The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Do you give to charity?

Do you give to charity?

I give to charity on occassions on those I feel are worthy causes such as Cancer UK, Children's Cancer, Redcross, NSPCC, RSPCA for example.  It's only a little bit of money that I give but it's good enough to help.  Also, I give to children's homes or refuges for women and men who have been abused by their partners, old clothing and toys that I don't use anymore.  Although this latter is more of a family (ie: Mother) orientated aspect.

It's fine if you don't give to charity for whatever reason.:)

I donate occasionally to the local animal shelter I work at.  I brought leashes and collars for the new arrivals.

"Give money to the children? Why? What have children done for me?"

Ahem

Sorry about that.  In reality, not really, only cause I just can't aford it myself.  I mean, if I had enough money in the end of the week then yeah, I'd give some money to like, SPCA or ChildFund or whatever organization.

Damn this world and the whole money situation, damn it all to hell!!!! :anger

I volunteer as an EMT for my town's first aid squad. Does that count?

I usually give to the Salvation Army or to the Humane Society. Usually up to about five hundred for each a year.

When I feel like I really need to, yes.
Petra is a variant of the Greek name "Petros" meaning "strong" or "rock." Andi is a variant of the Greek name "Andy" meaning "masculine" or "brave." Therefore, I am tremendously brave and strong! :lol

I donate $50/month to ASPCA.  Would I donate to humans?  Not a chance.  Why?  Because the animals have it about a billion times worse than we do.  I'd really like to donate more, but honestly finances are a lot tighter now than they were before.  And I didn't do it years ago because they didn't accept PayPal on a subscription basis back then.
