Even if it wasn't the same-same treestar, it's still the one his mother "gave" him in that scene where he heard her voice. He even tells Ducky it's mother's special gift, so when it was destroyd, it definitelly broke his heart.

It wasn't actually the one she gave him, since that one was bigger. He was just reminded of her by it. Sure, Ducky says it's the same one, but she can't say that for sure unless Littlefoot told her, and at no point between when they meet and the two come across Petrie does Littlefoot tell her this.

If it was. I doubt Littlefoot would just let it go if it made it to the Great Valley.

Happy (late) New Year everyone!  . I’m new to the forum, and I wanted to start a new thread.

I’m working on a LBT fanfic (my first fanfic in general), and it’s mainly a crossover with Dink the Little Dinosaur entitled Dink Before Time. If you’re not familiar with DTLD, it’s a Ruby-Spears cartoon that aired during the late 80’s/early 90’s. The complete series is currently available on Amazon, and I’ve recently been looking into it thanks to a friend of mine who watched Dink as a child recommending it.

It’s a very cute show, and in my personal headcanon, I'd like to think The Land Before Time and Dink the Little Dinosaur, with their striking similarities, may have taken place in the same universe (or prehistoric universe, that is  ), but showing two locations far away from each other. So I wanted to see what would happen if Dink, Littlefoot, and their respective gangs crossed paths.

I’m already getting started on the first chapter, so once it’s completed, I’ll post it here on the thread while also sharing the link to the fanfiction site.

In the meantime, here’s the official synopsis:

Dink and his friends are forced to flee their home in Green Meadow in order to escape the wrath of Maximus, a vicious and intimidating Carcharodontosaurus who wants Crusty dead for a previous encounter which resulted in Maximus getting severe burns on his face. Seeking refuge, Dink and co. stumble upon the legendary Great Valley, where they meet and befriend the Gang of Seven. However, trouble soon catches up to the young dinosaurs as Maximus, driven by a thirst for revenge and a desire for dominance, sets his sights on invading the Valley, forcing Dink, Littlefoot and their respective groups to work together in order to survive, while receiving help from an unexpected source. Can the two adventure-loving gangs overcome their fears and utilize their teamwork to prevent Maximus from unleashing his reign of terror, while also saving the life of Crusty as well?

Is this franchise officially dead?

Well, it took them nine years to release LBT 14 after LBT 13. With any luck, a new sequel will be announced this year and released in December. One can hope.
