1988 Theatrical Release / Tell Your Story About LBT
« on: March 19, 2008, 07:49:13 AM »
I was seven years old when LBT 2 came out.  I was in the process of learning about dinosaurs in the second grade, and in doing so had developed a love for dinos :D.  Anyhoo, my neighbor's oldest son who was roughly my age came over one Friday afternoon with the newly released sequel.  I loved it immediately.  It was my father's weekend to have visitation with my sis and myself, and I talked him into getting the sequel that night.  I never saw the original until the fourth grade, when we were discussing dinosaurs and cavemen again :p.  There was never a movie that made me cry so much.  What I found strange was how Cera's attitude problem was not to the extent of the original by the time the first sequel came out :wow.  It does not matter, though.  My favorite dinos are threehorns, and she's my favorite threehorn thus far :^.^:.  I don't care what anyone says.  I'll be 22 years old in July and still love LBT just the same.  It's part of who I am and if folks have a prob regarding it I don't give a darn!

Episode Discussion / Discuss: The Great Log Running Game
« on: March 18, 2008, 10:37:22 AM »
Quote from: Malte279,Mar 18 2008 on  08:44 AM
We saw Spike bringing down a tree for the log running game and Littlefoot asked him to do it rather than felling the tree himself. Is it possible that Spike is the strongest of the group? I don’t think it really matters, but usually we perceive him as a glutton while his “volume” may also provide him with more strength than Littlefoot or Cera.

I was wondering about this.  It surprised me Littlefoot did not help Cera walk back home, as he is the most protective of his friends.  Perhaps Spike is stronger than him?  I guess it would be difficult to fully bear another individual's weight along with one's own weight .

Land Before Time TV Series (2007) / LBT TV Series Gone For Good?

I expected a month break.  2 months at most.  Certainly never a year.  I've never heard of a tv series ever doing that.  Here, if it hasn't been aired in 3 months, you might as well consider it dead.
I disagree.  It could have been the writer's strike that delayed them, in addition to the time it takes to animate a season.  I don't think any of us know exactly how long it took them to complete the first season( if that's the case, the animation could've been much better -_-).  Anyhoo, let's not consider the TV series dead just yet.

Starday Wishes / Happy Birthday Keni!
« on: March 16, 2008, 12:47:55 PM »
Happy starday, Keni, and many, many more to come :^.^:.

Back to the simple things. Today, simplicity is your key to having the most successful and satisfying day. That means you'll want to avoid situations that seem overly complex. Instead, choose to do things in the simplest manner possible. It's also a great day to focus your time on favorite places, activities and people.

Another year 'til ya can drink, man!

 :birthday  :yes  :nyah  B)    ;)  :D  :)

General Land Before Time / Bron's Search for Littlefoot
« on: March 13, 2008, 12:13:36 PM »
Hehe, I don't know if this is the place to mention this, but cute avatar LBTL :^.^:.

Some seem to believe Bron was not diligent enough in his search for his son, nor is he the sharpest tool in the shed.  I believe Bron simply wanted a reason to run out on his wife and son.  Searching for more food seemed to be a valid excuse (meant as sarcasm).  What would be the matter with his wife and son tagging along after Littlefoot hatched?  Only a self-centered b****** would walk out on their family in a time of crisis :mad.  This sounds just like, hmmm, Bron!

Speaking of Cera, I was quite shocked when she nearly drowned in that whirlpool.  It was a bit of a heart-breaking moment.  I thought she was a goner.  Glad she survived.

I just saw this ep today.  Yeah, my heart stopped and my gut wrenched when I thought my favorite threehorn was done for :(.

Pretty funny ep, though.  I loved it when Cera gave Scuttle the business :lol!

LBT III reference.  It is nightfall, and Cera and her father are having an argument.

Mr. Threehorn: Cera, I'm your father.  I only want to do what's right for you.

Cera (tear streams down left cheek): You stupid a******!  Racism is so crap!  I don't give a s*** what you think!  You're the biggest jerk!  S**** off! (runs off)

Mr. Threehorn:

Petrie: Ducky still do it!

Ducky: Ah, shut up! (stomps off)

LBT IV, when Cera crawls out of the bubbling goo.  As soon as she gets out, a certain longneck barrels into her, pushing her back in.

Littlefoot:  Hey, guys!  You would'nt believe what I saw!

Cera: S***!

(Others look over at her)

Cera (growls): What?

Johnny Cash-I Walk The Line

I keep a close watch on this heart of mine
I keep my eyes wide open all the time.
I keep the ends out for the tie that binds
Because you're mine,
I walk the line

I find it very, very easy to be true
I find myself alone when each day is through
Yes, I'll admit I'm a fool for you
Because you're mine,
I walk the line

As sure as night is dark and day is light
I keep you on my mind both day and night
And happiness I've known proves that it's right
Because you're mine,
I walk the line

You've got a way to keep me on your side
You give me cause for love that I can't hide
For you I know I'd even try to turn the tide
Because you're mine,
I walk the line

I love rock.  Mostly newer songs, but nothing can beat 80's and 90's rock :yes.

Fav Male Old School Rock groups: Van Halen, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Damn Yankees, Nirvana, Metallica, Faith No More, and the one and only Johnny Cash!

Fav Female Old School Rock groups: Joan Jett, Four Non-Blondes, Garbage, Sophie B. Hawkins (yes, she is considered rock), Bangles, and Cher (her music was rock-style in the late 80's).

General Land Before Time / Grammar Usage
« on: March 11, 2008, 11:45:04 PM »
Don't blame poor grammar usage among kids on LBT .  It's caused by MSN, instant messaging, texting (though I love it), and improper usage of slang.  While Petrie's grammar is a piece of work, Ducky's grammar is a superb, if not, unrealistic standard for even humankind to measure up to .  I personally like Cera's grammar the best :D.  If I recall correctly, a member had once mentioned Cera's use of the word "dumb" as being a grammatical deficiency.  Even after taking university English courses for my degree, I can't recall there being a grammar rule on the word "dumb."  Back on topic, LBT won't cause bad grammar in kids.  In fact, 'cuz the target audience consists of young kids, it is important the vocabulary is kept simple.  I mean, would y'all want the gang speaking like physics students during a lab session ?  Not me!  No sireee!
