Thanks. I had thought that Land Before Time XIX and XX were my best ones. However, I guess my brain wave I had when my two cousins Sarah and Olivia (hence where I got the name Olivia for the character) were with me and in the back seat of the car and were being annoying like Dana and Dina gave me the idea for "The Threehorn Gathering".
Also, I thought it could make me love Cera more. Right now she'd be my pick if I was told that I had to kill off a member of the Gang of Seven.
However, I'd rather not kill off anyone in the Gang of Seven.
Anyway, Cera needs to lose some of her tude problems before she hits the Time of Great Growing, which is gonna start in movie XVII: Journey under the Great Valley. (An underground adventure where we get to see what's UNDER the Great Valley, and bring in some smilodons maybe.)
In film XVII: Littlefoot is actually kind of a creep in that one and has a tiny bit of a rebellious streak. (Teenagers do that.
)
Cera is about the human age of 11 or 12 in this one. (Film XVI.) In the next one, she will be 13. (Note, all of the kids, minus Chomper, are 13, though Ruby is 14 or so, er, human wise. Their actual ages are unknown until the last film set when we know that Cera and Ducky are 25, Chomper is 20, Ruby is 22, and Littlefoot, Spike, and Petrie are 24, though that's about the human equivalent of 18, as dinos live longer.)
I do have an interesting Land Before Time XVIII: Hunter Valley which is a "reverse Chomper scenario" where five Velocripators find an egg near a rockslide, its parents and the other eggs having died in it, decide to be parents to it, hatch it, find it's a Club Tail, can't bring themselves to eat a baby, and so keep her and name her Leafie and hide her for many years. Eventually, they come into their teens and realize, that for Leafie's safety, she will need to live somewhere else.)
Also, all in all, I think Rikki-tikki-tavi 3: Revenge of the Cobra Queen is my best fanfiction work ever! (In fact, I like my Rikki-tikki-tavi 2: Rising Tides and Rikki-tikki-tavi 3: REvenge of the Cobra Queen so much that I wish I could find an actual publisher to sell them but don't know where to look.)
Anyway, back to LBT 16: I did think of some reasons that would make sense of why Topps wouldn't be telling Cera, Tria, and Tricia the truth (I guess Olivia got talked into keeping silent.)
1.) It would hurt Topps's Threehorn pride a lot to admit that other Threehorns would have done this horrible act, rather than Longnecks or the much hated Sharpteeth.
2.) If Topps lets them believe Sharpteeth did it, then he might have done it to save shame as he'd probably, at least in his mind, feel ashamed that he'd lost his family to Threehorns, whereas, if they think they lost them to Sharpteeth or whatnot, then he'd look better. I know, it's pride.
Also, having that kind of trauma, plus the bullying from the bad Threehorns as a kid, plus a kind of stern upbringing from Tryus, made Topps the way he is currently is.
In short, he's kind of like Hyp, except he has more sympathy in some ways.
I'm also thinking of bringing Hyp, Nodd, and Mutt back as they might need to learn the lesson of this story too.
Also, there is going to be no cliffhanger at the end of this story. The one that has a cliffhanger is my Land Before Time XIX, with Chomper on the run, Littlefoot banished, Pterano disgraced and his relationship with Petrie looking like it's over, Guido finally realizing that Red Claw killed his family and what had happened to him in the past, what he is and whatnot, and the Great Valley under the grip of a tyrant.
