Childhood memories

He hasn't attacked you. He wrote down some information on a children's movie and you call him rude for it because you see him as presenting his opinion as fact.

If you really want us to go in-depth on a fictional movie's probable character motives, you should present things differently, for example:

Your post:

Quote
They ended up bringing bad luck to the Great Valley as they were the ones who broke Saurus Rock,

THAT. WAS, NEVER. CONFIRMED!!!!!!!!!!!

That was NEVER confirmed! Why are you stating that like it's fact?? We don't know that!

Me, personally? I don't believe it EVER caused bad luck (I mean, it's not like there aren't other films where something bad happens n in the great valley!), but do I act like I know that for 100% sure? No! So why are you? Are you trying to deliberatelty mislead people??????

This isn't just a case of having a different opinion. You're deliberately stating your opinion like it's factual.

^ Of course it wasn't confirmed. It is what the kids believed. It is what was implied, very heavily, in the movie. They sang a song about it. The kids were scared about it. No one is going to spell it out for the viewers, but it was heavily implied. But yes, it wasn't confirmed.

Now if you wanted to start a discussion like a non-rude human being, you'd have posted something like this:

Quote
They ended up bringing bad luck to the Great Valley as they were the ones who broke Saurus Rock,

"I think that is a common opinion, but I actually believe they didn't bring bad luck to the Great Valley. It was after all, never confirmed by the writers, so it could be that they brought bad luck, or it could be that they didn't bring bad luck."

Honestly we are not "siding" with anyone. You are just being extremely obnoxious and then immediately apologize afterwards, as if that makes things right.

Now I understand that you are probably on the spectrum, and that is okay, many of us are. But that does not give you the right to act like a tyrant. Stop attacking other members, stop calling them rude for simply posting their thoughts. People have been reporting your posts left and right, people have called you out multiple times in public too.

Perhaps you feel like the entire forum is against you... But you have to ask, if the entire place is against you, is the place the problem, or are you?

I hope you have some time for an introspection. I expect no further comments on members being rude for talking about probably events in the movies or tv series. You're welcome to start a discussion, but please re-read your post two times before you post, and if you feel like you need to apologize for anything in the post, I would recommend leaving it out or rewriting that section. Because you are the one being rude, and we are done with it.

Thank you for trying to understand my point of view. I am indeed on the spectrum, and constantly struggle in real life because of it. But I know it's no excuse to treat others badly.

I think if Diddy had responded to me and explained his side, I would have been able to reconcile his comments that I...didn't care for. Since he never did, I let my frustration get the better of me, and I see now that nothing good was ever going to come of that.

I guess I just felt frustrasted because I felt that no one was hearing me on certain things. That's why I really appreciated your idea on what I could have worded better about the LBT 6 thing, Mumbling. I partially used it to make a thread just now, one I hope is respectful enough. Do you have any suggestions on how I could rephrase the next few comments I made?

Ichy is definitely an evil character,...  He did display somewhat psychopathic tendencies, as he, too, was willing to kill the Gang in cold blood

That first part I STILL feel is him trying to present his opinion as fact. Since Ichy is a carnivore, I never really saw him as acting outside of his natural instinct. I don't mind it if Diddy thinks otherwise, but him saying Ichy is definitely an evil character---as if there isn't any other way of seeing the character---is what bothered me.

I hope that explains things a little better.

General Land Before Time / Did breaking Saurus Rock really bring bad luck?
« Last post by GreyLizard226 on February 22, 2025, 05:44:23 AM »
This is something I feel is I think is a common opinion, but I actually believe it beaking didn't bring bad luck to the Great Valley. Not only was it never confirmed by the writers, but how often has the Great Valley also had bad stuff happen? In LBT 3, we get the water supply being blocked off. In LBT 4, Grandpa Longneck, the valley's leader, suddenly becomes terminally ill. Then in the next movie, all of the leaves are eaten by insects. Several movies after that, there's a huge blizzard and the population of the valley facing starvation, is followed-up in the next film with a monsoon AND an earthquake. A few films after that, a pair of sharp teeth manage to get into the valley...something Saurus Rock supposedly prevents.

Simply put, the Great Valley is not immune to bad luck. If Littlefoot had just accepted this, the last 15-20 minutes of LBT 6 could have been entirely avoided. Honestly, there was a great opportunity at the end for Littlefoot to understand that some kinds of bad luck is self-inflicted, but there are other kinds that just happen, and decide Saurus Rock didn't need to be fixed even after they got the tooth. But nope, they have to fix to "set things right", and even when Grandpa Longneck gently tries to assure Littlefoot that it probably doesn't even exist, Littlefoot still wants to be sure, to which Grandpa humors him. Because, you know, that's the lesson kids should be taught, to be afraid of things that are all in their head.

Aside from Cera's obnoxious cousins, this is the easily the worst thing about LBT 6. The only redeeming part of the kids being so paranoid is that we got easily one of the funnest songs in the series. If only it was enough to compensate.

:confused You seem to have a weird habit of persistently demanding responses from certain members who have long since stopped visiting this site for personal reasons. Are you not even aware that The Friendly Sharptooth and RainbowFaceProtege had both made separate topics several months or years ago announcing they were leaving with intentions of never ever coming back? Honestly, you might as well be expecting a gravestone to somehow respond to your speeches. Do yourself a favor and just let it go. Find something else to do that'll be more worthy of your time and effort.

No way.  They're the ones who started this. I wouldn't have had a problem if they hadn't.

And also...did you even read ANYTHING I wrote in my previous post????? Did I literally write all that for nothing??? Are you saying I'm wrong???

Let me start off by saying I have no desire to get involved in any arguments. But when the same person floods a single topic with practically the exact same content persistently for several months and even years, it eventually starts to get rather annoying for everyone who might read this topic. I've posted plenty of various topics over the years that never really got going, and not once had I ever tried to force others to participate with relentless begging, especially not even years and years later.

What I was trying to emphasize is that the one post you keep responding to over and over (from 14 years ago!) is to a member that has long since left the forum several years ago, and therefore will never respond, no matter how many times you keep asking year after year, because he is simply unaware of anything going on around here. If you're really that desperate for a response from him, you'll need to find some other means of getting in contact with him, but I suspect that might be considered stalking and could get you in some serious trouble if you don't let this go like I had recommended.

In fact, now that I look back on many of those previous posts, this is the exact same argument RainbowFaceProtege had made last year, and it seems you didn't listen to her. I'm not going to waste my time any further. I've made my point, so now I'm moving on to more important matters. I would highly recommend you do the same.

... as I've just warned you in another topic, please consider that warning echoed here, greylizard. I suggest you drop it.

Look, I don’t want to start anything with you. You’re not the person who upset me, and I’m sorry my response to you reflected off that.

But I also wrote a rather detailed analysis two nights ago in this thread, and it saddens me that you’re focusing solely on my sore feelings towards the other user, and not any of the points I tried to make in my analysis.

With that said, I’ll try to stop voicing my frustrations in ways that come across as confrontational. I’m not great when it comes to people saying things that bother me, but I’ll try to keep things friendly.
