Spike: Ahem. There is a simple explanation for this. It is an icon for a television channel with a television series based on us 65 million years from now.

I used to swim a lot as a kid, I don't anymore, but I would love to get back into it.

I really shouldn't call this a sport, because its not, but I love martial arts. I have a purple belt in Shintaiqido. What that is, is a mix between Kung Fu, Kaijukenbo, and some other forms of martial arts I can't think of right now :p

I love dancing too. I can belly dance, or just do my own random dance that I made up.

Does anyone wish to help me with the sound track for Twilight Valley?

All I need are suggestions and a review of the pieces I chose.

The criteria for the music suggestions:

Lyrics are fine

ABSOLUTELY NO RAP OR HIP-HOP

Try to avoid electronic (I can't seem to find a piece of electronic music that fits well in LBT and I have about 10+ CDs of electronic music and about 45% of the music on my computer is electronic music.)

The Soundtrack

Littlefoot’s Theme –
Ducky’s Theme -
Cera’s Theme -
Petrie’s Theme -
Pterano’s Theme –
Sierra’s Theme –
Rinkus’s Theme –
Ending Theme –

I'm having a hell of a time trying to get the character themes.
Hmm let's see...

For Little Foot: You Can't Take me (Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmeron)
For Ducky: Snow White Queen (Evanescence)
For Cera: Bad Reputation (Half-Cocked)
For Petrie: Faint (Linkin Park)
For Pterano: My Immortal (Evanescence)
For Sierra: Fear (Disturbed)
Ending: We Shall Overcome (We shall over....come!)

These are only suggestions :p If it's not what you are going for I understand. I never read your fanfic  :DD  :lol

LBT Fanfiction / Legend 1: The Warrior Flyers?

Legend 2:
Friends or Foes?

Song: Ancestral Home

The sun seemed to bake the land as it turned to bright orange and as the flock entered, the Great Valley’s greeting circle.

The wind seemed to be getting stronger as the flyers one by one landed on the soft dirt before the Great Valley herd. It was a comforting temperature as the sun warmed all of the living souls below it and the wind blew to cool them as well. It was a proper balance.

The wind sounded like flute music as the flyers cleared a path for one elderly flyer that was at the tail end of the flock.

As he walked, one by one, each flyer lower themselves to saikeiri before the elderly flyer.

He looked so grand with his head held high and his crest so raised above him. Little Foot gasped as he saw the sun’s rays beaming down at the flyer. He looked like a god!

He must be their leader.

Little Foot thought with awe.

Once the flyer stopped to his grandparents, he un-expectantly gave his grandparents a bow by bending his arm in a bowing position to his chest. He lowered his head a little, as he said with a grand, smooth voice,

“It is an honor to see you and to be part of your magnificent home that you name the Great Valley.”

Grandpa’s deep-set eyes closed as he gave a proper bow to the elderly flyer, “It is a great honor to have you in our valley.”

Grandma also bows to the flyer by dipping her head.

“Welcome to the valley great one.”

Little Foot looks at the great leader’s face. He had some unusual markings on his forehead that Little Foot could not identify. One of the markings was a swirl, while the other marking looked like a triangle of some sort. Little Foot looked at all of the other flyers. They all seemed to have some unique markings on their faces also.

The one swimmer seemed to stand out from the flyers, for she was the only swimmer in the flock.

The elderly peached flyer looked up at the long necks with apprehension in his sparkling, silver eyes, “I do hope we are not intruding are we?”

Grandpa spoke contently, “Not at all. You and your flock are always welcome here. The Great Valley is open for everyone.”

He smiled softly in return, “Thank you. You are a very kind herd indeed.”

The flyer seemed to glow under the sun’s rays, giving him a grand entrance to enlighten his elderly, yet strong masculine features. Then the flyer introduced himself with the most humble voice.

“Oh yes, allow me to introduce my flock and I.”

He gave a respectful bow to Little Foot’s grandparents.

“My name is Kaskae, main shaman of the Air Clan. We have come from the top of the world, where the High Mountains touch the sky. That is our native home.”

One flyer from the back of the flock made a somewhat rude comment,

“You mean it was our native home!”

Everyone looked at the flyer with questioning looks and hard stares. The dark gray flyer turned bright purple. Little Foot half-expected Kaskae to run to the flyer and slap him for his rudeness. To his surprise, Kaskae did nothing. He just simply nodded and continued,

“Yes, Riku speaks some what of the truth, that is not our permanent home anymore, but we plan to stay here in the Great Valley until we can go back. We have been away longer then we should have.”

Kaskae sighed sadly. Some flyers sniffed a little. The sniffing, sobbing, and whispering made some of the great valley dinosaurs nervous. Mr. Three Horn of course was against the flock. He stepped toward Kaskae.

Tria, Mr. Three Horn’s mate rolled her eyes in aversion and humiliation.

“So you only came here to use us as body guards?”

The one flyer that made the “You mean it was our native home,” remark, flew from his clan and went face to face with Mr. Three Horn.

“We did not come here to find body guards, we came here to warn you of this danger we’re escaping!”

Mr. Three Horn threw in another remark.

“Oh really, then what is the danger you’re escaping from?”

Tria was about to step between her mate and the flyer, but the Air Clan swimmer beat her to it.

The one swimmer stomps a foot down to silence the two hard headed dinosaurs.

“Enough! Let our leader speak! He will give a clear explanation to all of your questions.”

Kaskae gives the swimmer a grateful nod as he replied,

“Thank you Zona. I shall explain.”

Zona, so that’s what your name is.

Little Foot thought with admiration as he looked at the extremely dark swimmer.

She took a step back and everyone fell silent.

Kaskae explained about the horrible event. As he did so, Rebecca, held her breath. She figured out most of what Kaskae was going to say.

“Air clan was once a great clan, it was a nation filled with many dinosaur species of all kinds. From flyers to sharp teeth, we were once one of the great four clans known as, Earth, Fire, Water, and of course, Air.”

Kaskae looked at Little Foot, Cera, Ducky, Spike, and Petrie as he said those four nations. He smiled at them as if he could see even deeper than their souls.

Air.

Air.

Air.

Listen.

Listen.

Listen.

To Petrie, the markings on Kaskae’s forehead glowed in a misty clear color. He gasped quietly and drew back. Cera saw him jerk and asked in an unusually worried voice,

“Petrie, are you alright?”

Petrie still stared at the flyer as he answered Cera,

“Yeah, sure, I’m okay.”

Cera shrugged and listened even more deeply to Kaskae. Kaskae continued,

“We were all once four great clans, but it all changed dramatically once a legendary fire clan warrior decided she wanted to take in charge of all four clans. All four nations were against her. Therefore, she decided to make us agree against our will. We,”

Little Foot didn’t mean to, but he interrupted Kaskae,

“So, she was a dictator.”

Cera shushed him. Little Foot gave Cera a cold stare in return. The Air Clan gave him cold stares. The gray flyer, (Riku), blurted,

“How dare you speak when our shaman is making an important statement! Do you even know who Kaskae is?”

Little Foot shivered as he saw Riku’s cold silvery eyes. Kaskae gave Riku a hard stare as he said steadily,

“Riku it was an accident, he didn’t mean to do that.”

Little Foot sighed with relief.

I thought I was going to be sharp tooth meat!

Riku growled, but backed up. Kaskae continued.

“Yes, she was a dictator. Some of her supporters from the Fire Clan and a few rouges united and threatened to attack our clans. That was when this whole war began.”

Kaskae’s voice was now more deep and booming then usual. Even Mr. Three Horn thought he was going to dig into the ground and burry himself. He already was kneading the ground. Cera shook her head in embarrassment.

Dad, keep your cool!

Tria puts her tail on her mate’s back to calm him. Mr. Three Horn then tried to act “macho”.

He’s so proud!

“The name of this flyer was other known as Jagged Fang. The more clans that surrendered to join her clan, the more powerful she became. Once she died of a rare sickness, her two sons and two daughters took her place. That was when the legacy of the black flyer began.”

Kaskae sighed and blinked as if he was blocking away tears. Then he continued.

“That was when also; the new and unusually large band of rouges became known as, The Blood Clan. They live in Bone Valley, much farther north then here. Even farther then the mysterious beyond, but the Blood Clan has announced that the Mysterious Beyond is now part of Bone Valley territory. Half of the world is now Bone Valley territory. That is why we have come here, to find one of the rarest places that are not part of Bone Valley, to find a temporary home, to find the remaining dinosaurs not conquered by the Blood Clan, and to find one of the called three flyers.”

Kaskae looked at Petrie some-what slyly. Petrie gave his friends a puzzled glance. He had an expression that seemed to say, “Was he talking about me?”

Rebecca shivered at the thought of Blood Clan taking over Great Valley. The Great Valley would no longer be a precious place for far walkers to settle, but it would be a part of the wasteland known as Bone Valley. Rebecca then asked the question that got the most horrible answer,

“Kaskae, I hope when I ask this,”

Rebecca looked at the Air Clan and then her children. She gulped when she repeated her question.

“I hope when I ask this, that no one gets on their,”

Rebecca stalled again because of four air clan flyers staring at her as if to say, “Who told you that you could speak?”

“On their defense mode, exactly, who is the Blood Clan leader now?”

When the rest of Air Clan gave Rebecca cold glares, Kaskae’s facial expression was gentle and understanding. Kaskae answered her steadily.

“The Blood Clan leader.”

Kaskae paused for an eerie moment. Finally he replies.

“Black Death is the Blood Clan leader. He has ruled over 30 moons.

“Some say he’s even more worse then Jagged Fang!”

Kaskae looks to the elderly light-peached flyer that made the comment. The flyer had a ginger blotch on his shoulders. Kaskae looks to the flyer, silently telling him that it was not his place to speak yet. The flyer looked to Rebecca than Kaskae. Then he said in an apologetic tone.

“Terribly sorry, not my place.”

Kaskae turned his head to Rebecca and said in a gentle tone,

“Oh yes, this is Dust Shoulder, one of the last Earth Clan dinosaurs in the world. He escaped the treacheries of Black Death and helped our clan survive at this cold time. Next to me, he is the eldest in our clan.”

Dust Shoulder smiled sheepishly and turned a little red. Rebecca giggled. Petrie makes a sick face as he whispers to his friends.

"Eww gross, mom’s flirting with that flyer!”

Cera whispered a sneer.

“Yeah, maybe you’ll get a new dad!”

Petrie gives Cera a hard stare and snarled a little. Cera took a step back.

After a few moments of chuckling, Mr. Three Horn made a dramatic like statement.

“Wait, Rebecca, why did you even ask such a question?”

Rebecca had a puzzled expression.

“Excuse me?”

Mr. Three Horn comes closer towards Rebecca.

“You heard me. Now answer!”

Mr. Three Horn presses his horn hard against Rebecca. She grunted as her back pressed onto a boulder. Petrie rapidly flew to his mother’s aid.

“Why should she? She has better things to do then impress you!”

“Silence Pterano junior!”

Everyone gasps. The Air Clan flyers stare at Petrie in fear and uncertainty. Petrie was sweating hot. He felt as if he was on fire.

Riku flies next to Mr. Three Horn and narrows his eyes at Petrie as if he could read Petrie’s soul. Petrie snarls in defense.

“Well, well, it seems as if Pterano’s blood thirsty legacy lives on! No wonder why the three horn called you that.”

Petrie showed fiery hatred as he glared into Riku’s cold, icy, silvery eyes.

“Who asked your opinion air head?”

Rebecca screeches as she stepped between the two flyers.

“Knock it off both of you!”

She looked at Petrie with a warning glance. Petrie jerked his head away and mumbled a nasty comment.

“I’ll show you blood thirsty!”

Rebecca stares at Mr. Three Horn and Riku.

“You two both knock it off. Pterano has nothing to do with this conversation. And you will not drag my son in this either!”

Mr. Three Horn and Riku grunted in frustration. Riku stalked away, brushed Petrie aside, and snarled at him. Petrie gives Riku a threatening glare.

Just wait, when you aren’t looking, I am going to claw your hide out and leave your intestines to the sharp teeth!

Petrie thought about this threat as he saw Riku stalk away to join the Air Clan.

Mr. Three Horn whispered a threat softly to Rebecca through brisling teeth.

“You better keep that boy of yours under good hands; otherwise, he’ll be banished just like his uncle!”

Rebecca was tempted to get into a fight with Mr. Three Horn, instead she snarled back.

“I bet in my good hands he won’t be banished or be like his uncle in anyway!”

Mr. Three Horn sticks his nose in the air and stalked away to join the other dinosaurs to the thundering falls.

Tria stared at her mate with hard eyes, and then she turned to Rebecca to ask.

“Does he always act like this?”

Rebecca rolled her eyes.

“Yes, he always has. The story of my brother is pretty long; I’ll probably tell you later.”

Tria could see pure pain in Rebecca’s eyes as Rebecca said her words.

It won’t just be long, but it sounds agonizing too.

Tria nods in understanding as she replies.

"Well, I’ll just try to get Topsy to mind his own place.”

Tria then strolled away to join her mate.

One by one, each dinosaur left the greeting circle leaving only Kaskae, Zona, Grandpa and Grandma Longneck, Little Foot, Ducky, Petrie, Rebecca, and one air clan flyer.

Grandpa sighed as he looked toward Kaskae, but gave a sour look to Mr. Three Horn.

“I’m so sorry about some of our behaviors. I feel as if we have dishonored you.”

Kaskae replied with a soft smile.

“No offense taken my friend, our clan is just overwhelmed by all we have been through. I am certain that if our whole clan rests up, we will feel much better.”

Petrie decided to enlighten the conversation by being polite.

“Like we said Kaskae, you and your clan can stay here as long as you want.”

Kaskae chuckled in reply.

“Of course. Thank you. I am sorry for the rude comments Riku has given you. He’s just a bit worked up.”

Petrie tried to sound friendly in reply and forced a smile even though he wanted so much to ridicule Riku behind his back.

"No harm done.”

Anne asked politely to Zona as she walked toward the younger dark brown swimmer.

“Why don’t we show you around? It’s been a while since we had another swimmer in our herd.”

Ducky looked up at the extremely dark brown swimmer in awe. Zona then replied in her smooth, dark tone.

“Of course, thank you very much. It’s been while since I had company such as yourself.”

Anne and Zona walked away. Ducky at first wanted to join them. Instead, she decided to be with her friends. Anne did not ask why her daughter was turning away. This was only because she could automatically guess what her daughter wanted to do.

The elderly long necks walked away with Kaskae following them. One flyer looked at Petrie softly with her bright silvery eyes and broke the silence in a carefree tone.

“Sorry about my brother, he’s just not that friendly toward strangers. He may look like he’s all that, but he’s as much of an air head as everyone else in our clan.”

Ducky and Rebecca giggled a little. Rebecca quickly stopped herself because it would not be kind to laugh at Riku.

Even though he is a jerk! Rebecca thought darkly.

The dark gray flyer then said in a more proper greeting.

“My name’s Reggie, short for Shaman Regina of course.”

Petrie replied in a sneer before he joined Ducky and Little Foot.

“Well you tell Riku that if he goes near my family, I’ll give him a piece of his own joke!”

Rebecca opened her mouth to scold Petrie, but Reggie spoke quicker and derisively.

“Aww, how considerate of you, I’ll make sure my dear brother gets the message right away.”

Petrie gave a sly smile in reply.

Rebecca was rather surprised that Riku’s sister would take Petrie’s remark so lightly and turn it into a joke.

Maybe she’s annoyed with Riku just as much as everyone else. Rebecca thought.

Everyone left the greeting circle. Petrie followed his friends. Cera glared at Petrie in utter suspicion. Soon enough, Cera started an argument with Petrie of how alike he and his uncle were. Petrie spat back cussing words and smart remarks. Cera also complained of how Air Clan was being rude to her father.

As this argument went on, no one, not even quiet Spike noticed a shadow with piercing ice like eyes in their direction. A killing sensation flooded through this shadow’s veins as its teeth and claws flashed under the sun’s rays.

How could Aunt Reggie be so polite with that Pterano aspirant? If I were her, I would slash him on the spot! Just look at him! He has the makings of a bloodthirsty murderer! Has everyone else forgotten what Pterano and Blood Clan did to us? Well, I’ll take the honor of finishing that murderer to be off! Then everyone will see that I will be the best warrior in the history of the clan!

Suddenly the blow of the wind began to die down, it did not sound like music at all. It was dead silence all around. The silence itself took place of the wind and it had its own feeble music.

Darkness

Silence

Air

Fire

Yes, that is true. The creators are too worried about keeping it safe for the kids and I do believe that they had a certain writers strike,(at least, that's what I heard)so they are loosing their creativity. I'm not surprised that it has happened. Especially since the sequels just keep going on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on......

Also, another thing to consider is that the magic that they had in the first 5 movies, isn't the same in the later movies (that's my opinion anyway) However, in the seventh sequel, it had a different kind of magic that was very good too (since that is my favorite LBT movie of all time) but in the later movies? Unfortunately, they did loose it :p

While the music I write typically doesn't have lyrics, I suppose I can post up something here anyway. B)

This is a piece I wrote for my grade 12 final composition assignment in high school.  There were no restrictions on style, length, etc. so I spent a good amount of time and effort and went all-out. :p
http://search3.idrive.com/driveway/jsp/dwa...p?id=n3z0v4h9f4
It's an instrumental piece featuring a small orchestra, choir and keyboard.

I'm working on some cool projects right now, too.  I just want to wait until they're more complete before I post anything more about them. ;)

(Sorry the sound in this mp3 isn't especially realistic...It's the best I could do in 2004, when I recorded this from a MIDI source off of my computer.  The amount of time it would take to convert this to a more realistic format makes it hard to justify doing now.)

Probably not quite what you meant when you mentioned "writing a song" but it's the best I've got. :p
Wow, that was actually very good :) I probably would be able to create music without lyrics if it wasn't for the notes :p I don't understand them at all <_<

Legend 1:
The Warrior flyers?

Under the spirited blanket of the council’s eyes, the stars, speckled on a midnight father sky, and the Grandmother moon spirit keeping an eye on those of midnight sleep and nocturnal dwellers, three particular flyers have one dream, with one goal: to save the world from unfortunate slaughter to their clans and the rest of Mother Earth.

A young male flyer of fire and water feels the pulse of his blood race through his body as he flies to escape this horrifying nightmare. His claws were exceedingly sharp, sharp enough to claw a sharp tooth in half. His crest was tan and high it rose like a crown of a king. His eyes pierced of a hard-core, dark brown. His wings were just like whips slashing the air, as if punishing it for letting him breathe the unnatural air in the eerie battle scene.

Everywhere, screeches of dying dinosaurs filled the air with disturbance and disaster. Blood stained the dirt and colored the trees crimson. The flyer knew some of the voices of these dying dinosaurs. Some in fact were from the Great Valley! However, some force urged him that all he was able to do was fly for his life.

A flyer of pure air, with blue-silver eyes flew from behind of him gives a thrilling screech of terror and warning. The young male flyer looked to this flyer and immediately became in a trance.

This female flyer looked exotic compared to most of the female flyers he had seen before. She was of pure white such as snow and she had a beautiful figure of an hourglass. The white flyer’s claws looked deadly, yet elegant. Even her flashing teeth were weapon like. Her beauty enchanted him in some way. Even though he did not know her, he was in such great fear that he would want to trust anyone to take him away from this hell.

“What’s happening? Who are you and why are we here?”

The white flyer stared at the bright orange colored flyer with dark eyes. He looked so masculine with his deep and intense gaze and his deadly long claws. She would have guessed that he would know what was going on, but it turned out that he was as scared as she was. Besides, he looked at least the same age as her despite his amazingly masculine features.

“Don’t ask me, I don’t know why I’m here, why are you here?”

Unfortunately, the young flyer’s answer died down because of the pure tension, the dying screeches, and the helpless bellows for help. Everywhere they looked; there was dreadfully splattered blood that stained the ground and the clinging and slashing of teeth and claws.

As the male flew, his body temperature began to rise. Sweat poured down his face. Suddenly, he realized, on his skin, flames began to rise. He was on fire, yet it did not burn him. In fact, it seemed like the fire was not even there! It seemed as if it was a part of him all this time.

As the female flyer flew, her skin little by little started thinning out. She suddenly became part of the air, like a phantom! The only part of her you could even notice was her alluring silvery blue eyes.

There seemed to be voices in the wind that chanted,

Fire.

Air.

Fire.

Air.

Fire.

Air.

Fire.

Air.

Also there was chanting a language that the male flyer could not understand:

Heyi yeah ho!
Heyi heyi yeah ho!

Suddenly, with a great strength and deceiving claws, a flyer seized the fire flyer and seemed to be cutting his claws into his victim’s flesh. He flashed an evil smile as he sneered with a harsh tone,

“You and the two called ones will regret the regret the day you messed with me, Blood Clan, and Jagged Fang!”

The fire flyer stared in horror into the eyes of this black flyer. His eyes were like two great bright suns, only these suns had rays of crimson red and the color of the iris looked blood-shot red. His pupils were large with vengeance and hatred. The fire flyer could tell that this flyer caught him for his blood. He wanted to jerk away, but he was too scared to budge. He was also hoping that the flyer would drop him because he was on fire, but the fire did not seem to have any affect on the black flyer.

Heyi, heyi, yeaho

Heyi, heyi, yeaho!!!

The white flyer turns around to see the familiar black flyer. She snarled at him full of rage. She screeched harshly,

“Black Death leave him be!”

“Stop!”

The black flyer, the white flyer, and the fire flyer turned to the new voice that came from a high boulder. The fire flyer squinted his eyes and saw a dark figure with amber glowing eyes, just like fire. He still could not make out the voice.

The figure suddenly strikes lighting at the black flyer that was clutching the smaller fire flyer. The black flyer backed up with a high-pitched screech and dropped the fire flyer. The young fire flyer fell to the ground with a big “oof!” The fire surrounded the flyer in a circle. The fire was protecting him. The fire then rose high as the fiery-eyed flyer rose his wings higher.

The fire flyer puts his hand into fire. His hand suddenly became one with the flames. For an eerie moment, the flyer set himself in the fire. The fire swirled around him, making him stronger, taller, and greater then he felt before. He screeched out to the fire-eyed flyer,

“Who are you?”

For some reason however, his question sounded more like a crackle of a flame then his usual voice. His own changing voice scared him. The other flyer just stared through the smaller fire flyer. He seemed to look beyond him. Suddenly, another voice called out from behind him,

My son, turn this way, I need to warn you about a great tragedy that will happen to you and those you love.

The fire flyer turned around and saw a flyer even more amazing than the flyer that just saved him. The larger flyer was just like the sun, all fire, but the smaller fire flyer could see dark brown eyes in the flames. He gasped at first thinking it was a reflection of him, but the flyer did say my son. Was it his father?

The fire flyer stammered almost out of breath, “D-dad?”

The flaming flyer only blinked in reply. Once he blinked, the young flyer’s surroundings completely changed. Instead of being surrounded by fire, being next to the white flyer, and between the battle, he was in a desert with the same flyer he faced, only this time, the flyer was no longer a flame, he looked like any other flyer that would be living on earth, and they were next to a burning tree. He desperately looked in his surroundings to find the female flyer, but she was nowhere to be found.

“Hey, where is she?” The flyer asked the larger orange flyer frantically. The orange flyer gently rested his hand on the smaller flyer’s head in a calming affect.

Peace my son, you will see her when the time is right, in fact, you and the Air flyer have a destiny intertwined with each other. The council has already sentenced three-called flyers to fulfill the prophecy.

In mental communication, the young flyer replied.

There is still so much I don’t understand! What do you mean by a prophecy? And, who was that flyer that saved me?

Just remember my son, The flyer replied calmly,Fire and Air become one while darkness finds its own element.

The flyer suddenly opened his eyes and this time, they glowed like flames.

Petrie………..
Petrie…………

“Petrie, wake up! I am trying to tell how my dad got his name! How do you think I can tell with all of that screaming! You sounded like you were attacked by someone!”

Petrie gasped. He panted and looked at his surroundings. He was not in the desert with the familiar orange flyer and the burning tree. He was not in that battlefield with everyone screeching desperately for help, nor was the white flyer or the ember-eyed flyer among him; he was surrounded by his friends, with Cera’s hard, dark green eyes glaring at him.

“What?”

Petrie panted as he stared at Cera. Petrie then shook his head to clear his mind.

“Oh, sorry Cera; I had that dream again.”

Petrie tightened his claws at his chest. He could feel his heart pounding powerfully. His heartbeat was steady and loud, just like the beating of his wings when he flew. He remembered the battle, the white flyer, the malevolent black flyer, that amazing flyer that saved him, and the orange flyer that made that quote, “Fire and Air become one, while darkness finds its own element.”

He was glad that Cera woke him up before anything else bad happened, but he was dying to know, who were those three flyers and what did the prophecy mean?

Cera stuck her nose in the air and closed her eyes. To her, what Petrie said was foolishness.

“Well quit sleeping, otherwise you won’t be able to tell about your history and family!”

Petrie rolled his eyes at her. He was becoming fed up with Cera being snobby like this. He would love to knock some sense into that horn face! However, as being a good friend and being distracted by his other friends’ questions, he didn’t have the chance.

Little Foot looked down at his flyer friend worriedly.

Little Foot then said with a sigh.

“Petrie, are you okay? You seem down today.”

Ducky puts a hand lightly on her lips. She looks at Petrie worriedly. Ducky walks up to Little Foot and Petrie. Spike followed her.

“I agree with Little Foot. You do look like you are under the weather, yep, yep, you do. Do you think you’re sick?”

Petrie paused for a moment, and then he coolly replied, “I don’t think so.”

Petrie slides down from the log that he was sitting on.

“It’s just weird that I keep having the same dream over and over.”

“I’m telling you Petrie, your dream might be telling you something.”

Spike walks up to Petrie and licks him. Spike could sense that Petrie woke up from something terrible.

Cera walks up to Little Foot and spoke in her usual snobby way.

“Oh, get real Little Foot! Dreams don’t mean anything, they’re just stupid dreams!”

Little Foot stuck his face into Cera’s face.

“But, it has to mean something, I mean c’mon! He keeps dreaming that dream every single night!”

Petrie rolled his eyes once Little Foot said his words. He was tired of Cera being snobby, but he also was tired of Little Foot defending him all the time. Now that Petrie was older and had more experience for dealing with dinosaurs like Cera, he was quite cable of defending himself.

Unfortunately, Petrie could not defend himself because Cera and Little Foot were already arguing away.

Ducky sighed to her adopted brother, Spike. “This is nonsense! I want to talk more about our family, don’t you Spike?”

After a short pause, Ducky turns around to see Spike staring at the sky.

“Spike?” Ducky giggled as she watched her mute brother. “What are you looking at?”

Ducky runs toward her brother and looks up as well.

“Wow! Little Foot, Cera, Petrie come over here, look what Spike and I found!”

The others walk toward Ducky and Spike and looked up at mysterious flock of flyers in awe.

Petrie points to the sky as he exclaimed in awe.

“Look at all of those flyers!”

Petrie gasped softly in amazement at some of the flyers because they had a striking resemblance to the flyers he saw in his dream. He also noticed a scarred, dark brown swimmer below the flock. It was a bit odd for only one swimmer to be with a pure flyer flock, but Petrie did not make any statements about that.

Cera thingys her head in suspicion.

“Look at all of those scars and bites that they wear.”

Little Foot simply shrugs.

“Maybe they came from hard times.”

Cera stomps her feet, having dirt fly everywhere.

“Or maybe they want to cause trouble!”

Instead of rolling his eyes, Little Foot talks excitedly, in hopes of bringing excitement to his friends.

“Hey, maybe they’re warrior flyers. Wouldn’t that be cool? I mean they have those scars and they have those cool markings on their faces.”

Cera talked in her snobby way again.

“Well, my dad told me about flyers like them. He said they’re out-laws!”

Everyone rolled their eyes. Cera was now getting on their nerves. Cera supported everything her father said.

Petrie looked to the swimmer and pointed to her. He turns his head to Ducky as he said,

“Hey, look, Ducky, there’s also a swimmer just like you. Only she seems older and a little hardy looking.”

Ducky giggles eagerly as she sees the swimmer Petrie was pointing to.

“Yes! Not only are there going to be more flyers, but more swimmers! I am having a good day, I am!”

Petrie smiled at Ducky. He always loved it when Ducky was pleased. She just seemed to be the light of his life. He admired Ducky for that reason. She seemed to make him happy in the simplest ways.

Little Foot looks at the swimmer as well. He rather admired her.

“She’s kind of pretty too.”

Everyone looks at Little Foot and thingy their heads.

“Not that I like her or anything.”

Turning red, Little Foot starts to run down the hill. He tries to change the subject.

“I don’t know about you guys, but I’m going to find out who those dinosaurs are. And,”

He looks at Cera with a hard stare.

“I bet that herd will be nice.”

Little Foot runs down the hill to tell his grandparents about the visitors. Cera at first stalls, she growls, and then runs after Little Foot.

“Hey Little Foot wait up! I’m coming too!”

Ducky exclaimed, “Let’s go Spike! They’ll be a very nice herd; I know they will, I know!”

Spike runs, thinking that his sister was right behind him, but Ducky stopped, realizing that Petrie was not moving an inch. Petrie was just looking at the flock wonderingly. Again, he was in his own thoughts.

Ducky walked to Petrie and said softly,

“Are you coming Petrie?”

Petrie didn’t seem to hear her, so Ducky walked even closer to him, and touched his shoulder gently. Petrie turned to Ducky’s direction and jolted.

Ducky jerked back a little.

Why does he seem so scared of me? Ducky thought wonderingly.

Ducky said softly, “Sorry I scared you.”

There was a short pause. Ducky then spoke again.

“Are you coming with us Petrie?”

Petrie looked rather nervous as his eyes looked from one side to another.

“Um, maybe later Ducky.”

Petrie then looked straight at Ducky as he said in his normal voice,

“I just have a lot on my mind right now.”

Ducky thingys her head.

“Are you sure you’re okay?”

Petrie slammed his hand on his forehead. He sighed in frustration. Then he opened his eyes and spread his wings.

“I don’t know! Ever since I kept having this dream, I haven’t been myself lately! Besides, don’t you remember that Pterano was supposed to come back to the great valley after five winters? He promised but,”

Petrie stalled. He was so upset that he couldn’t say the last part of his sentence. Instead of finishing his sentence, he wrenched away and crossed his arms. He grunted.

Ducky decided to finish Petrie’s sentence.

“He promised, but he never came back. Was that you were trying to say?”

There was still a long pause. Ducky was now just scared. She wasn’t sure if it was her place to interrupt Petrie’s thoughts. He seemed to be in that yelling and upset mood.

“I’m sorry Petrie.”

Ducky lowered her head and slowly walked backwards. As she walked slowly, she said,

“I’m sorry; it was not my place at all. No, no, no!”

A tear rolled off Ducky’s eye. She sniffed a little. She then just walked slowly away, not backwards.

Ducky left Petrie in his own thoughts. Petrie just stared at the flock. He was now sitting down in his own sorrowful thoughts. He wished he did not make Ducky feel ashamed, but he was too heart broken, bewildered, and angry to comfort Ducky or do anything else.

He closed his eyes and a single tear dropped from one of his dark chocolate eyes.

Why does this world make everything so hard for me? Why does everything have to be so difficult?

He re-opened them and looked back at the slow walking Ducky.

He sighed as he got himself up and took off. He called to Ducky.

“Ducky, Ducky wait!”

Ducky looked up at Petrie. Tears were still streaming down her delicate face.

Petrie landed softly on the grass. He walked to Ducky.

“Ducky, I’m so sorry.”

Petrie gently laid a hand on Ducky’s shoulder. He looked at Ducky’s eyes deeply and said in a gentle tone,

“Ducky, I’m just very upset right now, but that’s no excuse for being rude to my friends.”

Ducky sniffed, but smiled a little. Ducky puts a hand on Petrie’s shoulder as she looked at Petrie’s eyes deeply.

“That is alright Petrie. You know I will always be your friend no matter what.”

Petrie smiled a little. Ducky and Petrie hugged. Petrie spoke next,

“And you know I’ll always be your friend no matter what.”

Ducky loved hearing Petrie’s smooth, gentle tone. His voice was as smooth and soft as his dark chocolate eyes.

Finally, they stopped hugging; Petrie nudged Ducky playfully the other way.

“C’mon, let’s go welcome our guests.”

Ducky replied slyly, “Okay.”

Ducky pushed Petrie playfully. Petrie fell on his side with a big “oof!” He looked at Ducky not coldly, but puzzled.

“Hey!”

Ducky sneered as she ran off,

“Race ya!”

Ducky giggled and ran away. Petrie got up to his feet and took off. He flew above Ducky. He laughed a little.

However, Ducky and Petrie did not realize a pair of amber eyes was watching them. The amber eyes were in the tree star tree. The eyes blinked with displeasure.

Once he thought it was safe to fly out, he took off the high branch and flew swiftly and silently away from the two preteen dinosaurs. He looked back at the flock. He gasped as he thought,

Oh no! The flock is still alive! Black Death is not going to be pleased!
