1988 Theatrical Release / Re: Tell Your Story About LBT
« on: October 17, 2020, 08:51:11 PM »
@Sharpely Oh my gosh, the way you describe receiving your GoF plushies is almost EXACTLY the way I got mine as a kid! I think I was even the same age! But it happened on my birthday, and I wouldn't get ahold of a Chomper until years later (I would've been SO JEALOUS of your Chomper back then). :lol For years, my LBT plushies were my best friends who I took on all kinds of adventures as well. :D Do you still have yours around?

Coincidentally, I also was 7/8 when I thought I was outgrowing LBT...and yeah, that would definitely prove not to be the case. :p

That's so awesome!!! Unfortunately my LBT stuffed animals are no longer with me, since I lost/forgot about most of my childhood toys around the same time my parents split. I troll eBay on the rare occasion hoping some of them might be there, but so far no such luck. And they're pretty expensive to boot!  :opetrie
Yup, I might've been trying to get away from kid stuff at that age, but I, too, harbored a secret affection for those movies. When I had more little siblings who were in its age demographic, I'd get secretly excited when my mom put those films on for them  :petrieLOL

Same, I would always hint reeeeeaaally hard for my brother to choose LBT when it was his turn to pick movies! :lol

Aw, I'm sorry to hear that you lost those toys. :( What brand were they? I didn't even know there were many Chomper plushies out there before the TV show came around.

LBT Fanfiction / Re: A Glimpse Beyond

I can't thank you guys enough for your reviews, I'm so relieved to hear I did a good job on this after all!

@Anagnos Yeah, I suppose it actually could be a good thing that these prompts usually force me to write shorter things than I'd like, since 1) I actually get the story finished that way and 2) people actually have time to read it! :lol

I'm really shocked, but pleasantly so, that my writing here was able to make you emotional, given that this type of story isn't something I've really ventured into doing before. It's also great to hear that my choices of words and expressions resonated with you, because word choice is something I spend a long time pondering in any type of writing, but particularly when there's a certain mood I'm trying to evoke, and I'm glad I was able to do it effectively here.
Leaving the ending up for debate was one of the things I most enjoyed about writing this. ;)Cera Can't have a Rainbow Face story without some mystery to it.

@Goldenwind
Spoiler: ShowHide
Haha--the MIB mindwipe came into my head as I wrote that scene. I've probably watched those movies several times too many. :p And yes, if we're gonna get into that comparison, the Rainbow Face male is definitely the Agent J to the female's Agent K! :lol

Again, thank you guys so much for the feedback. :chompysmile It's probably thanks to you that I just submitted this to the 2020 Fanfic Awards on a whim!

I've only relatively recently started watching this show on a regular basis, but I'm in love with it!! :ChomperImAwesome And Season 3 is really exceeding my expectations so far, it's awesome! Where my duck fans at?

LBT Projects / Re: Internet Before Time [Updated 2020/10/07]

This looks so fantastic! I love how Littlefoot added a fancy background to his video :littlefoot:) and Cera's camera is turned the wrong way! :cerasus   :lol  Muted Spike is perfectly fitting as well, and the change to the people icons is a nice touch. I also had fun looking for that "Stardisk's Nonsense" Easter egg you always hide in there...for a moment, I thought you'd left it out, but I was wrong. :D

Amazing job!!

LBT Fanart / Re: Drawings by RainbowFaceProtege :)
« on: October 17, 2020, 08:16:37 PM »
Welp, a lot has happened in this thread while I was away. Thanks for all your comments! :spikeblush

Admittedly, the fact that you guys aren't wrong about this looking somewhat like a yellowbelly makes me want to possibly fine-tune this design a bit more now before using it for anything else. :p But at least everybody seems to feel like the design looks pretty nice despite that, so I might live with it. :lol

Anyway, she doesn't really have a name yet. I suppose when I first invented her when I was a kid, I had imagined her with my name, since she was basically my self-insert. For the purposes of sharing online, though, if I give her a name it'll be something different.

General Land Before Time / Re: LBT Dreams?
« on: October 17, 2020, 08:00:22 PM »
@StardustSoldier Now I'm giggling over the image of Cera frightening a sharptooth away with help from some "random newspaper." The fact that your Rooter-clone sounded like he was telling her the LBT equivalent of "use the force" only makes it funnier! :lol

LBT Fanart / Re: jassy’s Fanart
« on: October 17, 2020, 07:55:56 PM »
And another amazing piece by Jassy. Seriously, you need to give "Draw LBT with just your fingertip" classes to us all at some point  :ChomperPOG
WAIT WHAT????? :rhett_shocked You've been doing this with just your FINGER the whole time????? That is truly some superhuman talent!!! :Mo

I'm always in awe of your ability to draw fast biters! The way you do their eyes is gorgeous!! The motion in Screech and Thud's poses is so well done, and the Pterano drawing after that looks so charismatic! You really captured his personality! Your take on Shorty, as always, is PERFECTION--it looks like it could be an official image from a DVD case or something, it's that amazing! And the Thicknose comic is hilarious! I love the "whatever" vibes from the sharptooth on the right. :lol Finally, your original movie redraw looks adorable! You did a great job recreating Littlefoot's joy in that scene, and I also have to comment on how well done the background is!
Fantastic artwork, once again!! :duckyhappy

General Land Before Time / Re: The Land Before Time Toys
« on: October 17, 2020, 07:32:34 PM »
Well, that's quite a find. :olittlefoot I always had thought it was really strange that Spike and Petrie were absent from the Playmates Toys lineup, but now it looks like they were meant to eventually be part of it after all. Maybe they were cancelled because the TV show wasn't very popular?

I wish we had some pictures of what the Petrie toys were going to look like, because show-accurate Petrie toys have always been nonexistent and I'm curious as to whether Playmates would've done a better job on him.

Awesome work, Vojeds! :ChomperPOG Whatever brushes you chose for this, they really created a nice texture, and baby Chomper looks just as adorable as ever!
:rainbowwave Also...now that I've finally seen that other drawing (you know which one I mean), I really think you should show it off to everyone else, too! It's amazing!! :)

LBT Fanart / Re: Drawing fanart from memory
« on: October 17, 2020, 06:06:21 PM »
Well, as my mom was going through some old drawings of mine yesterday, she dug up some LBT art that I DEFINITELY did not use references for. :rhett_ohsnap
Coming soon... :rhett_ohno

WOW!! :Mo This is such a unique and well done character design--I hardly ever see Amargasaurus get any attention, but they're such a cool species! I really hope we'll see more art from you in the future!

These all look really good! I think the cave scene is my favorite. :chompysmile You seem to have a good grasp on shading for a beginner, which is something to be proud of!

LBT Fanart / Re: Stardust's LBT Art Nest
« on: October 17, 2020, 05:54:37 PM »
Haha, I certainly wouldn't have thought of this interpretation for that prompt. :lol This actually reminds me of some unusual LBT plush toys I saw on eBay before--they had the Gang in Halloween costumes and some other outfits.

LBT Fanart / Re: Fanart by Mumbling
« on: October 17, 2020, 05:50:34 PM »
@Mumbling More awesome artwork! The scene with the Useless Sharptooth cracked me up! :petrieLOL And the Ducky picture is too adorable!! You really did a wonderful job on Ducky--I've found her to be one of the more difficult members of the Gang to draw--and the background details are great! I love the flyers in formation overhead!

1988 Theatrical Release / Re: More Original Cels From The First Movie
« on: October 17, 2020, 04:39:37 PM »
Yo, I don't remember that scene where Petrie and Cera are glaring daggers at each other  :olittlefoot Is that a cut one?

It might be from the scene where they fight after Cera insults Littlefoot's mom, but I'm not sure.
