Littlefoot. His personality always rubbed off on me in a good way when I was a child.

Is it Cera's attitude o-O? I mean she's obviously been the most negative of the bunch but I think that's also her strength. That's why I see Spike more of a fifth (if we're going to rank here) and Cera a fourth because well.... there is just a lot more going on xD. Spike hardly says a word really, despite his adorableness, appetite, and warm relationship with the gang. Sure Cera's bossy but... I just don't see how Spike 'beats Cera' except for the fact that Spike is not bossy or something..? Ø\_(ツ)_/ØWere you talking to me?
Then again, maybe some of the others win solely because of their friendliness, quirks, and charm
I think that's why most people can relate to the characters
I'll skip the explanations because I'd probably just repeat the points the previous posters made. Besides, I tend to alter my views on characters slightly every now and then so the positions might change which is really hard to explain so... I'll skip thatSame here. I won't bother doing explanations because everyone else already has them covered and I don't want to sound repetitive. And the rankings change from time to time too.
1. DUCKY!!!
2. Petrie
3. Littlefoot
4. Spike
5. Cera
So, I've spread this around and there are those who think this was created because of the Jurassic World craze. However, we on this forum KNOW that it's not the case.Actually, "Jurassic World" began pre-production as way back as 2013, so I think the LBT staff saw it was happening and expected it to be popular. I mean, the sequels first came out after "Jurassic Park" was released and became popular; I think this is the same case here.
I mean, 16 months is how long it was in production before the trailer came out. We have another 8 months before it comes out. Maybe they got the idea to make a new one while working on Jurassic World, but even then, you really can't say it's because of Jurassic World being popular.
In truth, I have seen how well the sequels still sell. Parents who grew up with the series are the ones buying them for their kids. THAT is who it is being aimed towards. The new generation whom have come to enjoy the series thanks to the older generation. I mean, I have two nephews who enjoy this series as well. They absolutely LOVE dinosaurs. It's a perfect fit for them.
So yeah. Just wanted to say that.
If this turns out to be the love letter I'm hoping for, it'll be amazing.
Wow, thanks for the response! Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be Monolophosaurus with personal liberties done to the designs. That honestly wouldn't be the first time they did something like that. The Spinosaurus from LBT 12 comes to mind; it had two stubby, T. rex-like fingers instead of three claws.Quote from: Hypnobrai,Aug 5 2015 on 06:56 PMOn a related note, what kind of Sharpteeth are those supposed to be, the ones in the trailer? Some are saying Monolophosaurus, others are saying Yutyrannus. I for one cannot verify if either is correct; it's got a pronounced crest, yet it's feathered. One thing I noticed is that these sharpteeth had a different number of claws than both Monolophosaurus and Yutyrannus. These sharpteeth had four claws on each arm while both Monophosaurus and Yutyrannus have only three. If I can recall correctly, four fingers was a trait of early carnivores. Of course, they gave Chomper three fingers in some of his incarnations, but they fixed that with this one, so...
Maybe these sharpteeth don't perfectly line up with a real kind of dinosaur, maybe they're a stylized form of meat-eating dinosaur combining different traits from different real-life ones, but between Monolophosaurus and Yutyrannus, I'd say they're closer to Monolophosaurus because Monolophosaurus's crest is more exclusive to its species than feathers are for Yutyrannus, plus Monolophosaurus is more closely related to the four-clawed carnivores as well and comes from a time much closer to the time when the four-fingered carnivores were around.
I hope so too. LBT 10 left some questions unanswered, and if what I heard about a particular amount of people not liking it is true, then yes, I really would like LBT 14 to fix that, because I absolutely LOVED LBT 10 despite whatever flaws it had.Quote from: Dr. Rex,Aug 5 2015 on 05:57 PMI'm quite positive he did. If he cares about Littlefoot, then he should care about his mate.Well, I'm hoping whatever awaits LBT in the future, Journey of the Brave or otherwise, will take the opportunity to elaborate on this.
Thank you! It's good to be here.Quote from: Dr. Rex,Aug 5 2015 on 05:18 PM1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Littlefoot for me. His brave, adventurous, and fun-loving attitude has always been an inspiration to me in my childhood and I always strove to be like him back then. I still have a bit of that attitude in me.Very interesting post
2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - The Yellowbellies, all group in one. Nothing else to say about that.
3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - Honestly, I've always skipped over the songs back in my LBT heyday and I've only started paying attention to them recently whenever I re-watch my old movies. So, this has been selected from an awfully small pool of songs, but "Adventuring" from LBT 10 will have to do. It's always been catchy to me in my childhood.
4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - None so far. Like I said, the pool of songs I can remember is pretty small.
5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - LBT 10. It was and is my favorite LBT film. I can still remember how shocked I was when Bron was revealed to be Littlefoot's father. It made the film even more interesting to me. Plus, I felt it had the most action and adventure out of all the LBT films (excluding the first one, but the whole Bron reveal thing put it on the top of the list over the first one in my opinion) and that made it even more appealing to me.
6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - LBT 13. Such a big letdown, especially with the Yellowbellies.
7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - The death of Littlefoot's mother. I remember being so confused on exactly how she died, over any other emotion. Now that I watch it again, it's such a sad scene to me.
Welcome to the gof btw
I know. I'm trying my best to patiently wait for it.Quote from: Dr. Rex,Aug 5 2015 on 05:29 PMI've been following this forum on and off for a while now, but I decided to join after seeing the trailer for this movie.Yeah I know early 2016 does seem like a long wait. But that also means that Universal may be trying their best on this movie..... From what I've seen from the trailer it seems like it'll be amazing.... The wait will be worth it
I've gotta say: I'm SO PUMPED for this new movie. I'm even more excited by it knowing that Chomper and Ruby are in it somehow. I don't care if it's a cameo or a subplot; it's still a big plus for me. As for it being a prequel to the TV series or not, I'm not willing to spin my brain out of my head figuring it out; I will wait until I watch it for confirmation.
Or I can follow the discussion thread about it and find out.
Either way, I can't wait to watch it! So, it'll be out on February or March? Sounds too long of a wait.
He could have recovered underwater and swam out, recent research shows a T. rex didn't need arms to swim. The lake was small, so though swimming would have taken a lot effort for a T.rex, I have no doubt he would have made it to the shore. But we will never know.Actually, that boulder hit Sharptooth in the belly and sunk him lower into the water. I think it may have knocked him out and caused him to drown as he sunk further into the water (because you can breathe while still unconscious).
