Is Cera too negative about her dad's new marriage?

I was recently accused of thinking this, and umm...I thought I'd make a topic on it.

Espicially seeing as the other night I had a horrid nightmare in which I was fighting with my dad about it.

Hmm.. this is a tough topic. It depends on the person. Cera usually doesn't want to accept help from anybody, and she hasn't really had a mom, and her father has always been there for her. It would be a hard thing to live with. I mean, she is the aggressive one.

No, I don't think Cera is being to negative. I mean, she oribably loved her real mother very much, and she doesn't want someone to replace her.

Well, this certainly wasn't adressed: just when you'd think they'd actually reveal what happened to Cera's real mom, or at least have Cera mention her, thye don't. It's like the people who make the sequels forgot she even had one (which I admit I understand, since I don't think I caught up on the fact that the one threehorn we briefly see in 1 is her mom)

That mention about that other threehorn in LBT1 makes me think; How long did Cera's mom live? Was it up to when Cera hatched? Was it during the earthshake? The journey back to the great valley? Or was it the period between hatching and the earthshake (which sounds most reasonable to me)?

Well, after the earthquake the narrator says "Cera was on one side of the divide, her parents on the other", and Cera yells, "Mama! Daddy!"

So it doesn't make since that she isn't there at the valley at the end...or does she?

If you look closely as the camera moves to Littefoot and his grandparents...it seems you can see her...

Maybe she was so used to her dad's attention on her. Maybe she was a bit... Jealous or Tria, because she would be ignored by her dad.

^ Which are common reactions in nowaday patchwork families. It can sometimes also work the other way round with a new partner in a relationship begruding the child from a previous relationship for the partner's attention.

One idea that Trulyfantasticme came up with (But I'm sure somebody else did before, just don't know who or where) is that Cera's original mother was part of the herd that Pterano led to their deaths. It would also explain why Mr. Threehorn in particular is so PISSED at him in movie 7.

Interesting! It could also be, that Tria was her mother but left a long time ago and maybe Mr. Threehorn married someone else and--- wait that doesn't make much sense lol. Or perhaps Mr. Threehorn was married (well you know) to Cera's real mother, but then Mr. Threehorn gets in love with Tria, and so like you said in number 7 Cera's mother reportedly might have gone off long ago in anger of Mr. Threehorn, making Mr. Threehorn wanting his daughter to be the best, better than he. Or perhaps the real mom left way earlier. It's hard to know what really happened.

I noticed her actual mom looks a lot like Topps...so much that I thought she was Topps a few times. I think it would be interesting if it was suddenly revealed that she was Topps' sister and had taken the place of Cera's mom when her real mom, Tria, was believed dead or something

I just found this:

The last known sighting of Cera's mother. You can tell cause she's the lighter of the two, pretty much the exact same color as the Topps of the sequels (ironic!)  :wow
