Mozilla recently announced that Firefox 3.5 has been released, new features include changes to comply with newer web standards, Location Aware Browsing, a faster JavaScript engine and a Private Browsing mode.

I'm currently using it and I can tell you that it's pretty sweet.  It's quite the upgrade. :)

Will upgrade when portableapps downloads get back online.  I like the portable versions of the software.

I've noticed the changes and improvements since I downloaded this new version.

For starters, the logo is a darker shade of color.  Instead of the light-orange and light-blue deal we're used to, it's now a darker version.  Here's a look of the logo on my desktop now:

If you ask me, I like it. :)

It's definitely faster, no question asked.  I tried it on my Vista Laptop and boy was it fast!  I think Mozilla has created the fastest browser, period.

It's got a "New Tab Button".  You just click it and you get a new tab.  Will take some time to get used to. :P:

Other than a slight upgrade to the graphics of your browser, (So slight it almost is unnoticeable.) there's not much else.

Still, it's a nice upgrade and I'll be keeping it for the time being.

Let's see...

I just got it. A couple of my add ons aren't working anymore now *sad* :p Aw well, too bad... Hopefully they'll be updated soon.

The + tab thing is a bit too big in my opinion, the small thing you could click before to open a new tab was nicer for the eye.

It's quite fast too, you're right on that too John!

I've liked the new version so far.  It does seem to be faster web surfing overall.

Definitely faster. :)  I'm waiting to see what Opera 10 looks like...should be pretty similar.

Recently, I've been running into problems with Firefox 3.5.  Yes, it's faster and such, but there are times it just doesn't work.  There are times it doesn't load a page at all, and when I switch to Chrome, the page loads just fine.

Yesterday, I happened to have the problem of Flash not working with Firefox 3.5.  Chrome was working just fine with Flash.  Video and games worked perfectly on that browser.  It wasn't until I reinstalled Adobe Flash off of Firefox 3.5 that it started working again.

These have been the two main problems.  Firefox's latest version sometimes doesn't load the pages, and sometimes flash just doesn't work.  Chrome is handling it a lot better.

I don't know what's wrong, but it needs to be fixed.

Huh.  I upgraded to 3.5 a while ago and I must say it's a lot faster.  But I have been running into skinning problems.  Sometimes the refresh button just disappears. I can't get it back unless I restart Firefox.

I'm not going back to 3.0 despite the problems however.  No matter how bad Firefox gets it can never be as bad as IE. :p

I'm having no problems with the new Firefox and I'm starting to use it as my default because Opera 9.64 has issues with some pages I visit.

Sweet! One of the things I really liked with Chrome and Safari.  :D
Upgrading now.

I'm still having minor problems with the buttons on 4 of my machines but I'm impressed with the overall stability of the release.  I recently got a really weird .js file error when trying to load GOF, but I have no proof it was the fault of the browser.

I upgraded from the beta version and the most annoying and pervasive problem (locking up when I highlight-copy-paste words from the Internet) is gone.

With the recent update I've received, things have gotten WAY better now.  Everything works now.  I guess it just needed an update. :)

The "new tab" button has been available for quite a few versions now.  You probably just never modified the toolbar to include it.

I like the theme I'm using.  Its easy on the eyes.  Search for "In the Dark". ;)
