The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Where can I find this screensaver?

Here.  I grabbed it off an old computer of mine.  Should work up to Windows Vista.  Haven't checked it on 7 but I assume it would work.  The text isn't rendered the same in newer OS's as it was back in the Windows 95 days.  Because of this, the text is garbled and makes no sense.  You'll have to remember what the controls are and what they do.  But this is the original screensaver taken from a real Windows 95 installation.

Can't you just grab the font file that 95 uses for that?

Petrie.

^ I think what Austin meant was fonts are rendered differently between the OSes - a reason you may not find the maze screensaver on later versions of Windows. ;)

^Yes, exactly.  All the classic fonts used in Windows 95 (i.e. Times New Roman, Arial, etc.) still exist in modern OS's.  Though I should mention that I've never tried the screensaver on a 32 bit system before.  Most of my main machines have 4gb+ of ram and thus a 64 bit OS.  It may render properly in Vista/7 x32.  I don't know.  It doesn't really matter to me anyway.  It was my favorite screensaver back in the Windows 95 days so I have the controls memorized by heart.  LOL.  Now that I think of it, I was 7 years old the last time I had Windows 95 as my main OS.  I had Windows 98 like a year after I got Windows 95 and I don't remember it being on there.  But it was an awesome screensaver.  I remember going over to my fathers place and seeing the screensaver on his computer.  It rocked. :lol
