The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

I've been using it for a while and from what I can tell, their new version is absolute s***.  No doubt it still protects you fairly well, but I've found that AVG has gotten increasingly touchy when it comes to normal everyday things.  To be perfectly honest I'm going to be looking for a new antivirus pretty soon here.  I'm seriously looking into Security Essentials but I'm going to have to study it a lot more before I make a switch, that's for sure.  I don't like how the new version of AVG seems to be eating more CPU cycles in the background then it's previous versions.  And the advertisements at the bottom of the window have really sucked.  No.  I'm on the hunt for a new antivirus.  AVG is just getting worse and worse.

I've tried & seen. I think that it has too many unwanted 'pop-ups' if I could call them like that.. Allowing internet explorer and firefox to start up, for example o.o

Not my piece of cake. It looks nice, but that's it :D
