General Land Before Time / Some unanswered questions about LBT 2
« on: June 01, 2011, 08:03:55 PM »
I just call it either lazy writing or a messy plot. Ultimately, I think Ozzy & Strut was just either a plot device or just a weak excuse for villains. It is true that Littlefoot out of every all of his other friends took the little sharptooth lightly. But here is a question that I have about Chompers parents. Where did they go? Why was Chompers egg left in the Mysterious Beyond without any supervision?
And I highly doubt that Ozzy or Strut would survive a jump from a cliff. And why would Strut jump to his doom along with Ozzy?

Saw it yesterday and loved it. My only issue with it is with all these big time actors like Jackie Chan, Seth Rogan, Jean-Claud Van Damme, and Dennis haysbert I was expecting a little more dialog or a little more out of them other than Po and Tigress. But still I enjoyed the movie regardless.

The Party Room / How's the Weather?
« on: May 27, 2011, 08:38:16 AM »
Speaking of tornadoes, we've had a really active tornado season this year. I've read that 2011 has been one of the worst years for tornadoes in recent memory, despite advances in forecasting technologies and warning systems.
The average amount of tornadoes appearing in certain states is 22 but this year it has been 49.

Tornadoes have hit six Southern states last month but luckily my house is still intact.

General Land Before Time / Marzgurl Discusses TLBT Movies
« on: May 19, 2011, 07:00:44 PM »
I don't think she even has to watch every single episode anyways. To me, its all the same. But I'm REALLY glad that she brought up Spike's character. He sees things in purple, he thinks grass can sing, (even though he eats them all the time) and he doesn't understand the hum-er, I mean, dinosaur language. He literally has the same intelligence as my dog Pepper. <_<  I'm thoroughly disappointed in that episode and the longneck scheme episode.

And I don't hear or see any "bashing" from Marzgurl here. Only trolls do that. ;)  If she really wanted to bash the series she would say "@#$% this entire franchise" or "LBT is gay"

Granted. I've only seen 14 episodes but I think I've seen enough.   -_-

I love the little mix of LBT style and more cartoony style.

I like how it looks very cartoony, yet still very much LBT-like.

I like to keep a certain balance between cartoony and an LBT-ish style. ;)

Nothing wrong with that. Just to let you know, I never expect artists to edit the errors I point out when I review fanart; my intention is mainly to provide notes for future reference, like if the artist decided to draw a particular character again. As always, if my nitpicking is more annoying than helpful to you (since you don't draw LBT fanart that often), I can simply exclude it.

Oi...took me a month to reply back :oops
Its not annoying at all. I find your nitpicking more helpful than harmful in the long run. ;)

I hated the animation in the TV series. TV series typically have lower quality animation, so I'd prefer movies in most cases.

Well, at least the animation isn't as bad as most of the 80's cartoons.

chances are that perhaps there was even the fear of another dinosaur TV series like Dink or a few others whose English names I don't know being sort of overlooked by a satted audience. Just speculating.

It's best to take a risk than worry about some other show stealing your shows' thunder.

General Land Before Time / Marzgurl Discusses TLBT Movies
« on: May 12, 2011, 08:21:36 AM »
I would think any movie before the thirteenth film would be better.   -_-
speaking of the tv series, I wonder if anybody on Thatguywiththeglasses will review Dink?

117
After watching Marzgurl's review of the last film I suddenly realize that it would've been a better idea if they had a tv-series right after the first film when LBT was still popular.
If we do the math here;
each individual movie is about 80 minutes or more and each episode is 22 minutes long.
They can easily have 4 episodes in that year instead of having to wait a year or two for an 80 minute film. Actually, instead of four episodes, If Scooby doo can produce 25 or more episodes in one year than so can LBT. For two decades LBT could've had 6 seasons each being 25 episodes! That, in total, would be 6x25=150 episodes! Each episode is 22 minutes so 150x22=3300 minutes of LBT cartoons! :o

I don't know about the budget, production value, time, money, etc compared to making a movie but I would think that having a tv series would be a better idea anyways.
And knowing that many of the LBT films like LBT 3 and 9 is in fact filled with slow pacing and pointless filler could've been four episodes instead of an hour and 10 minute movie.

What do you all think?

The Fridge / How often do you wash your clothes?
« on: May 10, 2011, 02:59:29 PM »
I do not have a washing machine anymore simply because my water bill has been sky rocketing lately. So I just head to the laundromat once every week on a Thursday In the late afternoon when it isn't too crowded. Luckily, I only have to spend $6.75 for washing and drying me and my mom's clothes.
