinosaurs and can even form loving families. This also brings me to my annoyance with the fact that Chomper wasn't mentioned at all in the films he did not appear in...

- Longneck centralism. For a series that is supposed to discourage racism, they made longnecks seem quite like royalty in this film, saving the world, battling sharpteeth etc...just a thought, but still...

- No Doc or Ali. A mass gathering of longnecks for some noble cause? Why wasn't Doc, the fabled hero longneck, there???????? Was it really too much of a social gathering for to show up? And if he had battled the sharpteeth too, we could have seen the Lone Dinosaur in his proper action. And Ali - her return would have marked quite a good subplot in my opinion, especially if she were to interact with Littlefoot and Shorty in a way that would further develop Shorty's character. Maybe I should write that someday...

When I first watched it

I first watched this film, like I first LBT in general, on the wonderful British Cartoon Network partner Boomerang. Back in the day, they had these Land Before Time marathons, where they showed all the LBT films that had to been made at that point on TV, back-to-back.  :D I will admit, I got a bit lost after watching the first four, but when I saw a TV trailer (for it being shown on Boomerang, as supposed to the DVD) for LBT X, I thought, 'Why not?' I was sceptical at first about the character of Littlefoot's father - I mean, where had he been all this time??? But I grew to like the film, and I have re-watched it many times.

Over to you now - set out your memories and thoughts of this film the way I have. I look forward to seeing them!
- Toby.  :wave

LBT Fanart / Art for Venatione Venatus.
« on: January 27, 2013, 05:12:17 PM »
OK, I love fanart.
It is honestly one of my favourite things, but it would be slightly more useful if I could draw it...

Many of you have now probably seen my fanfic, Venatione Venatus. I was wondering if any of you would like to do some art for it. I've already asked around, but there's either been no reply, or indecision.

I feel really bad trying to force this on you guys, but I'd just thought I'd make this public, and see if anything comes of it.

So, yeah...

LBT Fanfiction / Character profiles for Venatione Venatus
« on: January 19, 2013, 07:50:03 AM »
OK, so, when I posted the prologue of my LBT fanfic Venatione Venatus yesterday, I was asked to reveal some info on the characters. So, here are four character profiles. More will be added as more characters are introduced in the story.

(I know the regulations for fanfiction on here say all chapters must be in the same post, but this isn't an extra chapter, so yeah...)

Seizon

Gender: Male

Species: Bladeback (Oxalaia quilombensis)

Body Colour: Cyan, w/ sea green sail.

Eye Colour: Amber

Family details:
Parents (deceased)
Xal (stepfather)

Dwelling: Fanged forest:
A small forest on top of a hill, where a small community of sharpteeth live. Has lived with them his whole life, and whilst a few come and go, the small family of Twoclaws to which Saureen belongs to has always remained.

Friends/social life: SeizonÅfs closest friend is Saureen, whom he regards like a little sister. However, he also soon befriends a group of young, orphaned sharpteeth (more on them later) and they become a pack.

Personality: Seizon is a headstrong young bladeback, who has charismatic skills to be envied. He quickly asserts himself as the leader of the pack he forms, and he always believes his ideals will be best for everyone, even when they can go disastrously wrong, and sometimes forces his views across. He is devoted to his last remaining family member, his stepfather Xal, and is seemingly the only person whom Seizon considers better than himself. Xal is quite a manipulator, and Seizon simply goes with what he says, persuading others to follow his lead, or sometimes, forces them to.

Despite this, he is not a particularly bad individual, and will often go out of his way to help his friends (i.e, the people who do what he says) and acts like an overprotective brother to Saureen, putting his life on the line in order to protect her.

Favourite food: Lizards.

Likes: Hunting, sleeping, Saureen, Xal, asserting his authority, himself, swimming.

Dislikes: Flatteeth (unless heÅ's eating them), being superseded by others, arrogant hunters, Screech & Thud.

Saureen

Gender: Female

Species: Twoclaw (Tyrannosaurus rex)

Body Colour: White w/ black stripes

Eye Colour: Green

Family Details:
Tyra (grandmother)
Ferox (father)
Recently deceased mother

Dwelling: Fanged forest.
Moved there not long after she was born, after having travelled long and wide with her family for a new home. Befriended Seizon.

Friends/social life: Seizon is her closest friend, and she also quickly moves to befriend the pack he forms, becoming a loyal member. Unlike Seizon, she takes to Chomper quite quickly once he is forcibly recruited into the pack (SPOILERS! Sort ofÅc)

Personality: Saureen is very dedicated to her family and to her surrogate brother, Seizon. Unlike Seizon, she is not self-centred, and yet is also very independent. Until the longneck attack that this. Then she has to rely on Seizon, and soon becomes quite meek under his ferocious leadership demeanour.

Also unlike Seizon, she is quite open-minded, one of the reasons she is ready to accept Chomper and even convinces him to teach her flattooth. She becomes very taken with Chomper actuallyÅc
Seizon is no love rival, but he doesnÅft consider Chomper to be the best influence on his surrogate sister.

Favourite food: Fish.

Likes: Seizon (sometimes), Chomper, her family, hunting, exploring, the new pack, pointy seed bowling.

Dislikes: Seizon (sometimes), the spiked longneck, Xal, Screech & Thud.

Spiked Longneck

Gender: Male Å

Species: Agustinia ligabuei

Body Colour: Red and tan.

Eye Colour: Yellow.

Info: Not much is known about this mysterious attacker of the Fanged Forest. Xal was forewarned of this attack, so he knew he had to get Seizon and Saureen out of the way. According to him, the solution to defeating this monster was by heading west towards the Great Valley. There, the two kids would find something (or someone) to help them in forming a strong pack, eventually finding their way back to the Fanged Forest and dealing with this animal.

But this longneck has plans of his own. He knew, by their direction where Seizon and Saureen were headed, and he has his own ties with the valley. What sort? Only time will tellÅc

Xal

Gender: Male Å

Species: Bladeback (Oxalaia quilombensis)

Body Colour: Deep blue w/ deep blue and red sail.

Eye Colour: Amber.

Info: Xal is SeizonÅfs stepfather, and the undisputed leader of the Fanged Forest. He has often announced he has big plans to his stepson and anyone else who will listen. Quite what his plans are is currently unknown, but it is certainly clear that he had his reasons for sending Saureen and Seizon to the Great Valley. Reasons that, along with the longneckÅfs motives, will soon be revealed.
As his plans unfold, his nearest and dearest begin to see that he isnÅft completely innocentÅc

And there you have it. Now, I would like to ask anyone who likes to draw fanart, if they would like to draw one of my OCs? Or more than one if you like. Thanks!  :DD

LBT Fanfiction / Venatione Venatus
« on: January 18, 2013, 08:16:37 AM »
Hi guys. Here is my first attempt at LBT fanfiction. I hope you enjoy it...

Prologue

There is no greater myth than the stillness of the night.
Under the shimmering gaze of the Great Night Circle, the quiet atmosphere was split in two by the racket of a monumental battle.
As the loud bellows, roars and thuds could be heard issuing from deep within a small forest upon a hill, trees were sent toppling like twigs, and small animals flew or scurried away in fright. Among these in this hurried exodus was young Twoclaw (tyrannosaurid) Sharptooth, her iconic silhouette burned against the night sky.
The young predator paused in her escape, turning her gaze back towards the ferocious fight, her emerald green eyes glistening with wonder and fear. She couldn’t stay long, however, which she knew – especially with the rockslide making its way down the hill…
She turned tail and continued to flee, but soon found herself getting gathered up by these the descending rocks, tumbling head-over-heels down the steep tor, before she was flung clean out of the way…
As the titanic battle continued, a young cyan bladeback was seen hurriedly skidding down the fallen rocks. He swept his amber eyes over the scene of post-disaster, until he saw a figure he recognised – a snow-white young female twoclaw, whose body was adorned with elegant black stripes, was laying several metres away.
He hurried over to her and nudged her roughly with his snout.
“C’mon, Saureen,” he said. “We’ve gotta move!”
Saureen gave a soft moan as she feebly attempted to stagger to her feet.
“Seizon…” she murmured. “I don’t think I can…” she swayed slightly on the spot.
Seizon grabbed her.
“You’ve got to,” he said, shortly. “We can’t stay here. We’re heading west.”
These words were a slight surprise to Saureen. She fixed Seizon with a penetrating emerald stare.
“Why west?”
Seizon narrowed his eyes.
“Because,” he replied. “That’s what I’ve been told. Now, we need to hurry, because-”
That was as far as he got, when a blizzard of gravel and stones hammered the ground in front of them. An animal had just landed on top of the rockslide. A massive, angry animal, which let out a gargantuan bellow…
Grabbing the younger sharptooth firmly by the arm, Seizon fled, and with the stomping that he heard in his wake, the creature was undoubtedly following. He continued to half-drag Saureen off into the night, until he noticed a massive fissure in the ground just ahead of him. Just what he needed…
Taking a calculated risk, he sprinted towards the edge of the fissure before leaping with all his strength.
Whilst suspended in mid-air, he flung Saureen’s limp but conscious form away from him, hoping their momentum would take her to the other side. He was lucky – Saureen’s zebra-patterned body hit the other side of the fissure and rolled away from the precipice. Now all he had to do was focus on getting himself there too…
It was fortunate for him that bladebacks were blessed with long arms. Clinging onto the edge of ground with his fore-claws he was able to haul himself up.
“Hey, Saureen,” he said, nudging her again. “You OK?”
Saureen slowly raised her head off the ground. She gave an affirmative nod, but then her eyes widened as she looked past Seizon’s shoulder.
On the other side of the fissure, the animal pursuing them stood still. Although the two young sharpteeth could only see the silhouette, they could tell exactly what it was. If the evil yellow glint of its eyes didn’t confirm it, its tall frame and menacingly spiky body was enough…
“Did you ever believe the legends?” Saureen whispered. Seizon gave an uncomfortable twitch. No, he had never believed, not since he was a hatchling. Those sorts of scare stories, he thought, were sure to have been made up – but now, the physical evidence was right before his eyes.
“The longneck with a sting in its tail,” Saureen murmured. “A huge flattooth with spikes covering every part of its body…”
“I know the story,” Seizon interrupted. “And I can see this beast for myself…” He turned to his companion.
“Gawping at this thing is not going to do anything for us,” he said. “We need to move.”
“What about our families?” Saureen demanded.
Seizon hesitated. That was a tricky one…
“If I know your dad,” he said, “Then it’ll take more than a spiky longneck to finish him off. I’m sure he’s just lying unconscious somewhere…”
Saureen twitched slightly and this tactless remark, but didn’t breach the subject.
“OK,” she continued. “And what about Xal?”
Seizon gave a short snicker.
“Oh, he’ll be absolutely fine…don’t worry.”
The young bladeback began to walk away. Saureen followed him.
“What about our families?” Seizon remarked. “We’ve got each other, haven’t we?”
“We’re not related,” Saureen said shortly. “We’re different species…”
“So what?” Seizon replied, smiling at her a little. “We’ve lived together for as long as we can remember. You’re like a little sister to me.”
Saureen rolled her eyes, but smiled back.
“OK,” she said. “Now let’s just get moving.”
And so the two of them began their perilous journey west…watched, as they did so, by the longneck stranded on the other side of the chasm. Although he couldn’t understand the sharptooth language, he could see where they were headed, and he knew exactly what they’d find if they headed west…
The longneck turned away from the chasm and hurried off.

OK, so its not very long, but hey, its a prologue.  :lol
I hope you enjoyed it, and I also hope this is the correct procedure in posting fanfiction on this forum, otherwise I've made a really bad screw-up... :oops
I'm looking forward to hearing your feedback. Although I am slightly sensitive to criticism, I am happy to hear any advice any of you have on improving this story, though remember, its still in its early stages. The plot hasn't taken off yet!
Oh, and if anyone is interested in doing fanart for this, then please do! I will look forward to it!  :DD

The Fridge / Vanishing Act
« on: January 16, 2013, 01:51:56 PM »
I'd kind of like to apologise for being absent these past few days. My computer has been having some issues recently, and until it's repaired, I've only been able to use the one I'm writing on now, and not nearly often enough.
Under normal circumstances, I probably wouldn't have bothered putting something like this up. But I have really grown to like this forum, not to mention all of you people. I haven't been here long, but I already feel like one of the family.
Also, I remember when I posted my introduction on, somebody (I forgot who, sorry!) said they hoped I was here to stay, as many people leave and don't come back.  :(
But I promise you guys, this isn't me! Once my computer is fixed, I will be back on here more often again, AND I'm planning on posting some fanfiction on here.
I hope you will enjoy it when its here, and once again, sorry for not being here, and thank you all very much for your patience.  :DD
Regards,
Toby.

General Land Before Time / Speciesism
« on: January 08, 2013, 01:53:59 PM »
OK, because I'm new, again, I don't know if this has been approached before.
Either way! Here goes...

Speciesism is the racism of the LBT world. And, it has been a subconsious theme running through most of the movies, if not all of them, most prominentley on the first.

Racism in the LBT world is now almost synonymous with the character of Topsy, which is pretty unfair. Certainly, he's a racist character, but he has become more tolerant with time. And considering Topsy's given a whole heck of hate, all the other speciesist/racist characters in the series are largely overlooked. I don't think that's fair.

Take Old One's herd for example: On the fourth film, they point-blank ignore every other species of dinosaur that has come to greet them except for their own, and make it very clear that only longnecks should be allowed to accompany them when they leave. It may not sound too bad, but if you think about it, if the Great Valley were to change as dramatically as the Land of Mists had, what would Old One have done with all the species of dinosaurs living their that weren't longnecks? I wouldn't put it past her to simply leave them to die. And being a segregated herd is not merely a by-product of being far-walkers, considering the mixed herd that arrived at the Great Valley at the beginning of the seventh film.

This goes completley without mentioning Ali's reaction. Unlike Cera's previous attitude to other species, it wasn't an aloof, snooty sort of thing, but it was actually genuine fear. Fear of what exactly? Fear of other species because of what she's been told about them? Fear of what her elders might do to her if they had learned she had been interacting with other species? Either one is possible, and if so, it is an almost Nazi-like stance.

Sure, Topsy's beliefs rubbed off on Cera, there's no doubt about that. But as far as we can infer, Topsy didn't force these beliefs on her, otherwise Cera would have been an extremely meek and mild character, very different from the head-strong threehorn we all know and some of us love. I'm sure that Cera adopted these beliefs because her father did, not because he brainwashed her.

So, anyway, give me your thoughts, not just on what I've said about Old One's herd, but about speciesism in general.

General Land Before Time / Ichy and Dil's language
« on: January 07, 2013, 09:35:07 AM »
So, I'm new on here, and I don't know if this subject has been approached before. Sincerest apologies if it has, but anyway, here goes:

In the LBT universe, there are quite a few languages, the two most prominent of course being the flattooth language and the sharptooth language. As the leaf-eaters are the protagonistic creatures, their language is heard as English (or some other human language) to the viewer whereas the sharptooth language is generally growls and roars. Occasionally, we get subtitles for their language.

But, Ichy and Dil are honourary sharpteeth, yes? What puzzles me is how they are heard speaking English. Of course, like Chomper, they may have simply learnt the language, perhaps to understand their prey better and work out clever ways to hunt them by knowing what they're thinking. But then this begs the question why they comunicate to each other in flattooth tounge. Considering its the langauge of their prey, its not exactly the most dignified way of speaking. Ichy even referred to Littlefoot and the others as 'animals' when they were throwing rocks at them. Then again, if you're pinned with the most unlikely partner for survival, dignity isn't always your top priority.  :lol

The only other explanation I can think of is this: Ichy and Dil were speaking the sharptooth language, and in this case it was directly translated into English, as supposed to just using subtitles. But then again, Ichy was seen replying to what Littlefoot was saying about getting back home by, 'The only place you're going is the inside of our stomachs!'

Sooooooo...I dunno. Its over to you. What do you think?

Hi guys, I'm new on this site. My name's Toby, I'm 15 and, seemingly like many people on here, I have Asperger's Syndrome.
What can I say, but I love LBT! Even though I'm from the UK and getting LBT material is hard to come by, I can still get my hands on some of it.  ;)
So, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, and thanks to FlipperBoidSkua who introduced me to this site!  :wave
