Brain Food / Dinosaur trivia

Spot on, old chap! Opisthocoelicaudia is one of my favorite dinosaur names simply because it is absolutely terrible trying to pronounce it if you are reading it for the first time. And it's not a very flattering name, either. "Backward-pointing Hollow Tail."
Anyway, your turn.

This sauropod was found in Mongolia by Polish scientists. It is best known for its very stiff tail, which may have been used as a prop when standing on its back legs, and a horridly tongue-twisting name. What is the name of this dinosaur?

That would be Dynamosaurus. Or if you like Dynamosaurus Imperiosus.

Sy let out a loud hooting laugh.
"A Sharptooth! Aye, I guess I might be called that, though you have nothing to fear. I came with the rest of the newcomers. Nothin' to fear from old 'eyesaur' Sy."

Vespucci was the one to determine that the northern and southern continents of the New World were separate from Asia.

(Sharpteeth can't talk, except Chomper. Yes, Sy is technically a sharptooth, but he's not really dangerous. He came along with the other newcomers. You can check out his bio in the character thread.)

(OOC: My, this RP's had its ups and downs, hasn't it. Well, I'll jump in.)

A shadow watched the group from the forest. He narrowed his single eye, his lips curling into a sinister smile.
"Hide and seek," a deep, gravelly voice echoed from all sides, "What a wonderful idea."
A large dinosaur, ten feet tall, stepped into the open, a pair of wafer-thin crests running the length of his snout, and a tattered frill folded neatly against his neck.
In the place of his right eye there was a gaping empty socket, surrounded by three slash marks.

"The name's Sy, heheheh."

Role Play Discussion / OK, I just have to say
« on: December 03, 2006, 01:01:50 AM »
I've seen that some of the RPGs have been closed just because they've been inactive for a while. That doesn't exactly seem fair. Maybe someone(me, for starters,) will come along and want to join one, and won't be able to because it's locked.
Maybe it's just me, but that seems kind of unfair.

Granted. Now his spirit will possess everyone else and they will start talking and acting like him.
"Okeyday?"

I wish that someone would corrupt my last wish.

Granted, but you absolutely suck at it.

I wish this wishing would wish itself a wish that wished away every wish for a wish that wished.
I'm not exactly sure what I just said, but go try and corrupt it.

Granted, but we're all using the same character, who happens to be extremely weak.

I wish General Grievous hadn't been killed by Obi-Wan.

Strict-LBT-Only / Character List (for the strict role plays)

Folks, I think we have way too many personal characters already, and with everybody's effort to put the own characters in as much as possible I don't think the result can be an LBT story in which the original characters are of any significant importance.
Um, would that be bad? Seriously, is it that important to lack originality?

Name: Sy

Species: Dilophosaurus Sinensis

Age: 73

Gender: Male

Description: 10 ft tall, 27 ft long. He is green with red and pink splotches going down his back. His frill is heavily damaged, and in some places only tatters of skin.

Bio: Sy is old, older than most creatures in the Great Valley. His motives are not always clear, but he is fairly trustworthy. He is carnivorous, but mostly eats fish and small mammals instead of other dinosaurs. He lost his right eye long ago in a battle with his brother, whom he killed.
Despite his old age, Sy is not elderly or decrepit. He is very wise and crafty, as well as powerful.

(Believe me, I've had this character long before I joined this site. Anything that sounds like it came from another LBT character is purely coincidence.)

Now that's a good book series. But I digress.

I think Harry Potter is a very good series. I'm eager for the seventh book as well.

Sadly, it would be Charizard. The Fell Beast can fly around and claw things. That's about it.

General Grievous vs. Jurassic Park T-rex.

Granted. Your piano skills have increased 0.0000000000000000000001%.

I wish for something that is good no matter how it's corrupted.

I wish I could go to Costa Rica.

Silver Screen / Star Wars anyone?

I'm amazed they could find scenes that went so well together. I think that was quite nice.
That supermarket one was awesome. "Watch out for those Thai Fighters!"  :lol

Granted, but it's made out of pins and gets in your eyes. :p

I wish that humans cared more about the environment.
