The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

What is with these ads?

Recently I've been seeing a lot of these ads where it's just a Jpg image that has buttons that read "play now", "Download", and "Sign up".

Now what game are they advertising?

And here's an example

I wouldn't click them. I never clicked on ads when I got them in the past. If you're annoyed by ads, then, if you're using Firefox, installed Adblock Plus. Opera has an adblocking software as well you can install called NoAds.

I know no to click on them. The ad in my post was seen in the GOF, which makes no sense because there isn't a game on this site.

I've seen links like that all over the internet. Even on websites where nothing is up for download. I've never clicked on one so I couldn't tell you what exactly they link to. Chances are, not to a game download.
