The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

LBT Projects / Re: My Land Before Time Music Projects

I really liked the Ocarina Before Time :duckyhappy
Thank you!  :smile
I was also wondering if you have plans to use the Super Mario 64 soundfont  :thinking
I hadn't thought about it, but that's an excellent idea! I'm not sure which song would be a good fit for it, but I'm open to suggestions.

LBT Projects / My Land Before Time Music Projects
« on: January 10, 2025, 05:30:33 PM »
Now that I've finally finished some music projects that I started a few years ago, I figured I'd make a thread to share them (and hopefully any future music projects I start working on or finish).

First up, what do you get when you take an iconic Land Before Time song and combine it with the distinct, one-of-a-kind instrumentals of one of the best GBA games? You get...

:DocSerious The Lone Dinowar

And what do you get when you take the gentle credits music of The Land Before Time: Into the Mysterious Beyond (based on "If We Hold on Together") and combine it with the serene instrumentals of one of the highest-rated games of all time? You get...

The Ocarina Before Time :MomCompassion

That's all for now, but hopefully I'll have more to share eventually. I've also started making some MIDI adaptations of songs that no one else has made yet, but they're still very much works-in-progress. I started making them on my 3DS with KORG M01D since it's easy to use, but eventually I'll need to export them and edit them with PC software to get the note durations just right.

I apologize for my absence the past few weeks.

I've been meaning to post another error from the third movie where Hyp's spine and the area below his eyes are pink instead of their usual shade of brown for a few seconds.

LBT Fanart / Re: these are two sketch pieces of guido and petrie

I love your art! I think your "very sketchy" style is very simple, distinct, and enjoyable.

I've always liked how Guido is so lovably awkward, and you've captured that quite well. The dialog is also a nice touch, and I can definitely picture them having those conversations.   :feelsgoodman

Thank you for preserving this one, too!

I love being able to add new items to my digital LBT collection.  :PteranoPlotting

Thank you for preserving this!

The Adobe Acrobat crack I have installed has a text scanning feature that recognizes the text and lets me copy and paste it, so extracting it and pasting it into an editable document should be pretty easy.

There's something off with this shot.
I checked, and this only lasted for 1 frame, so good catch! I usually spot animation errors pretty quickly, but even I missed that one.

It looks like if an AI mastered the LBT art style, but still had the common AI mistakes.
was watching LBT 12 and saw spike was missing a part of his eye being colored in
I just checked my HD rips, and they have the same error. It lasts for 2 frames, and in this higher resolution cropped screenshot, I can see that there are a few pixels colored correctly in the corner of his eye.

I'm also surprised that no one mentioned Spike's reflection not matching up with his eye movement in the TV series intro.

And Petrie looks pretty cursed in those frames, too...  :opetrie

General Land Before Time / Re: LBT YouTube Channel
« on: August 04, 2024, 06:49:03 PM »
As weird as it may seem for a channel to keep reuploading the same episodes and content under different titles and thumbnails, it's quite common. To name some other examples, the "Hell's Kitchen" and "MasterChef Canada" channels on YouTube for example, they do that.

And also, Mo-o-o remember when they used to at least clip the art of the correct LBT show or movie when they would upload an LBT clip, something like this for example below.

But now they just always use the generic TV series logo for any clip no matter what.

The fact that they chose this for the thumbnail. Also, these titles are getting worse and worse I'm telling you.

We should do a contest over what the worst YouTube title for LBT videos are.
I vote for "Best Lifflefoot Moments."

Holy crap, they never even noticed that they got the title wrong! :littlefoot

Welcome to the Gang of Five, @Little Anonymous Hacker! :ChomperPOG
And the one I linked to was a reupload. They didn't notice it the first time a year earlier either.

And thank you for the warm welcome!

I just noticed a few days ago that some of the boxart depicts the characters with fur.

Another error missing from this thread is from the scene from the third movie when the adults are arguing. The opening of the scene depicts Petrie's mom with her normal color palette, but the closing of the scene depicts her with Petrie's palette.

Also, when making a GIF of this, I noticed this weird 3D line that lasted for 2 frames.
