The Fridge / About death
« on: June 07, 2017, 04:09:35 PM »
Long ago, when I was still in kindergarten, I had my girlfriend Anya (Anna), who lived not too far from my grandmother's house. I often ran to her house, knocked on the door and asked "Anya will come out?" when her parents opened door to me. The adults were touched, looking at our childishly innocent friendship, and jokingly called us the bride and groom. But one day my relatives made some particularly gloomy faces and said that Anya will not come out any more, because "she crashed in an accident and died."
- What does it mean that she died? I asked, still not understanding anything.
"She is gone. What can you not understand?" my grandmother answered irritably.
Not having understood her explanations, but having felt something wrong, I immediately ran to the Anya's house and began to knock on the heavy iron door.
-Anya will come out? - I asked a question to her father when he opened it to me.
This man did not answer me, but just shut the door right in front of my face. So I first encountered death, losing my best friend. May her soul rest in peace.
A few years later, it suddenly occurred to me that people are mortal and all of them, including me, will sooner or later cease to exist. From the realization of this fact, I just stood in the middle of the room and began to cry in my voice.
-I do not want to die! - I cried, without even trying to wipe my tears.
"You will not die" my mother tried to lie to me, but I knew that she was not telling the truth.
At the age of ten she was the first to tell me about the death of a boy who lived in our house a floor above.
-Get in a whirlpool with his father and drowned. Both were fine swimmers.
Well, okay. So he will no longer be in my life. I felt neither sorrow nor regret, and five minutes later I forgot about the existence of that boy, although we used to often cross in the courtyard with him. From that moment on, I began to treat death more calmly.
Later on, other relatives died, and my reaction to their death was exactly the same, except for the death of my aunt (my father's sister), who, although she made many mistakes, did not deserve to die at such a young age. So I grew up rather insensitive in everything that concerns the death of others. This helped me cope with the losses of my dogs, which I loved very much. Death is an inevitable stage in the life of every being, therefore it should be taken with humility and stoicism.

So, once a new story, I'll have to buy it. Sly Nintendo's analysts were able to attract my interest with another clone game.  :yes For certain in the game there will be new Alola-pokemons. I'm sure about it.

I wrote a lot of fanfiction. Topics for which I write fanfics:
-Digimon (3)
-Pokemon (3)
-Amazing World of Gumball (1)
-Bleach (1)
-Monster Hunter (2)
-The Elder Scrolls (1)
-JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (1)
My biggest work at the moment is a collection of short stories called The Death Alphabet. This is a collection of horrors, the name of each of which begins with a certain letter of the alphabet. Also, I wrote a psychological story about a guy and his friend the little dragon who came from another world. And also, now I'm writing a long story about animals on the Wild West with the main character coyote. All the fanfics can be found in my diary Domiktoriel or on a Ficbook (Rustam Dreemurr). So far, I have not written a fanfic about LBT, but in the future I'll write it.  :yes

3) As for me, Great Valley always be a place like a Heaven. :angel  Or a Promise Land. Or a place that gives salvation.

8) I agree! :yes

One of the main reasons why I love LBT is my childhood memories. As a child, I felt a strong spiritual affinity for the Littlefoot. He was always a role model for me.
Another reason is an excellent soundtrack, which did not bother me even after 20 years of listening.  :)

Are you European? I heard that in Europe you can get from end to end of the country in just 3 hours. It's comfortable. But in Russia the distances are huge. To get from Ossetia to St. Petersburg, I would need a two-day train ride, or maybe more. It is possible and on the plane for 6 hours. Such distances are very exhausting. All my friends live far from me and I can not even see them because of that. Each trains for long distances is a trip to Mysterious Beyond.  :rolleyes

I'm a veeeeery big fan of digimons. :) I watched all the seasons, playing all videogames and reading all manga. As for me, TRI is more like shonen than kodomo. Yes, the visual part of the season far exceeds all previous parts, but there are no good old adventures, where children get into a dangerous and unexplored digital world. This is a drawback. Everything to be shown, we saw in Digimon Adventure 02, soooo... I can rate this season on B-. :yes

1988 Theatrical Release / Tell Your Story About LBT
« on: May 31, 2017, 05:46:26 AM »
Beginning at the age of nine, I began to get seriously involved with LBT. By that time, they created only three parts of the cartoon, but for me it was like "as many as three parts!" :DD In my hobby, I bought videotapes with the same parts of the cartoon in the hope that there would be just another dubbing. Videotapes in the early-90's were a rare and expensive treat, so you can imagine a child who, instead of buying a new cartoon, took what he had already seen. It was a serious sacrifice in favor of my passion. The covers on my tapes were exactly the same as in the photo below, only the inscriptions were in Russian.

I had videotapes with "like an official translation", videotapes with the translation of our Central Channel, when they undertook to broadcast these cartoons (I recorded them on a VHS), as well as videotapes with single-voice amateur translation. How many different names have received Littlefoot in different versions of the translation! Crumbs-Feet, Little Leg, Melkonog.  Then I took these videotapes, turned them on, and brought the audiotape recodrer to the TV when the characters were beginning to sing. So I created a collection of different songs on the audiotapes. I listened to these songs quietly, so that my neighbors would not hear them and did not think that I was a too childish, if I was addicted to such children's songs. :oops
But there were no toys with Littlefoot and the gang. And there were no books with pictures, and in general, there was nothing but the cartoon. But there was something else: my dreams of the Great Valley and the belief that in the future I necessarily I will get there. And that I, perhaps, even become my favorite hero - Littlefoot. It can be said that the LBT was also for me a religion, a place where one can hope to get to avoid cruel reality. :angel
The Great Valley, I later found it - it was closer than it seems - in my memories of childhood. :) True, by the time I was already an adult, but better late than never. But Littlefoot and remained my idol, even despite the fact that it took many years. Subsequently, I was often asked "Rustam, what's your fursona?", To which I replied "I do not have it, I do not associate myself with any furry-character." But now I can say with confidence: my fursona is a little dinosaur! After all, I carried the feeling of unity with Littlefoot through the years and did not lose faith in him. :yes
I can say about Littlefoot: he always did the right thing. And did not hesitate to show weakness. And everyone loved him. For this I liked him. For something that I did not have myself. Other characters from the cartoon I also liked. On the second place in the list of my favorites was Strut - an egg-stealer, who suddenly decided to become a vegetarian. It seems to me that there are many positive qualities hidden in it, and if he succeeds, he could even become friends with the Littlefoot company, and stay in the Great Valley.
But my friends did not support my enthusiasm and mocked the "too childish cartoon". So I had to fan myself.
One of my favorite songs from the LBT it is Kids Like Us.  In this part of movie, Littlefoot surprised me when he went to save the bullies, who always verbally attacked him.
"He's so compassionate!" I thought. I certainly would not have had the heart to do such a good deed in relation to the guys, from whom I received only pokes and tricks. So my idol Littlefoot outstripped me and in part of kindness too. :)

View from the fifth floor of one of the houses. As I said, I live in a small town, so we have a building height of not more than five floors. In other cities there are nine-storey houses, and houses are even higher.

Some residents have cars, which they park right in front of the entrances to the house. This parking is a real problem, because cars take up too much space and interfere with the passage. On the photo, a good example, where car owners have a lot of space, but usually there is not much space.
And here is a night photo of the house.

In this house I once lived. Then our family moved to the cottage. The apartments have poor sound insulation and little space compared to cottages. Apartments are one-room, two-room and three-room, and under the number of rooms are meant only living rooms, not rooms in general. Our family lived in a three-room apartment. One room was a guest room, the other a bedroom of parents, and in the third I lived myself. :)
Now I live in a cottage and that's how part of my room looks.

I have always been a fan of minimalism and tried to get by with the necessary minimum of things. Here are my clothes (from the bottom of the table), and on the top shelf I keep books that are dear to me with memories.  :)

Palaces of the Pioneers? The first time I've heard about this.   Perhaps, such institutions were in large cities, but we did not have them. As far as I know. I did not have time to live during the Soviet Union and my childhood passed after USSR collapse. About the pioneers, I only read books and saw movies, but I did not see them personally.
But in my childhood there were Yunnats (Юннаты). It's like pioneers, only without a communist background.  :lol  The Yunnats were doing what they cared about living nature. But I managed to stay in their ranks for a very short time.  :) It seemed to me boring to clean tree branches, and in my spare time to sit among plants and do nothing.
