I guess, but since we don't see him react that way, it's possible he may have been able to seperate it from his mom. But I'm pretty sure he doesn't tell Ducky his mother gave it to him, and there really isn't any time between when they meet and when they encounter Petrie when it could have happened.

Civilization VII officially released on Tuesday earlier this week. Initial reviews on Steam appear to be mixed, with most of the criticism suggesting that the game feels incomplete. I have no doubt there will be plenty of DLC coming out in the months ahead, so if any of you were interested in this game, I would recommend having some patience and waiting to see if any improvements get included in whatever additional content might yet be announced and released.
As I've said before, while I do have this game near the top of my wishlist, I probably won't actually purchase it anytime soon, let alone actually play it. I have plenty of smaller games I'd like to get around to first, not to mention I would rather try playing Civilization VI sometime eventually, especially since I'm confident that I've gotten all of the additional content that game will ever have now that the next one in the series has just released.
