Closing of my picture host account

Hi,
on February 15th the place where I hosted pictures and files so far (a tripod account) will close down. I am currently trying to evacuated all the images and stuff to a new photobucket account. The reason why I'm posting this in the announcement section is that I'm not sure if any of you are currently using image links to my old account (e.g. for your awards). In case you do, you may want to save the images and change the links so no pictures will break. I will still host awards etc., so if you want to use a link from my new account, just let me know and I will send you the new url  of the image.

May I ask why you're closing it instead of just making a new photobucket account and using that from now on?  Do you just not like the service?

I did not close or decide to close anything. I did receive an email in January that informed me that the service would cease to exist by February 15th so I created that photobucket account.
However, two days ago I received another mail telling me that the service was to be continued after all (apparently there had been some efforts to preserve it), so no pictures are going to break up.
Anyway, I'm going to use the newly created photobucket account in the future as it provides some useful features the other account did not (e.g. automatic reformating of pictures etc.) and is generally more userfriendly.

Plus since PB is larger and more popular, its more likely to survive than what service you're at now.
