LBT Fanfiction / After the Great Earthshake
« on: March 17, 2015, 02:28:52 PM »
Hours had passed since the families were divided. Lots of loved ones had died during the Great Earthshake; although, it hit Topsy the hardest. He lost the love of his life and most of his kids. All that is left he knows of is his oldest daughter Diana; Cera was nowhere to be seen; so, he thought she might have died. It was at that moment he and Diana met Grandma and Grandpa Longneck and their other grandchildren. The elderly couple also knew what it was like to lose loved ones; their only daughter was killed by a sharptooth. The longnecks were talking with the distraught threehorns.

"I am so sorry for your loss," Grandpa said.

Topsy nodded.

"Thank you," Topsy said, choking back a sob.

"Don't cry; or we'll start crying," Grandma soothed the threehorn.

Topsy sighed and tried to keep his emotions under control.

"I'm sorry; it's so hard you know; my wife and most of my kids died," Topsy replied, on the verge of tears.

"Dad; Mom and the others wouldn't want us to be sad; they'd want us to move on," Diana said.

Topsy nodded; his oldest daughter was wise for her age.

"I know; but..." Topsy felt a lump growing in his throat.

He began shedding tears; soon enough, Diana and the longnecks also started crying. They all managed to stop crying a few moments later.

"Sorry about that; I don't usually cry; but, it was necessary," Topsy replied apologetically.

Grandma lowered her head to nuzzle both the threehorns.

"It's all right; I guess you needed to let it out; do you feel better now?" Grandma asked.

Topsy nodded.

"Good; now, we need to find a spot to rest for the night; my feet are getting tired," Grandma replied.

A while later, the dinosaurs found a resting spot. They were all sleeping; except for Topsy. He was tossing and turning; a nightmare was disturbing his sound sleep.

"No! I'm too young for you to die! Please come back to me!" Topsy pleaded.

Grandpa woke up from his sound sleep and went over to see Topsy having a fit. He shook him awake gently with his head. Topsy woke up panting and with tears in his eyes. He nearly jumped out of his skin.

"It's all right; take a few deep breaths and calm down; do you need to talk about it?" Grandpa asked.

Topsy nodded and tried to recompose himself. He also wiped the tears away with his paw.

"Oh Longneck; it was awful; I seen my wife and most of my kids die during the Earthshake and just in my nightmare; I'm just happy that Diana is still alive; but, my youngest daughter Cera has been lost; I'm not sure if she's alive," Topsy replied.

Grandpa saw that Topsy was still upset; so, he wrapped his front legs around the threehorn. Topsy was surprised by the sudden act of comfort; but accepted the gesture. They broke apart a moment later.

"Thanks; I needed that; sorry if I woke you up," Topsy replied.

Grandpa smiled warmly at the younger male.

"It's okay; I had a feeling you needed to talk," Grandpa said.

Topsy nodded; he was glad that Grandpa was the only one to wake up while he was having a nightmare.

"I'm going back to sleep; see you in the morning," Topsy said.

Grandpa went back to his sleeping spot and went back to sleep. Topsy went back to sleep a moment later. He was glad he got the chance to talk about his nightmare; soon enough, a friendship developed between the longnecks and the threehorns.

Another one-shot; Topsy/Grandpa Longneck strictly friendship.

OC's have been added; extra grandchildren for Grandma and Grandpa Longneck; (I always liked the idea of Littlefoot having blood-related siblings); and Topsy's oldest daughter (Dinah and Dana's mom) from his and his deceased wife's first nest. I'm not sure how old Topsy is compared to Grandma and Grandpa Longneck; I just assume that there is a big age gap between them. His age was never revealed in the series.

LBT Fanfiction / A Childhood Trauma
« on: March 17, 2015, 12:48:06 AM »

Topsy wandered aimlessly around the Great Valley. He had many sleepless nights due to a nightmare; a tragic accident that took place in his old home a couple of days after his 6th Star Day. His twin brother Trike had fallen in the watering hole and Topsy jumed in to save him. However, he had died and Topsy nearly drowned saving him. He remembered his own dad telling him that he should have died instead of Trike. That was a secret he had been hiding for 40 cold times. This morning was the day of the incident from 40 cold times ago. That made Topsy feel even worse. Topsy had been afraid of water ever since.

Topsy came across Grandpa Longneck drinking from the watering hole at the Thundering Falls. The elderly longneck stopped drinking and looked over at the younger male.

"Hey Topsy, how you feeling?" Grandpa asked.

Topsy sighed.

Soon enough, he began to have flashbacks about his brother's death and his near-death experience. After 40 cold times of holding in the secret, Topsy began breathing rapidly and started having an anxiety attack. He yelled out for his dad to stop saying how he wish he died. Grandpa saw that Topsy was thrashing around and pinned him to the ground. He stayed like that until Topsy's anxiety attack passed.

"It's all right; your dad isn't here now," Grandpa soothed the threehorn.

Once Topsy's anxiety attack passed, Grandpa set his upper body off of him and laid beside him. It hurt the elderly longneck to see his friend like this. He must have been holding it in for quite some time. Topsy's breathing was also back to normal.

"I think I'm okay now," Topsy said.

Grandpa nodded.

"That's good; you scared me," Grandpa replied.

At that, Topsy let all his bottled up emotions pour out. Torrents of tears were running out of his eyes and he covered his head with his paws. Grandpa thought all of Topsy's emotions were released; but, it seems as though it was high-time he had a good cry. Topsy laid there sobbing; Grandpa said nothing and waited for him to let it out. It was now Grandpa's turn to get upset; this whole scene was heartbreaking.

"Oh... poor... Topsy," Grandpa whispered, slightly crying.

After a few moments, Topsy managed to stop crying and looked up from his paws at Grandpa. Topsy's stomach lurched at the sight of his friend crying. Grandpa's head was hanging low to the ground and Topsy rubbed his frill against his neck. That gave the elderly male a sense of comfort; a side of Topsy that wasn't seen very often. Grandpa looked at Topsy after a few moments.

"Why were you crying? You had nothing to cry about," Topsy said.

Grandpa sighed.

"I know; but, seeing you break down like that was a real tear-jerker," Grandpa replied.

The two males were silent for a while. Soon enough, Grandpa got tired of the silence.

"How are you feeling?" Grandpa asked.

"Better; I really needed to have a good cry; it was worse since today is the day that my brother Trike died from drowning at my old home at Sunset Valley," Topsy said.

"How long has it been?" Grandpa asked.

"Two days after mine and my brother and my two sister's 6th Star Day; he would have been around for 46 cold times if he was still alive," Topsy explained.

Grandpa nodded; now he knew why Topsy was so secretive about his childhood. He didn't want to reopen any old wounds.

"I'm sorry you had to suffer a tragedy at such a young age; I was your age when I watched my mom's dad die of his injuries from a sharptooth," Grandpa said.

"I'm sorry; you must have loved him," Topsy said.

"Yes I did love him; he was my role model," Grandpa replied.

Topsy felt better after talking to Grandpa Longneck. He even managed a small smile and thanked the elderly longneck for letting him talk about his childhood trauma. Topsy knew that Grandpa Longneck could lend a sympathetic ear whenever he had a problem. He truly is one of his good friends.

This is my first LBT one-shot; strictly friendship.

The Welcome Center / Hello there
« on: October 26, 2014, 09:05:32 PM »
Hi, I have been a member of the Gang Of Five since the middle of July. I didn't know about this site until this year. One day I was browsing on the Internet and I stumbled upon this site while searching for Land Before Time forums. For most of the year, I was a guest; then decided in the summer time, I'd join. I know the reply is late; but I'm still fairly new to this site since I haven't been a member for a long time. My favorite things to do with my time is video games, playing piano, writing fan fiction, listening to music, going on the Internet, reading fan fiction and watching shows that got onto dvds.

I promise to abide by the rules on this site; wouldn't want to be banned after being a member for three months.

Sincerely,

Littlefoot fan 1990
