The Party Room / Who would you rather listen to?

Linkin Park, Gorillaz music is kind of lame.

Within Temptation or Nightwish

Silver Screen / 2-D or 3-D animation for movies
« on: September 12, 2011, 07:47:12 PM »
I really couldn't pick one because each has its strong points. For instance, I love movies like Land Before Time and shows like Naruto for their brilliant style of 2d art, and I couldn't ever see them being in 3D. But then there are movies like Toy Story and Wall-E which are so beautifully and masterfully done in 3D, that their level of detail and complexity could never have been achieved in 2D. To me I love both styles and couldn't really favor one over the other.

The Fridge / Cool sky I saw last night
« on: September 11, 2011, 10:33:33 AM »
I thought the sky looked really cool last night. It had a really bright full moon behind a bunch of clouds and gave it a very eerie look. So I took a few pictures of it. I know they are kind of blurry and distorted, I'm not sure if it's my camera's fault, or the fact that it's difficult to take pictures of a sky at night :p

I broke my wrist when I was like 7 by trying to surf down the side of a bunk-bed while sitting in a bucket :slap

I love exploring and will willingly walk through any kind of area, whether it be a swamp or a bunch of bushes with jagged sharp branches.

I can't stand kids (there, I said it :p), until they reach the age where they can successfully communicate with you and understand what you are saying.

I love to hang out with people who are very quiet and mellow.

One of the funnest things for me to do is to sit back and philosophize about life. I love talking about things like human perception and the universe.

I spend more time tweaking a game then I do playing it.

When I get really mad, I tend to just suppress it and hold most of it in until it fades away, which I know isn't always the best thing to do, but it works.

Elevators. I have been on them countless times, but I still don't 100% trust them. They always make a bunch of noise when they move and sound like they're just going to break down any second.

I don't really know what to think of this. It was very hard to even take this video seriously. WHY was that guy talking like such a moron? Is that how he just always talks? Jeez it was annoying.

Anyway, what they showed in the video was certainly nice looking, but I would love to know how on earth they are going to get entire heavily detailed environments to run at acceptable framerates. Well whether this is real or not, this certainly is the future of game development, since you can only do so much with polygons. Everything in real-life is actually made up of atoms, they are just so tiny that we cannot see them, so we perceive groups of these atoms as whole objects. That's pretty much exactly what this engine is doing.

Also who are these people, what company is this? Euclideon? I've never even heard of them before...

Gamers Zone / 3DS Price Cut
« on: August 06, 2011, 10:14:19 PM »
My sister paid about $370 for her 3DS out of some magazine, why she wanted to buy it out of some random magazine is beyond me. But anyway, I always thought handhelds were ridiculously overpriced. Think about the difference in hardware between a handheld and a console, it is huge, handhelds are no doubt very cheap to make, they should not be priced anywhere near what they are priced at.

My Little Pony is compelling in the same way you can't help but look when an old naked guy starts running down the street. You don't want to look but you just can't help yourself.
Ah ha ha ha! Ok that was hilarious :lol

I really gotta watch some episodes of this, I am so curious now. I would love to see what my friends say when they walk in while I have a nice little my pony episode on XD

The Fridge / Wonderful message I woke up to
« on: June 26, 2011, 10:28:05 AM »

Yea seriously. I download japanese subbed animes, big whoop. There are english dubbed dvd sets you can buy in this country of these animes, but I only like the original japanese ones, which you obviously cannot buy anywhere in this country. And frankly, I don't feel like finding a way around this, at least not any time soon, because with my luck, it won't work, and they'll end up being asinine enough to permanently disable my service.

After finding out about stuff like this, I think that it is highly possible that the reason people are experiencing strange, ominous occurrences like these is because these so-called ghosts are really beings of the 4th dimension. It's quite a stretch of the imagination, but consider what was said in this video. A 3-dimensional being coming to observe 2-dimensional beings would be able to see everything in the 2-dimensional being's world all at once, and be able to pass through completely unnoticed through solid objects (hovering "above" the walls, a direction in which 2-dimensional creatures know nothing about.) In the same way, if a 4-dimensional being were to observe our 3-dimensional world, it would be able to see and pass "over" everything (this even includes our bodies, meaning it can see all of our organs, and even touch them). This is because it exists in a higher dimension that we know nothing about, and that we cannot imagine or ever reach. Because of this, a 4-dimensional being would be able to do whatever it wanted without you ever knowing. It could be sitting in the same room as you and you wouldn't even know it. Now people have also said that they have seen things like shadows of ghosts. Well that could very well be a time when that 4-d being crossed into our 3-d world, and we only saw a cross-section of it, or its "shadow" projected into 3 dimensions.

Of course the 4th dimension is all speculation, but if people are really experiencing things like this, I think it is a highly plausible theory.

The Fridge / Honestly wondering
« on: June 23, 2011, 04:02:41 PM »
Honestly, bleh :x I really don't like the fact that that person got the WHOLE SIX characters on their back. It just...doesn't look very appealing. It would be one thing to get one character somewhere like your arm, but to have such a large tattoo of all the characters on your lower back is just...not good looking at all to me.

The one below it is a bit better, since it's on the upper back towards the shoulders.

I don't have a bed in my room. I instead drag a mattress out into the living room every night because out there there is a heater for winter, air conditioner for summer, and a huge tv :P:

Announcements / Big Gang of Five Meeting?

Funny how all of you are talking about spending more than a week together like it's no big deal, when realistically, I don't really think I could do something like that. Maybe I'm just more of a wimp than everyone else (for lack of a better term), but I've tried in the past staying multiple nights away from my family, and well, it did not work out so well. I really couldn't stand it.

but I feel that if I were to be seen in person, it might be disappointing due to the fact I'm really happy not doing anything and just hanging out.
I know exactly what you mean. My friends don't really understand it. Sometimes the most fun thing to do is not much at all :p
