The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Hey fellow gaming nuts!

Since acquiring a PS3 and spending more than healthy amounts of time blasting virtual people with the biggest "sod-off" gun I can find (and vice versa) I've had a constant influx of people asking me to become members of their clans. Now, seriously, what's the dealio with gaming clans? Does it give you more rep as a player to be part of a clan? Is anyone here a member of a clan for any particular game(s)? If so, care to shed a little light on the subject?

I don't know much about rep or anything, but i'm a member of a gaming group for Grand Theft Auto games, it doesn't seem to make me much popular, but that Doesn't matter to me. Maybe they are asking you to join gaming clans seeing as you're a good gamer or something?
