Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Good intention, but he will never ever hear you. Thumper posted two times and last logged in to the GOF in February 2005.
I guess in case of people whom one has never ever seen on the GOF it may be a good idea to check out the profile of the member (one click on the name of the person whose birthday is announced at the bottom of the GOF page). And if then one really really wants to congratulate a person who hasn't been on the GOF for years for the person's sake of the person, rather than routine (which reflects poor on the meaning of congratulations given to people who still ARE on the board), I suggest to send PMs or emails to those members "lost in inaction" rather than starting threads which will never be appreciated by those who will never even see it.
Sorry if this sounds too testy. It is not meant to be in any way against you LBTFan13. It really isn't.

We once disactivated those which after years were still validating (never actually confirmed accounts that is). Thumber did post two times which is more than can be said on many accounts.
