Thank you for being concerned, but I can easily say "nothing at all to worry about," as I was not offended in any way by anyone since I've been here. Nobody ever needs to worry about offending me. Trust me. I am deathly afraid of being in a large body of water, so you have more of a chance to get me to go to a swimming party with no girls my age to flirt with than you do of offending me. No exaggeration. It is nearly impossible to come anywhere close to hurting my feelings, so please, everyone say to me as you wish.

I feel old

Sorry if I sounded a little weird at the end of my report. I said that because I knew my last post probably took longer to read than any of the other ones here, so I justed wanted to be polite and thank everyone for taking to the time to read it, that's all.

I feel a bit awkward with where I'm going with this post. I just found this section today so I haven't answered anything. So without an okay from any authority that I can just ask a question of my own for free, I can't, as it would be unfair to the one who has actually earned the right to ask. But by looking at dates, I noticed that this topic has been left alone for over a month before. But surely people still like to check this section out, so I'll try to say something to keep others occupied until this section officially resumes. So since it wouldn't be fair for me ask something, maybe I can hold your interest by giving an answer and until this gets really popular again and the next person asks an official question, perhaps you can try to figure out which question would have had to have been asked for my answer to fit. Here is my answer as if a real question had actually been asked:

Wow, good question! I'm pretty sure I know one movie that fits this, but since you want two, let me check my facts again to make sure about another, although someone will probably beat me to it.

All right, I got back just in time! No one else responded yet so I can still answer. Here are two movies that fit the criteria that was asked. The Land Before Time IX: Journey to Big Water is one. One character does it to Littlefoot three times for sure. The first two times it happens, it involves all five characters, not just Littlefoot. But the same character does it to only Littlefoot toward the very end. The second movie it happens in is The Land Before Time VI: The Secret of Saurus Rock. One character works alone to do it to Littlefoot twice. The third time it happens, this character works together with another popular character to do it to Littlefoot. I have met the criteria in two movies, though it happens in a variety of circumstances.

Now, try to guess what my question would have been. I'm not cheating anyone out of their rightful turn and I only want to keep this interesting to the fans of this topic who still come here. So when this continues as it was meant to, please ignore this post. New posts can be very far apart here so I'm just being careful, but I know that the long absences that occur from the usuals here are for very good, valid reasons. Limited internet access, busy with scholastic and personal affairs, and/or a heavy work schedule etcetera can keep the most dedicated visitors occupied. As a member here I understand this and I'm trying to contribute what I can while some of the main faces who are normally around this issue are very preoccupied with important issues. I am very sorry if I'm overstepping bounderies in my attempt here and will stop immediately if asked to. I'm just trying to do my part as a member of this community. Later!

All my siblings and I always know what we're getting. Since it was so hard for our parents to know what we like enough to want for Christmas, a while ago, my mother made things simple. She has an amazon.com account and she has each of us take turns putting things in her online cart as long as each of us stay within the range she set up. But every year, she always gets one extra thing for each us that she absolutely knows we want but didn't ask for so we can always have a surprise. This time my list was:
1. A complete N.E.S., otherwise known as the regular nintendo. Complete as in coming with all original parts- the box, manual, controllers, cords, core system, etcetera.
2. An advanced sega saturn controller.
3. Kingdom Hearts: Re Chain of Memories. System- PS2.
4. Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs. System- GBA.
5. ReBoot. System- PS.
6. Sewer Shark. System- SMCD. Considering the system's rarity these days, SMCD stands for Sega Mega CD.
7. Caution: Seaman. System- DC.
As for my surprise, it was a collection of all the old claymation Christmas movies in one box set. I've always loved those. I got a fair amount of money, a gift card for Game Stop, and as usual, lots of chocolate and sour candy.
You probably think because of most of my choices that I am a serious old school gaming fan. Well, you're abolutely right! Highly detailed, full freedom, three dimensional games can be a bit overwhelming for me with my legally blind left eye, so I stick to older games mostly, unless I am a big fan of the series, like Kingdom Hearts. In that case, the exciting story is worth not being able to fully enjoy the gameplay. I have such bad depth perseption that most sports are out of the question, so I usually stick to indoor activities, thus explaining the reason for the theme of my lists. I like this topic. It is always pleasant to see the tastes of people my age these days. It can also show me a bit of your personality, because people don't normally ask for things that just aren't "them." This is quite the learning experience. Please continue.

When a year or so passes, unlike most people my maturity increases dramatically.

Man you're lucky. Everyone I know has said since I was a teenager that I have the maturity of a ten year old. Helpful in seeing things innocently but isn't ideal for a twenty one year old in this society. Sorry, but I couldn't resist responding to that.

There seems to be a certain age at which you are "supposed" to stop watching these things. My parents do not think it's normal that I still watch LBT. They think that at the age of 15, you should be over stuff like that. Not even one of my friends know that I like it. It seems that society has made a certain age limit to a movie and if you do not fall into that age limit but you still watch it, you are considered to be wierd or immature. I find that it is normal to like LBT at any age. I usually watch it whenever I get the chance. I have all of the lbt movies on my ipod and I sometimes watch them on the bus when no one is paying attention. I would be horribly embarrassed if a kid at school got a hold of my ipod and found LBT videos on it. I don't know why I would be embarresed. I only watch LBT on the computer at home because I can encrypt the videos so no one knows I have them. I bought all of the dvd's and ripped them onto the computer. Then I threw the origional dvd's away. Why are we so ashamed to like these video's? Why are we so concerned with others opinion? Why do people like to degrade others who still like LBT when they are past the age of 11? My actions and reactions are illogical when my life involves LBT and others. Where is the logic in embarressment and why do these movies make us embarressed? It seems to me from all of the previous responses that we typically watch LBT when we are alone. Is it truly because we can't find anyone to watch it with or is it because we are so afraid of becoming embarressed and what other people think?

Anyway, it comes down to what you value most, your interests or reputation. Do you care more about the things you like or more about others liking you? Some people like myself, have no emotion about being teased unless it's true. If someone says to me, "You're very unattractive," yeah, that saddens me because I know it's true every time I see myself. But if someone says, "The Land Before Time is stupid," I almost want to laugh because I always find it funny when people say things that they know nothing about. It's obvious when someone knows nothing about something, because when they insult it, they can't give a valid reason why they did it.


The Land Before Time, I hate to admit, is one of those topics that someone will always give you a hard time about. But that doesn't have to a be a problem, unless you value others' views over your own. It is easy for those that don't value others' opinions about their likes and dislikes, but I haven't met too many people like that. It isn't that you're embarrased that you like The Land Before Time, otherwise you would stop coming here. When people give someone a hard time, sometimes that person feels bad that their taste is being rejected, because then the person feels rejected, and the person feels that now he or she doesn't look quite so good in front of other people. So to protect your social standing, it may seem easier to hide that you like it, but then people won't see you for who you really are, but as someone that fits in with them, but however comfortable you may be, you know that you really don't connect with them. It is hard for people to be happy when they value others' approval so much that they can't be themselves. Being who you want to be and expressing yourself will always make you feel better and can be pretty fun. This is an idea. When someone gives you a hard time saying that show is for kids and that people are supposed to stop watching that kind of stuff early on, you could always show them the current 271 members here who are teenagers and up. Even if they think all of us here are crazy, they'll at least know that your not some one of a kind fanatic that thinks differently than everyone else your age. But I believe the song called "The Lesson" from The Land Before Time VIII: The Big Freeze really sums up what I'm trying to say here.

Wanting respect is a good thing, but only if you let people respect who you really are. If you love something with all your heart, you need to give that thing what it deserves and stand up for it. Who knows? Maybe when people try to talk down to you, you could go on and on about what's so great it about until those guys get so fed up they leave you alone about it so they won't have to hear about it anymore. But I suppose it is a bit difficult to understand exactly what your going through. See, I like myself, but love The Land Before Time, so I talk about and praise it wholeheartedly regardless of what happens to me. As long as it's being loved and I can show others enough about it so they might love it too, well, I will continue to be happy, so persecution isn't an issue for me. Without any real evils of The Land Before Time, what could anyone possibly say to make me feel bad about it? How can someone go through life content wanting to believe in something but not being able to admit it? Once you decide if The Land Before Time is more important than how it makes people see you, you can also be one who respects others' opinions while being unaffected by them.

In response to your opening question, I will provide the best response that I can, based on my limited knowledge of the subject. I am not a Top Gear series fan YET because until ten minutes ago, I have never heard of it. But because I love funny shows and my new brother is interested enough to ask about it here, next chance I get, I promise that I will study on the internet everything there is to know about it to satisfy the curiosity that you have awakened within me. I have a special gift. I can become a fan of a something just from knowing all about it and without even enjoying it. And it must be an excellent television series at that since out of all the shows in the world, you asked specifically about these ones. After I understand them fully, perhaps we can chat about them later, all right?

Now for the introduction. You're the first member to join after me, making this the first time I can intruduce myself to a new friend. I am going to truly saver this welcome. You won't find a forum with nicer people. They don't just care of what you can contribute. No this a special kind of forum. The guys here actually care about YOU. I have been here around a week and I've gotten so many personal messages showing how much they care. When I say care, I don't mean like offering you drugs for a special discount or anything. I got a message the first day because someone wanted to get to know me and be friends, and I continue to get friendly messages, multiple of which wishing me a merry Christmas. I have been on a lot of forums before, and I've never gotten a single message before. You'll most likely not get agreed with on every topic, but you'll definately get support. This place isn't just group of friends I've made. I consider everyone here my family, because we all find one thing we have in common (look to the title of the forum for a hint). But if you are sure that you want to be our new brother, you'll have to let us throw mud on you first.

I thought I understood The Land Before Time completely, but when I started reading the posts, I was shocked at the countless things I've never thought of before. It is hard to remember my first day, because after reading people's stuff for just a bit, I blacked out and later heard someone saying 1, 2, 3 Clear! Yeah, this place is that incredible. And while none of it is mine (yet) this place has the most amazing fanfiction. I love it all! And if you've been waiting for Chomper to get a girl who loves him back and you like a lot of adventure and affection, try Sharptooth Valley.

The administraters here aren't what I expected either. I expected to hear people who are always deathly serious and only cared that every rule is left untouched completely. But they include themselves with everyone else in the same way that the members do! They joke around, are incredibly friendly, and really show they care. The first time an administrater completely agrees with you on a Land Before Time issue, it sends a tingle down your spine. It feels so good to know that the authority is on the same page as you. Picture getting a new job, then having the owner come up and tell you how he loves what your doing. Best of all, since everyone sees a wise leader complimenting you, that increases the others' perspective of your work too. Happiness and prestige- oh yeah! It feels good every time, but the first taste of chocolate is the sweetest.

Everyone here will listen to you because they want to hear what you have to say because you're our friend. How can a true Land Before Time not value friendship above most things? We won't put you down if we disagree. That's another good thing about this place. If you say something, and someone feels differently, they're not just going to say, "You're wrong. You don't know what you're talking about." We will always tell you if we disagree, but we'll also tell you why, so you can understand where we're coming from. But if we don't see eye to eye, we will still respect you and your opinion and won't do things to make you feel bad.

Remember, we're just a typical family that uses different words. The adminstraters are the parents in that we can always come to them with a problem and they will listen intently to try to make things better for us in any way, for they want justice for those they've taken under their wing. Members are the brothers and sisters that the parental figures look after. But since most of us aren't blood related, you never know if you might find that special someone that you connect with here. We can play together here all day, but must follow our new parents' rules. Yeah, rules may seem like restrictions, but they actually give us more of a chance of being happy here. If our new parents here didn't care about us when they let us into their home here, they wouldn't have tried so hard to make rules that protect us and make us feel safe. Sometimes the siblings here can fight a bit, but our parents keep a watchful eye on us here and keep things from getting too far. And they're the type who will be calm and collected and thus be kind when having to break up something that shouldn't be. And like all good parents, they listen to both sides of an argument. It is a very exciting time when welcoming a new brother or sister into the family. So happy we're a famly and you're one of us now, bro.

Now I come to one of the best things here: you can completely relax about saying how you feel, because we don't judge people here. Provided, the manners we use when speaking can be an issue, but I have yet to meet a person here I can call "rude," since sounding angry and acting rudely are two completely different things. If you aren't fully satisfied with the overall feeling we send you, it comes with a prepaid envelope and you are welcome to send it back with complaints that will be fully reviewed. This place houses all kinds of people, so trust me, you couldn't possible not fit in. Sorry, but I feel if used sparingly, a double negative can really add a bit of flavor to a conversation.

Based off Ducky's well known character of gratitude, the fact that she didn't thank Littlefoot for something makes me think, and here's what I think (Ruby). From personal experience, I have a pretty good theory. I have always been the type to thank everyone for everything. But something happened. Certain things others did for me happened so often, my brain registered them as routine instead acts of kindness and made it more difficult to remember a "thank you." For example, my father would always get the milk out for me in the morning when I got up, and I would say "thank you", or the more casual, "thanks" when I was still tired. But after it had happened for so long I would sometimes forget to say "thank you." I still appreciated it, but it just registered in me that this was "supposed to happen." I still thanked him for things he did less often, but in a routine situation, it became tough. Because of this, I believe that yes, this probably happened to Ducky so often that it became "part of her life", not as much "someone helping her" as it used to be. Realizing an act of kindness made me remember my manners. When routine rubs out realization, the mind sometimes overlooks the gratitiude that it should express.
